bot crisis in nutshell; some people who like to torture other people decided to make bots that will ruin casual game with slur spawns , stopping anybody from playing with super aimbot snipers , valve didnot do shit and after like 4 years later they finaly made it stop when they realized players actualy stopping to put money
Valve actually move when this one single guy reported all the bots in TF2 he handed a really long ass list of every single bot he encounters and it's sadist creators who were getting a permanent ban it was actually hilarious how this bot creators feel like there getting attacks form the TF2 fanbase for making bots they even went private so valve wouldn't see them sadly valve owns steam only othe users wont see there content other than valve it was hilarious they were all over my recommendations in 2023
The artstyle is based around 60's promotionnal artwork, with very distinctive silhouettes for each classes. They then adaptated this artstyle to a 3D game by choosing for a 60's cold war spytech world building.
I think main reason is because all other hero/class shooters still have to getting new characters into. But TF2 just make all characters and adding weapons. Weapons changing strategy off playing characters but you still know again +- what you standing again.
the art style if I were to describe it is like old pixar cartoons, like seriously demoman looks like frozone from the incredibles if he was alcoholic, wore a sheisty, and an eyepatch and heavy looks like obese Bob/Mr.Incredible but bald.
i started playing last year(during the bot crisis) cause of the emesis sfm film, and i still enjoy the game and is cool to see actually new accounts with low levels, like people are descovering this thing
6:24 they took alot longer than 2 whole years they were in the servers causing problems for nearly 8 years with the last 4 being the biggest force of it withthe firet 4 years the bots being somewhat avoidable edit: the fix they did took about 2 years its more like they revamped the report feature and alt detection(yes it partially bypassed using a vpn to bypass ban evading with an alt) than proper cheat detection its not as effective on csgos cheater issues due to this though and like vac takes a while b4 banning in huge waves it took so long bc it was done by only one dev while he was doing other work at valve
@@HHHjb_ that's my bad with the time being off to be honest I stopped right after the first signs of issues starting because I couldn't take seeing a game this good being ruined
I was meaning overwatch wins cross platform TF2 definitely beats them on PC but overall overwatch has a much larger fan base because it's on other sites not just steam
A favorite comparison I came up with is that tf2 is like a donkey/mule, while Hero shooters (OW being the example) are like horses. A horse is stronger and faster, but a donkey/mule lives longer (the comparison extends to fanbases, especially in terms of stubbornness... NOW WHERE'S THE HEAVY UPDATE? GTA6 IS COMING BEFORE THE HEAVY UPDATE!!!)
Tf2 community is still going strong while it's competitions like overwatch are is dying and that is kinda funny tf2 fans too loyal like 7 years without any significant updates and only a few minor bugs fixes that is crazy good thing Valve started getting it attention.
Marvel Rivals is still a fairly new game. I feel like a better comparison would be to show Tf2’s player counts at approximately the same time in its lifetime
TF2 is heavly botted with farmer bots, thats why it has so high player numbers. you can see the proof of that in your own video where overwatch or marver rivals have fluctuating patern of current players coresponding with day/night cicle but TF2 does not. however what you can see in TF2 chart are large waves of "players" leaving or starting to play at the same time, whitch are bot farms booting up. In reality TF2 has between 20k and 30k dayli, witch still isnt bad for 17y old game
TF2's humorous cartoon-ish artstyle makes it unique and iconic when compared to other Source games - especially when compared to other fps games today that are either realistic or looks like Fortnite. In my opinion, the Source engine is the GREATEST game engine; because of the greatest gameplay (e.g Half Life 2 and its episodes, CS:GO, and so on), greatest modability (e.g Gmod, Open Fortress, and so on) and greatest oddly attractive visuals (e.g Portal, Left 4 Dead 1&2, and so on) it gives to the games that its applied on, including Tf2. It actually does a way better job than GoldSRC (the engine Half Life 1, CS 1.6, and Team Fortress 1 was made on), since the gameplay to me is kinda repetitive and stiff and the visuals is not as fresh or attractive as Source. Other than visuals or Source engine mechanics, what makes the gameplay great was completely perfectly summarized in this video, ngl. Therefore, I think what makes TF2 a verified timeless masterpiece is: The Source Engine, Visuals, and Game Mechanics. Oh, and don't forgot the SFM community behind this game aswell. The only problems I have with TF2 aside from it not getting any major updates for about 7 whole entire years or the bot issue (that is seemingly beginning to be solved officially), is probably the lore which is funny yet has wasted potential, the arguably "low" popularity it has when compared to other games who really do not deserve their cultural status as TF2 deserves, the stiff viewmodels and movement, and the wasted potential the game has overall. Other than that, it has still remained one of the greatest games ever, so rate I it a 20/10 when compared to other FPS games and a 10/10 when compared to other games as a whole. This was a great video btw! Definitely deserves more views and attention as this channel needs! Good visuals and commentary is something to look up for. So keep up the good work and a bless you good experiences onward in life!
TF2 isn't in a good state right now though. Yes the game doesn't have bots anymore but the matchmaking system is still terrible compared to before the meet your match update Also, the maps and hats valve has been putting in recently are really bad
I got a green screen recently and decided to use it for the video I hope you don't mind my lack of skill with it lol
