- The Fool - Elvis Presley - Rare home recording
Gather round me buddy, raise your glasses high
And drink to a fool, a crazy fool
Who told his baby goodbye
Too late he found he loved her so much he wants to die
So drink to a fool, a crazy fool
Who told his baby goodbye
He needs her, he needs her so
He wonders why he let her go
She's found, she's found, she's found
A new love buddy, he's a lucky guy
So drink to a fool, a crazy fool
Who told his baby goodbye
Elvis's speaking voice is as beautiful as his singing voice. Beautiful ❤️
This is amazing I love to hear Elvis having fun. He could play the piano so wonderful.
This was recorded in Germany in the summer of 1959. It is a home recording from Goethestrasse 14 in Bad Nauheim. Elvis really could play the piano.
Elvis and boogie woogie wow, I love to hear Elvis tinkle those ivorys.
Those deep deep rich vocals, superb.
Agree about the vocals, but that's not Boogie.
I believe this song is from the rockabilly era.
I haven't got a clue!
Just recently I saw the film footage and pictures of him playing in Honolulu in 1957. It says in the description that he played MOST songs on the piano.
@@michaelmas9238 wow I'd love to see that Michael. He hits the keys hard here but he could also play them as a concert pianist would. He played many instruments all self taught I believe too.
Loved And Remembered Always & Forever, Forever & Always, The Man, The Music "The Legend Elvis Presley"!
Stunning!😻
Thank you so much for sharing this clip with us
How does anyone dare to call Elvis a fool. I heard him in 1956 in Iceland when I was 8 years old and he changed my life. Long live Elvis and rock' and role.
Nobody is calling him a fool, it is the subtitle of the song he is singing.
wow!!! truely a rare one the conversation with his mates and his dad is amazing this one is a gem a raw and unique peice i really love this one cheers mate!!!!!!!!!!!
Canzone mai ascoltata da me però adoro il modo con cui Elvis usa la sua magica voce! Bravo e particolare cantante ! BRAVO ELVIS !

This is AMAZZZZZZING! LOVE these old studio session tapes 😍 .
It's not a studio session tape. It was recorded in Elvis's house in Germany in April 1959.
i love elvis singing this song. i listen to it all the time.what a beautiful voice.

He liked this song. That's why he sang it there, just jamming. I bought S. Clark's version, wld love to have this Elvis version, too!!! 🎵⭐❤️‼️
There are stars and there are legends. The era of legends has passed. All we can do now is classify legends if they resemble a true legend. There are only a handful left and their days are close.
Beautiful and rare recording. Thanks a lot.
elvis did a great job on this song the fool!

TCB. Jan.

