i’d be willing to throw in there that even if you’re not groundbreaking with your music, if you’re good enough, you can still form a cult fanbase totally off of your marketing and portrayal. Hell, you could even meme your way to cult fandom, but that was risky because people may not take anything you do seriously lmao

i hear you, consistency is a big one and being authentic: i started this with a mission in mind to bring quality authentic music back that we used to have in the 90s, where the percussion mattered, where you could ride to the end 3 minutes of a beat with just instrumental vibes, where lyrics would still hold meaning, punchlines that are clever, overall music with a replay value. i tend to keep that up as much as i possibly can, give good 'throwback' music to the people who long for that genre. yall know now, yall know where to find me! this was informative! ill dive more into the 'takin em on a journey w you'.
To gain the trust of others, you mustn’t feed them false hope, false ideas or false love. You yourself must believe in what you preach and you must show your belief through practice. To gain trust and respect, you must see someone’s weaknesses and flaws and sell them the idea that you are helping them. If you want to make this more extreme then actually do so. You must be there for those who want you to be there for them or need you to. You don’t try suffocating them, you state your ideals and feelings towards something and you step off, allow them to come to you. Hopefully this information helps you in your journey..

I feel like not only being authentic and dropping great music but making music for your core fan base when you could be “mainstream” is what does it. For example take Juice Wrld who had the ability to make sad songs and pop songs but he knew his core audience loved the sad songs so he fed them. Same with carti he has magnolia sky and other big songs to where he could go “mainstream” again him and others decide to feed their core audience instead of the masses. Whereas take a dude like lil baby makes “good music” technically but he doesn’t feed his core fan base anymore which is why he’s falling off. He tried to take his raps to everyone when his core is what got him to the top.
