Ian poked fun at religion a lot.. however you have to appreciate his songwriting skills and flute playing which by the way he is self taught! I wish i could have seen them live.
Interesting turn of conversation from Jesus to Captain America. I think it is actually apropos on the part of LD. Captain America's "weapon" of choice is a shield, which is not very offensive but actually defensive. Anyway, no related music thoughts on that topic. Good song choice. As for knowing how to pronounce names of musicians you like, I would point out that most fans pronounced Ian Anderson's name as "Jethro Tull". ;)
Really? So, you feel I must know how to properly pronounce every member's name or I am not allowed to tell my young friend how much I enjoy their music? Do you realize how elitist and asinine you sound? I am on record: I absolutely loathe fanboys whose entire worth is wrapped up in their knowledge of their favorite band. But... you do you.
Amazing song from an amazing album by an amazing band.
Definitely the golden age of Tull.

Merry Christmas!!
Same to you!
Great song, great album.
LOL--" There Will Be Flute "
If you want more flute please give Chicago's "It Better End Soon" all 4 movements a listen.
Jethro Tull - Songs From The Wood, great song, great album. Don't forget Max Webster - Beyond The Moon and also High Class In Borrowed Shoes.

My Darling Clementine, Once Upon A Time In The West, Good/Bad/Ugly/, and Fire Creek are some of my favorite westerns. I do enjoy Westworld as well.

In the hymnal at our church when I was a kid there was a song called "Onward Christian Soldiers"...WTF??
That was written by Sir Arthur Sullivan of Gilbert and Sullivan fame.
Ian also play acciustic guitar
Agreed, and he often does during shows which means he probably does when recording. Thanks! - JD
Strange spelling of acoustic mate!
for some of our viewers, English is a third language... give a little grace. - JD
Sounds like whoever wrote the book never watched John Wayne either.
The name is pronounced Bar not barry
Indeed. - JD
It's Martin Barre pronounced BAR not BARRY
I stand corrected. Thank you! - JD
There's nothing worse than those speaking about Jethro Tull ,knowing nothing about them... just saying.😅
