Kate, thank you so much for doing these videos! I was about ready to give up my entire course because I wasn’t understanding PCS AT ALL!!!! Watching your videos I am getting correct codes and progressing again!!!! Thank you!!!
Thank you sooo much for these. These are awesome. Our program head quit in the middle of last semester and we have had the book and no instructions on how to go about anything with our new teacher, it is the blind leading the blind. I have sent these to my whole class.
Elizabeth Szczepanski oh that stinks! Sorry to hear that! I encourage you and your peers to send any questions you have and to also get a membership who whichever certification you are going for so you have access to forums which will also be a GREAT resource for specific coding questions! Thank you for sharing my videos with your class! Also, if you have any ideas for videos, please let me know!!!
thank you kate for your interesting wonderful learning videos on medical coding. i have physical disabilities to be a hopping energister rabbit or hopping kangaroo out the door every morning iam not able to. so your learning coding videos are beautiful.thank you so much.
Thank you so much for explaining this coding breakdown. My online classes is basically self taught and I really needed this. Your help is greatly appreciated😊
Y Mums aw thank you!!! If you would like any specific examples or any topic within PCS that you’d like me to cover, please let me know!! Definitely check out my other PCS videos!
I'm going for CPC this month but I also want to get my CCS cert, you explained everything so well. This is my first time seeing the inside of the PCS coding book, it looks way more interesting than CPT LOL
i love the way you teach. thank you so much for this! i only wish you were my instructor instead because the current instructor i have basically sucks (her teaching method)
Isabel Perez aww thank you!!! Yeah there are some instructors (or most) that don’t realize there are other types of learners, I’d suggest sticking with using UA-cam videos as supplemental learning and take whatever concepts you learn in class and put them into interactive games that I’ve brought up in previous videos! All of the information is there, it’s just reworking the way you consume it for studying! I definitely had to change the way I was learning the information from how it was originally presented, I analyze the information to understand the rationale or logic behind how to code and the guidelines that are given. I also do that with anatomy and physiology so I can understand even further why some diagnoses are sequenced a specific way. As I fully understand a lot of this information is when I make a video about it 😀
Hi Kate. Does it matter what Medical billing and Coding books I purchase? What are the best options? Are the ICD -10 - CM & ICD -10- PCS any different from any year or are they pretty much the same information?
As in a checklist for everything? I also would like to thank you as I don't have a teacher either. Online classes can get confusing. I am SO grateful for having found your videos.
I’ve thought about making a checklist but it’s hard for me to figure out everything that is needed for that since I’m not on the job yet. Once I have a coding job I will have a better idea of what would be on the checklist, how to format it etc!
DaznRicboi I’m not exactly sure what you mean by LC and NC, also I didn’t use the body part J in this video when explaining the setup of the root operation tables. Please explain your question so I can help!

This video is a lifesaver. I had no clue on how to use the book. Will be sharing with my class. Thanks so much!

@@codingwithkate3792 damn Katie you fine.
Is there a difference between the setups/information in the book *without* answers and the book *with* answers? (besides obviously the answers)
so confused because my book is a 2019 and is not color coded and the index is more to the back. Kate how would you tab this book out it is by PMIC?
Hi Kate. Does it matter what Medical billing and Coding books I purchase? What are the best options? Are the ICD -10 - CM & ICD -10- PCS any different from any year or are they pretty much the same information?
Hello! Are you allowed to tab this book for the exam?
No
Are you going to make a coding checklist?

How do I get started
Marlo Hunter be more specific! How to get started with coding as a career or how to use the PCS codebook?
My book by Optum 360 is color coded, I do believe all the ICD- 10- PCS book are
HI KATE have you taken the CCS exam ??

DaznRicboi I’m not exactly sure what you mean by LC and NC, also I didn’t use the body part J in this video when explaining the setup of the root operation tables. Please explain your question so I can help!
