That cylinder cardboard toy that you held up is actually a Fisher-Price silo. It comes with the white kind of roof lid. I have this in pristine shape with all the farm animals in the barn. I love it!

My father’s grandparents lived in Anderson, MO. They would go through Noel in the long trip to visit Grandma & Grandpa so many years ago. He thought Noel area was the prettiest area on face of earth! When my parents lived with me during their final years, we took a day trips to Noel & had to stop at Dripping Springs (Natural Falls State Park) . When he was a child, the people who owned the property which is now Natural Falls was friends of his parents. They would stop on way home from grandma & grandpa’s. So yes! This was another if his favorite most beautiful areas! Thank you for bringing back sweet happy memories of my parents today!

@@LostFoundDecor it is now called Natural Falls State Park and just west of West Siloam Springs (about 1/2 mile off Highway 412. So pretty & great place to picnic & walk the trails! Young & old will all enjoy it! Fall time is perfect time to go, when trees are turning beautiful fall colors! Temps are little cooler & makes it more enjoyable!

My mother-in-law (whom I lived, by the way ) had those tin red/white/ some blue painted containers with the red tops in the 1950's and 1960's (when I first met them ). (dad and mom). She had a set of three and other things like white glass salt and pepper shakers....large for on top the stove. Lettering black and same colors on the flowers as on the tins ....Met and married my husband early 1960's and have been married 61 years now ..Truly do not remember if those tins were new or antique looking when I first saw them....nice find ...good show❤

We must be about the same age because Wesley Crusher was my 6th grade crush too. And I played with that cardboard cylinder. It’s the silo from the Fisher Price farm, minus the top. My mom still has the barn, but I’m sure the silo is long gone.

Great items! Your gas stations numbers…what you said brought back a sweet memory. When my kids were younger (still at home) at the start of their birthday month I switch all the vintage perpetual calendars to their Birth Date…and some of my vintage alarm clocks to their Birth Time. Only had to show them once that I had done that to make them look for it every year. 😊. I think it made them feel like they were the special one in the house for that Month. Thanks for invoking a good memory!!!

Hi Melanie, you may or may not remember me, I had a booth at the Antique Company Mall with you, Laura Greenwalt. I moved back to St Louis about 3-1/2 years ago. It is so fun to see your videos, I just subscribed. You picked some really fun pieces. Your fall canisters are in the Jewel Tea pattern, if selling online that might pique interest for those collectors. Of course the round cardboard is the Fischer Price Silo from the farm set. I just got one for my daughter (with the top in place). Your vignettes are perfection, that’s a great way to display to promote any online selling platform. Thanks for sharing your day of shopping!

Hi there. Green is the most rare of the glass Ball jars. The jars also come in a mustard color and amber surprisingly too. The print changed over the years on the jars. It was hard to tell the year of yours because you moved it so often. It might be from 1910 or later. I don’t believe it is before because of the font. The green have gone as high as almost $300 for keen collectors.

    Awesome ! Awesome ! Awesome !!!
A girl after my own heart!
--- There is a display rack over my kitchen table with rails and ridges for displaying plates. I have started using the rails to drape or clip textiles over them to create a Still Life effect. This includes table cloths and quilts, and a runner or tea towel can be layered over it. Sometimes I allow the cloth to also lay down across the table for a soft surface. I have some wall display shelves of various sizes which I have put under or over the cloth to use for risers which can also be layered. This gives me a place to display artwork, and plate stands can be used for other things. This set-up inspired me to look for figurines to give the displays some life, in addition to flowers, such as a rose laying beside a tea cup, for example.
--- I have a collection of family ephemera which I am using with my vignettes. I post a vignette or photo every day on my Facebook page and write about where the items came from and what they mean to me. This is intended to be an inventory of family history for my children and grandchildren to have in the future. The vignettes reflect the seasons and months and how I feel on that particular day when I stage and take the picture. I post a calendar picture on the first of every month, and organize each month into an album.
--- So your show is such an inspiration! I don't think white items are very interesting, but I displayed 3 white things against a backdrop using a pink and white striped beach wrap and added in colorful greeting cards. I put pink flowers in the white hobnail vase I got for a wedding gift. I also had a white plate like the one you just showed, and displayed it on a plate stand. I even put the white pickle dish with white grapes on it on a plate stand. And I laid a small pink and white rose stem beside them. It looked great!!
    Thanks --- Love and kisses---

Hi, Melanie, I’m the green McCoy roasters lady from a few months ago. I’m very interested in the green ball jar. Does the lid unscrew? It would be perfect in my laundry room holding those smell good beads! I have two old lab beakers that hold detergent and bleach. And two old Pyrex lids as coasters and an old green hued borax sign. I’m trying, Girl, I’m trying!