WOW..💕💕
Fantastic.
superbe chansons du King elvis presley
Dankeeee 💯💯💯💚
This was released on the "A Golden Celebration" box set in 1985... good stuff.
Elvis was the King of Rock n Roll, there cannot be a comparison to Michael Jackson, who was another musical genius in his own right. Two exceptional talents of the 20th century
wonderful!!!!!!
I always thought the version did for the Elvis Country album in 1971 was brilliant.
Here "I" am, and there I was, the 'mysterious-bass voice, singing in the background behind the 'King' at the Graceland-Mansion! Thank you very much!
241MisterCrash elvis hasn’t even purchased Graceland yet when he took this recording. Nice try though buddy.
His Dad.
OOH 😍💟💗💞🌹👍unique love et encore pour lomgtent ne se démod pas 👑👏
Love the Man
That's Elvis and his father Vernon while Elvis was stationed in Germany, circa spring 1959 - first released in 1984
Andrew Demetrius really?
Absolutely ;-) On A Golden Celebration 6 album set in 1984/5 and in 1997 when it was released as a 4CD set www.discogs.com/Elvis-Presley-A-Golden-Celebration/release/3448936 CD4 track 3. At 1.09 "Hey Daddy? Would you mind getting these kids out of the window?" adds a magic touch
Very Good!
Perché. Devo. Scrivere ignora. Se non ho. Scritto. Nulla . E,.'
Già la. Terza. Volta. Che. Succede ma. Perché ?
This sounds like it was recorded in RCA Studio B on Music Row. Just from the way the reverb cavity above the mixing room sounds and the piano tone, and there is a viewing window in that studio. The same piano is still in that studio!
Superb!
WOW!!!!
omg i jus love this! elvis u the man!!
Always Elvis!!!!
Robert Gordon did a cover of this on one of his Rock a Billy albums, he sounded like Elvis, this is a made for Elvis song!
@margaretkingable The reason they compare other entertainers such as Jackson to ELVIS is because ELVIS is the measuring stick by which other entertainers are compared and always will be.
nice. song
Wow interesting video, thank you.
This is a Real Treat My Friend and Thanks for Posting ! Thanks for the share Irene.
TCB DANNY
Thanks much!
The rawness of Elvis..Better than any Performer we have 2-this day..He never needed, smoke or dancers or fire-works..All he needed was Him-Self..He was a One Man show, and nobody comes close 2 his talent 36 yrs after he has passed..Also the best Looking Man, that other straight men had 2 C 2..Meaning Look how many men Impersonate him 4 a Living..It's A joke, there so far off..No Women Impersonates Elvis...We Women just want 2 hold & Kiss him. Getting him In A Big Huge Bear Hug, & touching him
Damn. Calm down.
nice job,El!
❤❤❤❤
Somebody is singing with him some of the time - Do any of you hear it too ? - But very cool to hear !
Here, we have it! I wrote abouth this, under Elvis studio versioin!
Elvis was Priscilla fool he loved her a couldn't let go of his love for her he loved her until the day he died.
HEY IS TALKING ABOUT HIS FIRST LOVE, HIS WIFE. THE ONLY ONE HE EVER LOVED, PRICELLA. HE NEVER LOVED ANOTHER, LIKE HE DID HER. I REALLY REALLY BELEIVE WITH ALL HIS HEART.
❤
❤ 💃 ❤
Likelbel song
yep, El on the ivories I do believe.
i looove elvis:
" hey, do you mind, getting those children out 'a here, i can't here what im doing" :D
Big fan of Elvis'
ballads. Liked the
sepia-toned thumbnail pic;
never seen a better picture of
him. Recording is
interesting history;
that's about it.
After all, it's just a
raw amateurish
home rehearsal
recording. That
froggy-throated
character added
nothing to the
session, to say
the least! Why was he even in
this? Bottom line:
like the picture
MUCH MORE than
the recording! He
looked like a god!
IT WAS CALLED THE MADONNA COMPLEX
Michael. needed A Lot of Gimicks In his shows, and a lot of other people..Elvis was A One Man Show..All he needed was him-self,,The voice told all..He was so classy & funny, filled with Charisma Charm. He inter-acted with his Audience talking 2 them, making them feel part of the show..He full respected his fans, knew they were the ones that made him famous..He had no big EGO. Hiding away from cameras. Instead he would stop and chat with them..Elvis wanted 2 B A Serious Actor, but had a bad mang
♥️🇺🇾👑
I think this was originally done around 1951 by a R &B group called the Clovers, but i like this R & B version with sort of a bit Country in it better. If that makes sense.
George J McHugh l9o
Guess it was made in his Armytime in Germany. He lived there in Bad Nauheim a small Town about 20 inutes away from Frankfurt.
It's from his movie
Dear. I adore both Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley . Michael Jackson is The King of Music, Pop and Dance. Elvis Presley is The King of Rock n Roll !! They are 2 different great persons :) They are immortal, noone can be compared to tham or to each ather :)
Search for youtube download in your favourite search engine. For Firefox, there are a few plugins which allow it. I use one that modestly calls itself BestVideoDownloader. Whether it is the best or not; I have no complaints.
I also have no connection to them so please don't think I'm shilling. It's a freebie anyway.
They meant it's rare because it's a home recording
You can see It's an earlier version
Germany....
Where can find this to download?
@AlexandreLucet See Mr. Crash241!! "I" know 'exactly' when it was recorded Check out that 'real-good Bass' in the background!! Thank you very much!!!
M.J. Only could dance, In A Discussing was always have 2 touch his Crotch...yuck & Nasty,,,NO Class,,Now Elvis always Looked Natural & he did have tons of CLASS, & charisma charm, & funny 2..PERSONALITY -Plus & always put his all into every show he did & Was the Best Looking Man I ever saw In Person 2-this day 36yrs later,,,no one comes close 2 Elvis's Talent & that fantastic VOICE.
who could only dance in a disgusting way?
We have the original 45. Sounded a bit like an Elvis imitator, but a good song.
Flott! Hugo 5*
rare, how ??
It was released 27 years ago........
Interesting, but not Sandford Clarke.
Dont think Elvis was comfortuble with this song..
+malc jow in 1970 he was
Elvis said, get them kids outta the winda, can't hear what I'm doin'....those lil basteges had no bizness messesin with the art and the music and the buzz at the time
junk
Another thing Elvis got credit for that he didn't do as usual the piano ruins it this guy is so overrated I'm sorry
Loved And Remembered Always & Forever, Forever & Always, The Man, The Music "The Legend Elvis Presley"!
Never heard this before.Truly delightful.Thank you.
"I" just have to say here that this 'little-number' is a real "gem" for me and my memories of the King and I just wanna 'thank-you-very-much' for making this 'private-home-recording-session' available for me and all the 'Elvis-fans' on the 'Tube'! Peace & Love!!!
