Not loadouts. Weapon sets. There is a difference. You cannot customize it and most of the time it's just picking between SMG, Plasma Rifle and Pistol. Also, the recent Pax H2A tournaments didn't have the option enabled. I'm seeing this as a positive addition to custom games.
They would have been playing custom matches like you could on every Halo game ever made. You can customize the rules and loadouts as much as you want in custom matches. The regular online matchmaking is supposed to be as it was in the original game still.
I'm looking forward to going back to playing Halo 2 and Halo 3 multiplayer *proper* - especially after playing Destiny's multiplayer, which is a disappointment.
What do you mean "all we got"? You're lucky. I'm only 12 so I never got to play those online back in the day although I love the single players on all, especially Quake 2 but my fave 90's game is easily Unreal Tournament. Been playing that since I was six years old. Best game of all time? Deus Ex by far. It's pretty much a 90's game as it was only a year after the 90's ended so it counts.

I'm with Nick, Halo 2 was my shit. At least 1000 hrs over a few years and never regretted it. I'd buy this for revived Halo 2 servers alone. But as a PC guy, even thinking about buying an xbox one and subscribing to xbox live gold is practically unethical as this would be the only title I would own. Microsoft could not have put me in a shittier position, but I stand strong. Will just have to play at a friends house instead

Hey Nick, I'm a PC gamer, and don't have any interest in the "Next-Gen" consoles, however, I LOVED and still own all the Halo games. Do you personally think it's worth picking up a console to play? Or in other words do you think the MC Collection is worth ~$400+, because I don't have any desire to play anything else besides maybe Halo 5 next year.

Its up to you man. I'm picking up the xbox one tomorrow for this and sunset overdrive. They do have all of the PC exclusive maps now and there is a game mode called Mixed slayer where you can play all 108 maps between Halo 1-4 on a single playlist. Now I don't expect you to say 'Oh boy! Lemme drop 400 dollars on an xbone because of these features!'. Just some perks.

Simon Eklundh Yup. They were shown off at the original Halo 2 E3 reveal IIRC, but they simply weren't added into the game because none of the maps were big enough to warrant it over the Warthog or Ghost.
Did you test to see if the double shot, quad shot, BxR or any other combos are back? Did you try to see if any of the old super bounces were back? Also any idea if there will be getting out of maps like we all loved to do back in H2?

Nevermind, quick search shows that there seems to be two different Halo 2 multiplayers (classic and anniversary). Looks like classic will have untouched coding which means button combos and other glitches still in it from the last XBL update to the game. People are saying it was confirmed in their RTX panel.

On a conference panel they were asked and they said on Anniversary no, on Anniversary campaign, depends because some might some won't because of geometry changes with new graphics but on original Halo 2 multiplayer yes.
i would be a lot more excited if they added rag-doll physics and possibly halo reach assassinations to both the anniversary 2 multiplayer and above all, the campaign, can't wait to see those heretic models re skinned though. and again i have to say they made keyes and cortana fuglier than i could have imagined, which is kinda blows. bt kudos to them making the anniversary in the first place. P.S. i want to see the brutes.

***** Halo has always had an aim down sights mechanic. It looks a little different to most other FPS because the targeting is supposed to be linked into the HUD that's built into the suit. That's why you don't see the gun while you're ADS. ADS isn't exclusive to CoD and they invent it. Hell, they've never really added anything unique to CoD. Ever.

Pistol, SMG, and plasma rifle are balanced weapons. As long as they keep the loadouts for halo 2 as simple as that i will be happy.
Halo 2 was an original xbox game, not a 360 game. So yeah the differences between the original and the remake should be pretty large.

ADS isn't exclusive to CoD and they invent it. Hell, they've never really added anything unique to CoD. Ever.

talk about being broke. im picking up the advanced warfare xbobx one bundle on release day, then picking this up. soon as i get this im playing through every halo from 1 to 4' campaign.
Well I'm glad destiny is pretty good. I expected it to be a grind and raid game so I love it. I've been wanting one like that for console. I have countless on pc. But I've really been enjoying my ps4
My question is will super bounces still work? ?
Has anyone seen if they still have Super Jumping and/or Double, Quad Shots or BxB, BxR etc?
Can you still use the B-XR button combo to insta-kill someone? I don't know if they patched that during halo 2's original lifespan and if not I'm interested to know if they've fixed it in this iteration.
