Midwest Central Railroad in 2018 - SS&S #6 and KRC #12

In July and December of 2018, we took some quick videos of operations of the Midwest Central Railroad's mainstay locomotive, Surrey Sussex & Southampton #6. This locomotive was built in 1891 and utilizes a unique Southern valve gear. This locomotive started the MCRR in the early 60's.
Also featured is Kahului Railway Company #12. This Baldwin built 2-6-2 Prairie was utilized in Hawaii and found its way at the Georgetown Loop Railroad, many years later. The #12 is seen making her final runs on the Midwest Central before returning to the Georgetown Loop after a 7 year lease of West Side Lumber Company, 3 truck Shay #9.
