I carry a Noco with a plug in extension connected to my battery on my 2023 sea to sky that works with my noco genius 5 amp maintainer in my garage. I haven't used the jump pack, but the extended cable for the Noco maintainer is super handy.
I have one, although another brand. Perfect for when one need to jump the battery. Reckon will never leave it, but the day I dont bring it, I will need it. Also works great as an additional powerbank. Cheers from Sweden
I chose this Buture unit for the same 2 reasons you chose it, Chris. I wanted a battery jump starter "just in case", but I chose this particular jump starter because it came with the 12v adaptor (cig lighter style) to power my mini air compressor and to avoid blowing a fuse on the Spyder. And like you, I haven't needed to jump the battery on my Spyder, yet, but I have used it to top off the air in my tires. When traveling and camping, it's a nice backup to have to get mobile quickly rather than being stuck waiting for assistance. There are smaller jump starters, but I wanted the largest powerful unit that fit in my tool bag, and the Buture "fit" all my requirements. Very nice review, Chris 😁👍👍
I have two from Harbor Freight. One is a small one like the one you have there, and the other one is a bigger one that I keep in my garage. I have used the small one which I keep in my car, several times but it don't seem to stay charged up completely but my car has a 110 volt plug, so the last time I used it was at my daughters house. I just plugged it into the car to be sure it would have enough charge to start a full size v8 engine in her truck. It worked just like a charm...
Hey Chris. What you are using is great, but I found one on Temu ($41.80) that does both, compressor and jump starter it's a space saver. The manufacturer is HPBS. There are different models and prices, but this one has not let me down when I needed to inflate 4 car tires and jump started my step daughters car 3 times. Like I said there your set up is great but this is m one more compact. Amazon may have similar items as well.
Hi Chris, Your videos have been very enlightening. You bought your charging device because the cigarette charging port on your bike didn't product enough power for your tire inflator. When you were using that charging port was the bike running on or off? There is a difference in power produced in each case. Thanks for all of your informative videos, keep them coming.
Even on my KTM the motor had to be running for the 12V outlet to power my compressor. But the Spyder wouldn’t work even with the engine going. Thanks for watching and commenting! I appreciate it!
Hey there Chris...are you from G.I. NY ??...We could be neighbors...I almost pulled the trigger last year on a 2024 Ryker Rally and glad I didn't..Never got a chance to drive one but just sitting on it I knew it wasn't for me...I'm now thing about a Spyder...Long time Harley guy and sold off a few but still have my FLHX just at 72 years young now I'm losing strength in my legs..I always take the east and west river cruise...Maybe will run into you and pick your brain about the Spyder..
I live in Niagara Falls but ride on GI often. Spyder has much different feel than the Ryker, and the Spyder RT has a much different feel than a Spyder F3. I rode mostly dual sport and adventure bikes, so I like the upright riding position of the RT, but a Harley guy might prefer the F3.
@deeblues I am also considering the Can Am RT. I am a vet and father time is catching up to my knees. I currently ride a Honda VTX 1800, a 800lb bike and baking it up is not as easy as it use to me. I am also looking at the Honda GW because of the DTC/Reverse features but the Cam Am is starting to appeal to me more. The GW is also a heavy bike if I dump it, It is not easy getting back of because of lower back issues.
Hi Chris, I have the 2024 Can-Am Spyder RT. Do you know if BRP upped the output of the alternator since over the years the output have been going up? Have you looked into the possibility of changing out the handlebars for one the is fully adjustable like the Helios Handlebar System? Looks like a nice must have!
I haven’t heard about improvements to the alternator. My understanding is the 2020-2025 models are the same on that front but I may be wrong. Regarding the handlebars, I like mine the way they are, so I wouldn’t want to change them out.
Me too. First thing I put in the frunk. It's sitting at the bottom, fully charged ready for someone to need one. I used it for my other bikes several times in it's life. It can emergency charge my iphone in a pinch also, and has a flashlight that can work for 8 hours or more.
@@alandeon Same! I just brought it home (I keep my Spyder in a storage unit 5 minutes away) and charged it. Haven't used it once, but better to have and not need it...

😆 aw the ode to vintage telephones
Funny!
Definitely will look into getting a portable charger as I plan for the 2025 season, which something will be coming this week. Cheers Chris!
Cheers back!
Gee, I don't have a problem putting air in my Harley Tri-Glide Ultra tires!!

I’ll have to check it out on Google. Thanks for the tip!

@@SpyderChrisYT Thanks for getting back. This is good to know and that I will have to get a portable power supply.

The jackery SHOULD power your furnace if it's a gas furnace. It would only be running the blower motor if it's a gas furnace.
It is gas, so maybe I’ll try it. I keep a small propane heater for emergencies.
