- The Fool - Elvis Presley - Rare home recording
Gather round me buddy, raise your glasses high
And drink to a fool, a crazy fool
Who told his baby goodbye
Too late he found he loved her so much he wants to die
So drink to a fool, a crazy fool
Who told his baby goodbye
He needs her, he needs her so
He wonders why he let her go
She's found, she's found, she's found
A new love buddy, he's a lucky guy
So drink to a fool, a crazy fool
Who told his baby goodbye
Elvis's speaking voice is as beautiful as his singing voice. Beautiful ❤️
BORN TO SING 🕺🥇♥️🎤
This was recorded in Germany in the summer of 1959. It is a home recording from Goethestrasse 14 in Bad Nauheim. Elvis really could play the piano.
What can I say my hero love elvis forever and beyond magnificent
Never heard this before.Truly delightful.Thank you.
Stunning!😻
I love this man singing everything. He just loved music. I have never heard about nobody, who liked to sing so much as Elvis did.
Elvis and boogie woogie wow, I love to hear Elvis tinkle those ivorys.
Those deep deep rich vocals, superb.
Agree about the vocals, but that's not Boogie.
I believe this song is from the rockabilly era.
I haven't got a clue!
Just recently I saw the film footage and pictures of him playing in Honolulu in 1957. It says in the description that he played MOST songs on the piano.
@@michaelmas9238 wow I'd love to see that Michael. He hits the keys hard here but he could also play them as a concert pianist would. He played many instruments all self taught I believe too.
Canzone mai ascoltata da me però adoro il modo con cui Elvis usa la sua magica voce! Bravo e particolare cantante ! BRAVO ELVIS !
❤ 🎶 "Absolutely Awesome 💃 Beloved Elvis Presley 💘 Magnificence ln Abundance. Thanks for Sharing and Enjoy A Restful Night..". 🎶 ❤
This is amazing I love to hear Elvis having fun. He could play the piano so wonderful.
Thank you so much for sharing this clip with us

wow!!! truely a rare one the conversation with his mates and his dad is amazing this one is a gem a raw and unique peice i really love this one cheers mate!!!!!!!!!!!
How does anyone dare to call Elvis a fool. I heard him in 1956 in Iceland when I was 8 years old and he changed my life. Long live Elvis and rock' and role.
Nobody is calling him a fool, it is the subtitle of the song he is singing.
"I" just have to say here that this 'little-number' is a real "gem" for me and my memories of the King and I just wanna 'thank-you-very-much' for making this 'private-home-recording-session' available for me and all the 'Elvis-fans' on the 'Tube'! Peace & Love!!!
what a great song. i just love all these rare recordings. adds a personal and human side to the music. i could listen to this all day long. beautiful.
Tudo em Elvis Presley é espetacular, inclusive, está música particular…até um espirro de Elvis pode vender milhões…
I Just. love Him 🦋.
This is AMAZZZZZZING! LOVE these old studio session tapes 😍 .
It's not a studio session tape. It was recorded in Elvis's house in Germany in April 1959.
Элвис пресли. Звезда. Легенда. Живи. Люблю. Помню. Восхищаюсь.

elvis did a great job on this song the fool!
Super recording. Thanks for sharing.✌️👑👼❤️🫶🌞
Elvis had a lot of great songs, but NO ONE did this song better than Sanford Clark!
That's put that question to bed...I thoroughly agree!! had Sanford's version on a '45' in 1958...flip side was Lonesome For A Letter...Later had Sanford's other version on his vynle album Man Of Constant Sorrow...such a great rich voice!!
There are stars and there are legends. The era of legends has passed. All we can do now is classify legends if they resemble a true legend. There are only a handful left and their days are close.
Beautiful
Pure Elvis
King forever! I miss him! Thank you so much for sharing with us!
Wonderful rare recording....just let the tape run!......Mike
Lee Hazlewood wrote"The Fool". Hazlewood gave his wife (Naomi Ford) the songwriting credit for "The Fool", because it was a time when you couldn't be a producer, manager and writer at the same time.
this is just great, i wish that there are manny more unknown and raer takes that we havent heard yet, i love every sek of it,
TCB. Jan.

do love Elvis
This is great! Such a treasure, Thanks for posting! Thanks Dear Irene for sharing with me. :))
Elvis was the King of Rock n Roll, there cannot be a comparison to Michael Jackson, who was another musical genius in his own right. Two exceptional talents of the 20th century
Sanford Clark did an earlier version of this in '56 ... I like Presley, always have... but, Clark's version is the one I remember most from that period.

I always thought the version did for the Elvis Country album in 1971 was brilliant.
superbe chansons du King elvis presley
Fantastic.
i like the studio version he did of this song especially the riff.
OOH 😍💟💗💞🌹👍unique love et encore pour lomgtent ne se démod pas 👑👏
Dankeeee 💯💯💯💚
Good one
wonderful!!!!!!
This sounds like it was recorded in RCA Studio B on Music Row. Just from the way the reverb cavity above the mixing room sounds and the piano tone, and there is a viewing window in that studio. The same piano is still in that studio!
Love the Man
Oh, how I wish I could have been present ... :o)
Superb!
Very Good!

Always Elvis!!!!

Here "I" am, and there I was, the 'mysterious-bass voice, singing in the background behind the 'King' at the Graceland-Mansion! Thank you very much!
241MisterCrash elvis hasn’t even purchased Graceland yet when he took this recording. Nice try though buddy.
His Dad.
I like it thanks.xxxxxx
omg i jus love this! elvis u the man!!
@margaretkingable The reason they compare other entertainers such as Jackson to ELVIS is because ELVIS is the measuring stick by which other entertainers are compared and always will be.
Excellent thanks for sharin.....>>>Elvis to the core ...........i agree with all ya say lolx
Wow interesting video, thank you.
Great stuff Irene, Thanks for sharing.

That's Elvis and his father Vernon while Elvis was stationed in Germany, circa spring 1959 - first released in 1984
Andrew Demetrius really?
Absolutely ;-) On A Golden Celebration 6 album set in 1984/5 and in 1997 when it was released as a 4CD set www.discogs.com/Elvis-Presley-A-Golden-Celebration/release/3448936 CD4 track 3. At 1.09 "Hey Daddy? Would you mind getting these kids out of the window?" adds a magic touch
Here, we have it! I wrote abouth this, under Elvis studio versioin!
Somebody is singing with him some of the time - Do any of you hear it too ? - But very cool to hear !
Elvis was Priscilla fool he loved her a couldn't let go of his love for her he loved her until the day he died.
@johntorrington Elvis nailed it!
Likelbel song
yep, El on the ivories I do believe.
The rawness of Elvis..Better than any Performer we have 2-this day..He never needed, smoke or dancers or fire-works..All he needed was Him-Self..He was a One Man show, and nobody comes close 2 his talent 36 yrs after he has passed..Also the best Looking Man, that other straight men had 2 C 2..Meaning Look how many men Impersonate him 4 a Living..It's A joke, there so far off..No Women Impersonates Elvis...We Women just want 2 hold & Kiss him. Getting him In A Big Huge Bear Hug, & touching him
Damn. Calm down.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
love all this behind stuff where did you find this??
I think this was originally done around 1951 by a R &B group called the Clovers, but i like this R & B version with sort of a bit Country flare in it better. If that makes sense.
❤
