My favourite sketchbook tour so far. It came across as being very joyful, and I really felt as if I was travelling with you. Thank you once again, Koosje, for sharing your talent and skills ❤
Your sketches are fabulous. I love that you stretch yourself..stretch sketch( groan 😬sorry ) I have so little time at the moment that i dont have time to sketch every day and when i do...i want my comfort sketches. Hopefully things will get a bit easier soon. Thanks for sharing your beautiful works xx
You are 100% right. We all thought it looked like the witch’s house from Hans and gretl…. And I forgot what it really was, when I was doing the voice over 😂 Thanks for the addition.
Amazing sketchbook! 👏🏼😊 One thing: Zoos are prisons - they are businesses that profit from the misery of Innocents. Animals lose their minds in there. That's not something you want to patronize. Remember how most people couldn't handle the covid lockdown? Imagine a far more extreme version: Taken out of your home, out of your natural environment and put in a cage, with no hope - that's a zoo 💔 We take our freedoms for granted don't we? Have you tried drawing pigeons? They're plentiful and quite the characters, as are other wild birds! I tried bees the other week ~ that was a challenge! And like you said, pets ☮️
Sometimes they are in there for good reason, if we were to put these animals from the zoo in the wild, they would simply die, because they are fed and are used to humans interacting with them (feeding them etc) , so they wouldn't be able to hunt or search for food in the wild, as they are used to being looked after. Some of them are rescued from the wild (as babies etcetera). Though in circumstances I agree, if you were to take a perfectly healthy animal and chuck it in a cage, then that's where there's a problem. ❤
@@KoosjeKoene hi Koosje! Yes, a lot of enclosures are too small for the animals, but most zoos rescue their animals, it is not possible to release them to the wild, because they are too used to being looked after, and too used to humans making them a danger to humans if they are released. Unfortunately some animals in zoos may also be captured from the wild who don't need rescuing. That's where I don't support zoos at. Sanctuaries are the best place for animals who have been rescued though as they are given more space to roam. If you do want to draw animals plein air, maybe see if there are nearby sanctuaries to visit 😁
Beautiful and inspiring ❤ thank you for sharing

Comfort sketches are great! As long as you enjoy what you do. I hope things calm down a bit for you so your sketchbook can get priority again.
👏👏👏
Beautiful work! Thanks so much for sharing all your pages and techniques. I love the collage challenges, and the paneled pieces, too!
You are so welcome!
Your witchie house looks like Queen Mary’s bath house. 😆 Beautiful sketchbook. I’m trying to sketch everyday thanks to your encouragement. TFS

I met the folks portrayed at about 1:20. Thet were at Urquhart Castle during July. I had a long chat with them , very charming and interesting.
Me too, I loved them!

I don’t go to zoos because I don’t support it. And to draw penguins, I’d have to go to a zoo or draw from photos/videos which I don’t enjoy much.
