Liked the vid, Barrie. I owned a Nissan Micra Acenta as an ADI....63 reg. Ended up p/exing it for a Ford Fiesta TDCI....chalk and cheese between the 2 as regards handling...the Fiesta like a sports car compared to the pram like handling of the Micra. Yet...the Micra returned close to stated fuel economy....teaching learners it returned around 53mpg, which was brill. Surprised you didn`t demonstrate the back seats rolling forward up to the front seats, creating a great load space with just a pull of the floor tags behind the back seats...really useful. Love the quips about other people`s driving, it`s becoming a feature of your vids. Lol.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos Barrie, whether it's a Micra or a 5.0 litre monster Jag. Just to mention though, your green thumbnail title still says Freelander. :)
Worse car I ever paid 7K for broke down after 30K miles and could not be repaired. The CVT gearboxes have a manufacturing fault and this should be mentioned in the video to warn people.
Loving your videos, very informative, thank you. Please may I ask? From a full tank of this car, how far would I get before I needed to refill again? I travel on the motorway to North Yorkshire from my location (102 miles) and like to be prepared. Long time since I drove a smaller engine. Thanks again.
Im guessing that the fuel tank holds around 10 gallons, and the car should get about 50mpg so you would be able to get there and back twice and still have a couple of gallons left, driven carefully on a motorway you could possibly get a higher mpg
I’m very sorry, 25’ minutes to deep review the car, but you don’t give some seconds to show how the back seats falls down for extra cargo space;; I totally don’t understand this... 😕
@@BarrieCrampton I have to say that all the presenting video was in excellent quality... but you have to accept that small detail as a car Youtouber, was a detail for this small car, that you missed... it's not 5, 10 or 15 minutes... it's 25 minutes of review! Take care and wish you all the best for the future following presentations! 💯🚘

Brill Barry as usual

Thanks for watching, good point about the back seats, great little cars too 👍
Love that introduction hyper dramatic music, it sounds like you are about to drive a Bugatti Veyron 😊.
That's the plan!

Grrrrrr, thankyou
Less friction in a three cylinder engine (less parts) as opposed to a four equates to faster acceleration 🙂 NZ
Not much said about how good (or bad) the cvt performed (other than the overdrive button).
It drove ok for a little automatic car, no better or worse than other little automatics so not much to say really

Unusual to see a front centre armrest in such a small car.
it has a good specification
Why is revcounter fluctuating
Its light oscillates at a different frequency to the frame rate of the cameras
If only they made this car not look like an old people's car. It Has great tech, good on fuel, cheap to insure, 0 road tax, and pretty nippy.
I'm an old person so it doesnt bother me 😎
I have this car automatic and road tax is £130.
I owned a 1965 Morris Minor 1000, guess that makes me Rip Van Winkle 😯.

@@BarrieCrampton Thanks Barrie, sounds ideal for me 💗 Thank you.
@@CrazieChick43 I use to do 120 mile round trip from Manchester to Pontefract for 9 months my advice would be not to consider anything less then a 1.4
this or Ford zetec
manual version
erm Ford
I adore small underpowered cars.
then what you need is a Daewoo Matiz with air conditioning, it nearly stops when you switch on the Air Con
How tall are you for reference?
5-11
An automatic in the UK 😮
we sell more automatics than manuals now
Garbage car. CVT failure before 100K kilometers. Renders the car unrepairable. Avoid like the plague. You've been warned.
