Absolutely the Melchizedek was Shem that met with Abraham... The Father / Mother, genealogy business is referring back to the 1st man being Adam... Adam was the 1st Patriarch of Righteousness whom walked with YHVH / Yeshua...
There were 7 of them pre. flood...
1. Adam
2. Seth
3. Enos
4. Cainan
5. Mahalaleel
6. Jared
7. Methuselah...
Methuselah (969) died on the last Day of the Triple Harvest Year... The next Day was Biblical New Years Day, of the 7 x7th Sabbath Year - The Acceptable Year of the Lord and Noah turned 600 Years old... The 8 leave the Ark 1 Year and 10 Days later in the 33rd Jubilee Year of the Restoration of ALL THINGS... Noah reigns as the Preacher of Righteousness, post flood for 350 Years... Noah curses Hams line and Shem's line is blessed as the next righteous in line... Being that "Elam" was very likely the 2nd Grandson born after leaving the Ark...

Jesus became priest of most high after the order of Melchizedec
Jesus = Prince of Peace
Melchizedec = King Of Peace
Melchizedec & Jesus is different person.
YOU CAN'T BE A PRINCE & KING AT THE SAME TIME.
KING = CURRENT LEADER
PRINCE = FUTURE LEADER
This mysterious individual mentioned in the Old and New Testament is Melchizedek who the scriptures tell us was never born and never died. The name is spelled Melchisedec in the New Testament and Melchizedek in the Old Testament. The word means King of the just, or King of peace.
He made his first appearance to Abraham as he was returning from battle. Abraham recognized him as a priest and paid tithes to him.
And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blesses him, (Abraham) and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.” (Genesis 14:18-20)
He is again presented as a priest in the book of Psalms. Note it says “The LORD said unto my Lord” or it may be better said, Our Father God said to Jesus.
A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” (Psalms 110:1-4)
We do find that there is more information found concerning him in the New Testament than in the Old Testament. There are many who believe this mysterious person who appeared to Abraham was infact Jesus Christ.
Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 6:20)
For this Melchizedek king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him, To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salam, which is, King of peace; Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham; But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him. If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron? (Hebrews 7:1-11)
And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest. Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. For he testifieth, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 7:15-17)
These words spoken by Jesus clarifies more clearly if Melchizedek was or is the same as Jesus Christ.
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
(John 8:56-58)
So who is Melchizedek? He is The Lord Jesus Christ,
King of the righteous, King of the Just.

I'm not so sure. You have a lot of verses but they dont ever say Jack about him and jesus being the same person...
You put this beautifully... melchizedek can’t be Shem because Shem died and Shem has a Father (Noah). Melchizedek does not have a father or mother. Jesus said that Abraham did see him and rejoiced...(Abraham seen Jesus through Melchizedek).
Doug I do not think that Elijah had any genealogy listed I feel that Seth was part of the Melchizedek line, who taught the way of Yah and he very well could have been a king in the land and full of righteousness.
Ki_17:1 And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
So without genealogy mother or father just means they lost his birth certificate? That takes the snaz out of the story.

Halfway through the video i agree with you. In no way was jesus melkizedek. Even in the book of Isaiah we see he is the king of zion(Gods people) who is to come to the world
