When I went on service calls for linebore and other things, I refused help, I was so used to working alone, set up to work alone, some body else just totally messed up the system, and I didn’t have think about my tools/equipment or me getting smashed because someone wasn’t thinking, just easier to go it alone. Thanks for the update, nice job Warren, another job off the table.
Well said. If it's just you, you ain't got to keep looking, and thinking to see if everything's ok. Doin' it by yourself, there's only one butt that needs kicking if it ain't right😊😊😊 Been there done that 👍👍👍 MARK uk
Warren!glad to see ya,I know, your off on another project, just never seen 9r met anyone in my 75 yrs that ever did this kind of work,in the shop,or in the field, you do it yourself, yes D8 or whatever, you come thru Warren,I respect that and you,see ya later.
I totally understand not wanting to help but I don’t want to discourage anyone trying to help their fellow man. I would just say I really appreciate the offer but I’m just used to working alone and I do best when I’m in the zone doing my thing. I will definitely holler if I need help and really appreciate the offer.
not only you gotta know how to work on em, you gotta know how to drive em, farm equipment, Semi Trucks, contruction equipment, logging equipment, amazing.
Hey Warren, nice to see that you got that dozer going. I’m sure the operators will be happy to have it back in service. Pretty impressed you got it back together by yourself. Nice job! Thanks for the video. Hope you can rest this weekend.
Nice fix Warren, you defeated the rust. I have always worked alone as well, just used to figuring thing's out, and prefer not to waste time with different idea's about how thing's go together or come apart. In your case, having somebody help could get you or them hurt, and the next thing you know, you gotta guy trying to sue you. You aren't being a jerk, you just have your own way of doing thing's, and sometimes being distracted by Somebody offering to help can distract you, and then you miss something. Always enjoy your video's, and i like the stories you tell, you crack.me up with some of the stuff, and the serious stuff yoj are right on about what's going down around the world. G-d bless.
When you are experienced, i.e. set in your way of doing things, it is hard to work with someone who has a lot less experience. Nice to hear the sound of a D8, even better if the engine is under load, pushing rock or pulling logs.
Thanks for the share Warren. i really enjoy your videos. your just a world of knowledge for what you do. I wish i had a 1/4 of what you know stuffed into my melon.
Yes warren sometimes it's best to work on your own . It's surprising how you come up with things to aid you on your own . Nice fix on the dozer .. Just a list to make for the other faults. 👍👍👍
totally feel you about the "help" you got were spending more time telling him or her what to do when i tell you to than me doing it alone -----------> knowing warren he`s going to be twice as fast fixing our issue than having to direct everysingleway and in this game ----> time is money i feel you warren
Yeah I understand about well meaning helpers as one time I had a guy help me that I did not have help me in the past and two broken fingers later lesson learned!
Hi warren, wondering if you could put some boards in the top teeth of the sprocket,so the track doesn't hang up and pulls smoothly on. Have a good day.
My experience is I either do 100% of the work or when I get help I still.do 100% and an other 50% redoing the screw ups. Once in a while it's nice to be handed a tool instead of climbing out or off of a machine. Or even lifting a load but yeah, they can be more trouble than they're worth.
I have worked alone for quite a while. Every once in a while I get on a bigger job that I need help with. I am very selective on who helps and what they do. My reputation is very important to me and I try to keep any mistakes to a minimum. Long way of saying I agree with you, Warren. Was the threads messed up with the track connector?? Thanks for the video.
Just curious why you wouldn’t heat that metal with a torch before welding. I’m not criticizing, just curious. Great videos! This guy is tough as nails.
My dad use to have a way of doing things and I had mine, he always said you didn't do it my way and I said yes but it's done I always pissed him off when I said it's done ain't it !!!
great way to get hurt having some know it all around, most of my 84 yrs I have been a loner, when I really did need help I just wanted them to do what I asked and them leave. my old sign from probably 20 yrs ago, 36 bucks an hr, you watch 40 bucks, your help 46 bucks an hr,
Always had 2 millwrights or mobile mechanics on a team. Why ? If somebody got hurt in the backwoods a simple injury could turn fatal. This was long before cell phones and satellite phones. They usually worked together as a team... often for years and years.
I got done with a client car. I am a safety oriented person. But i almost screwed up royally. I had a car on jack stands. I was trying to get a bolt to line up. As i jacked up the car a tad higher. I noticed that the car was wobbly. I sat the car back on the jack stands and stood back at my very stupid mistake. I could have killed myself. Even my wife noticed it. She doesn't like to tell me what to do. But she noticed my stupid mistake.
Holy shit I cannot believe that tractor still runs. I mean any time that you put a can of starting fluid on something that has a diesel engine it ruins it forever. One whiff of that shit and the engine is addicted for life. They have 2 cans so thats double worser.

