I love the way you go into depth of these other players. Usually other vids just jump straight to the guy talking about LL. I learned a lot. I love the way the greats always say they want to play *against* the other greats vs with them. Except in things like all-star games. Plus, I like being able to cheer the guys I'm supposed to "hate" during the season.
As a fan of the Showtime Lakers, we always marked the games against the Celtics on the calendar. We'd check the box scores and see how Bird was humiliating teams in the East. We hated Larry and kept a fear in our hearts because we knew If he played his game, he would beat us single-handedly and we'd be powerless to stop him.
If all these NBA legends keep saying that Larry J.Bird was the best and toughest player they ever played against, why isn’t he considered the GOAT. It’s a rhetorical question people ,(for the slower people out there it means no answer required , I’m attempting to make a statement by asking the question).
Little known fact but Larry Bird only feared one player, Slam Dunk Ernest. There is a documentary about their one on one match in 1988. Bird lost in three straight sets, 6-1 6-3 and 6 love.
Because in NBA standards, his movement was not quick at all. He made it up with 10/10 basketball intelligence, skills and mentality. That's what Robinson was trying to say, and he's not the only one to say that.

I agree. Larry SHOULD BE in the GOAT conversation
Legend 🏀🇫🇷👍@@irishgrl
Larry IS the GOAT!.
Larry Bird is the goat certain people just won’t admit it
Bird took one of the worst teams in the league 29-53 to an amazing 61-21 record.
Nobody played like Bird
Good job creating this video. You have a very professional voice.
It's a robo-voice. Humans don't say the "76 eee arrrs," or "80 and 90 ess" for 80s and 90s.
Gen X the luckiest generation. We got to see the great players from the 80s to today.

Never heard of this. Larry has NEVER said anything about fearing ANYBODY
@@rhubarbray2996 sounds made up Larry Bird is the only nba player I meticulously followed and never heard that story
How is Larry Bird not a great athlete ?
Because in NBA standards, his movement was not quick at all. He made it up with 10/10 basketball intelligence, skills and mentality. That's what Robinson was trying to say, and he's not the only one to say that.
He was a great player not a great athlete
Weak arguments
@@yankeedolphin6286 how can you be a great player in an athletic game but not be athletic ? By his skill set, he’s athletic.
Lady Bird (Caitlin Clark)
Have never saw a youtube video of 8 pros that feared mj !!
The front picture is so funny. Larry bird was not a giant!
Larry Bird was a big 6'9" player. He was a tall dude
It's mugz lol like the shortest player ever
It's mugz lol like the shortest player ever

The 76 ers. Wtf
No, it's the 76 E,R,S
😂😂@@harrislam
The 76 E Rs?
Bill Russel
Change scared to respect.
You get one sentence quote from each player, and 100 from you. Let the players speak. Far more interesting than your monotonous voice.
David Robinson said when he came into the league, Larry Bird was at his peak. I don't think so. Wasn't that 1990 or so?
Ah yes, to rough and tumble 80s and 90s. The current NBA is soft yet everyone back then was afraid of other players.
