@@ismokecereal1237 I don't think it's overrated at all. I think the writing is close to flawless, soundtrack and animation gets very high marks as well. You could argue the pacing is bad in the first season, that's the only thing that comes to mind as a negative. But what makes AoT stand out to me is that it takes itself seriously all the way. It's a thought out story with a wide reaching message with interesting characters and lore. Might not be everyones personal favorite but i think its rating in the anime community is warranted
My fav backstories’ players in the beginning are Natsume ( for his dad that gave him as present a basketball although the hard work) and Mokichi ( for this past and how he had all the ability to continue to play basket but decided to give up). Great opening
I would say this is one of the most realistic anime i’ve ever watched because (Spoiler) They didnt win even a single game in 1 whole season (50 episodes) But regardless this anime was really good
ahiru no sora is so litt i mean this is what i like about these kind of Anime they kind of extend something to much but they explain the whole thing with such beauty giving every character backstory this gave me mixed feelings i mean this just shows that everyone worked hard and their work shows it is so much realistic i mean you wont expect a newly formed team to breeze through all their matches
I love how they focusing on the characters not just on the basketball! Honestly i wait this much more then haikyuu s4 haha! And the enemy team is so lovely too if you think about their past they could be the main team too!! :)
I believe in the future, this anime will as popular or even more popular than haikyuu. It has so much potential to become one of the best sports anime out there.

Hell, the english scanlation is only at chapter 140 out of ~500 available. Such a shame. It's a great sport manga, the only that imo can be equal with Slam Dunk.
They don't focusing on basketball almost, too much water, only 2 practice games and now finally official game, so 3 games in 30 episodes!!! Very slow anime, I believe it will be better in the future, but now :(

Ahiru no sora will never be as good as slam dunk just because slam dunk is legendary but it's sure making a name for itself! Shit is so good, every character is interesting.. it's just WOW. As much as i love kuroko, kuroko doesn't hold a torch to the simplicity of the game and the hardwork and passion each player has. It's sheer lack of op super powered characters makes every game an anxious battle with no determined victor. God i love this show.
Who knows. If they keep going it could possibly get better. And if this season is successful, maybe they'll get more budget for future seasons. The Slam Dunk anime, although was great, never finished. There were still more manga material that could've been animated.