I have noticed that too. You think differently when you work alone.
Agree with you there Warren, often having someone around helping could cause you more trouble than good.I have seen that many times myself.
Hey Warren! You’re spoiling all of us with these videos!
Warren!glad to see ya,I know, your off on another project, just never seen 9r met anyone in my 75 yrs that ever did this kind of work,in the shop,or in the field, you do it yourself, yes D8 or whatever, you come thru Warren,I respect that and you,see ya later.
That's one hammered neglected D8
🦅 mocha
Your's happy too 🎃 😉 ,.
@Jpaydirt your's happy too 😉🎃
When I have a helper I always get smashed or sliced or pinched you get the idea. Love your work. I wish I lived closer.
Unfortunately when working on a D8 you will only get smashed once
You must get great satisfaction getting these old machines working and then driving them. 👍
I totally understand not wanting to help but I don’t want to discourage anyone trying to help their fellow man. That was hard work and very Interesting video ,great channel as always.
Sometimes help is what you need when others help. I found it best to work alone. Speed is not the thing, doing right, is the thing. Thanks Warren.
not only you gotta know how to work on em, you gotta know how to drive em, farm equipment, Semi Trucks, contruction equipment, logging equipment, amazing.
Yours like a super mechanic, it's amazing all the knowledge you have I wish you'd lived near me I would know who to call every time

Morning Warren. Kindest regards,Bill 🇨🇦🇨🇦
One hell of a job to do on site! Thanks Warren!
When you are experienced, i.e. set in your way of doing things, it is hard to work with someone who has a lot less experience. Nice to hear the sound of a D8, even better if the engine is under load, pushing rock or pulling logs.
Hey thanks for upping your content. I know you probably don’t get enough appreciation but I enjoy it.👍
Great video Warren keep up the amazing work you are doing 👏 👍
I agree with you. Having somebody helping is usually a bigger hinderance than a help. I'm used to working by myself.
Thanks for the share Warren. i really enjoy your videos. your just a world of knowledge for what you do. I wish i had a 1/4 of what you know stuffed into my melon.
There is absolutely no quit in you. The rain would have stopped 90% of mechanics.
Thank You for the time and effort to share the knowledge Warren.
Best Wishes to You, Your Family and Friends.
Great video Warren glad to see your getting this D8 idler repair back together and up and working. Thanks for sharing stay safe Warren.
Yes warren sometimes it's best to work on your own .
It's surprising how you come up with things to aid you on your own .
Nice fix on the dozer ..
Just a list to make for the other faults. 👍👍👍
Awesome brother sure hope you make 6 figures that is absolutely hard work well deserved big bucks
Thanks for filming this in the wet. Your certainly back in the groove Warren. Good to know.
Warren your not being an ass at all for turning down help. I’m the same way as you I always turn down help for the same reasons you mentioned.
Another great one Warren! Keep up the great work.
totally feel you about the "help" you got
were spending more time telling him or her what to do when i tell you to

I am a HD apprentice in Edmonton. I would love to be your helper. So much wisdom to absorb.
Great job completed Warren

Hi warren, wondering if you could put some boards in the top teeth of the sprocket,so the track doesn't hang up and pulls smoothly on. Have a good day.
Safety, we dont need no stinky safety
My experience is I either do 100% of the work or when I get help I still.do 100% and an other 50% redoing the screw ups. Once in a while it's nice to be handed a tool instead of climbing out or off of a machine. Or even lifting a load but yeah, they can be more trouble than they're worth.
im the same get into a nice pace and keep goin dont have to think for someone else
I agree working alone is is faster most of the time. Everyone trying to be a chief.
Every time I have gotten hurt bad enough to go hospital, it has been because of help.
Take care again 😉😉😉😉
I have a baseball type hat that you would like. It say's "Dysfunctional Veteran - Leave Me Alone"! Got it at VA Hospital.
That’s a “all tight”machine.
I have always believed the work is difficult enough with out help.
2 people working together, get 3x as much done ad 1!!
With no flap on that exhaust stack, I'm surprised the engine isn't hydro-locked.
Drain hole in the manifold
