“He my dad, he like to eat cereal late at night and tell me to do things.” 😂😂😂
Lol, as a dad, yup checks out, typical dad shit 😅😂
I can imagine him sitting there MOUTH FULL OF Frosted FLAKES saying give me that remote 2 feet away 😂
Believe that. Love cereal at night🤣🤣
Dats da best way to describe it in my eyes. 💪🏾🙌🏾🤷🏾♂️
💯Dad facts. 😂 Cap’n Crunch peanut butter cereal (Granddad, G-dad, Bambad) here… morning, noon AND night. 😂❤️🔥
Cube and his wife seemed to have done a great job raising kids, especially within that world.
Facts
What world is that?

Yep you right
His dad made him work hard breaking down and setting up stages. I salute!
👎🏾
I work in live production and when I heard that I was impressed cause acts aren't usually involved in that they walk on and off the stage and jump into their cars. The fact that he has his kids helping out is cool.
Done that job, no easy ride man, damn!
O’Shea Jr is one of the most down the earth celebrity kids. I’ve never felt like he was in his pop’s shadow. I was just amazed at how much he looked like Ice Cube. And he has taken it farther than his pops could ever imagine. This dude is in Star Wars!! That’s a big achievement.
JR. HAS DONE AN EXCELLENT JOB AT MAKING HIS OWN WAY AND STAYING HUMBLE...HIS PARENTS DID A *PHENOMENAL* *JOB* WITH RAISING HIM AND HIS SIBLINGS *ICE* *CUBE* WILL ALWAYS GO AS FAR AS HE WANTS TO GO ....*DON'T* *EVER DOUBT HIM OR COUNT HIM* *OUT* JUST BECAUSE HE'S A MILLIONAIRE ....HE'S BASKING IN *THE FRUITS OF HIS* *LABOR*👍🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✌🏾

Star Wars mattered in the 80s
@@TheSophisticatedSavagestar wars still matters, just cuz u fell off don't mean the rest of us did. That shyt was major, and not in some tale of star wars, dude was in the Obi-Wan Kenobi backstory! That's major and def matters.
Its crazy for people to not understand that the children of famous people can also just be proud of their parents instead of feeling insecure or jealous about it
People can’t see outside their lives they speak from a wishful perspective not an actual rational perspective. It’s a perspective of if I was there but not a real perspective. Mfs out here are dumb plain and simple. We all do the same shit dummies
Jealous? I doubt its jealousy
Nepo babies for you
“Get mad; get Glad; get heavyweight trash bags” 😂😂😂
I’m stealing this saying
That saying is from old Glad trash bag commercials.
@@p.lettebcexactly.. only old people know that saying! 😂
Den Of Thieves was highly underrated 🔥🔥
Facts!! But I’m definitely going to see 2 this weekend!
Definitely wasn’t underrated lol
@@uncleroganjoe3284 it was bc most ppl haven’t seen it 😩😩
Not underrated but a cult classic like boys n the hood paid In full and the town
It was an updated take on the film “usual suspects” still a great movie
I love O’Shea as a stand alone actor. He’s very talented. Seems like a very down to earth guy who is out to create his own space. I can dig it.
Cube raise him right and now he's taking his OWN path and i believe he's gonna be a great actor
"He like to eat cereal at night and tell me to do shyte." 🤣
He was raised right
This is an evidence in everything he does you can really tell just by listening to them talk so he was really raised right ice cube did a real good job.
Facts
Welll you obviously didn't see the video where he was crying over celina Powell, trying to convince her that he didn't have another women in his hotel room while on FaceTime with her LOL. his daddy aint teach him shit. Google celina Powell and you can still find the video of him whining about her on UA-cam. Then you will rethink saying he was raised right.
Ice Cube's son explanation of legacy and sustainability building for your lineage, extremely well stated. Lol I did joke on calling him using his Pops lol
This young man has a great understanding and will go far in life 💕.
Cube and his wife for sure raised him right.
He took an L when he was crying over celina Powell, trying to convince her that he didn't have another women in his hotel room while on FaceTime with her LOL. his daddy and mama aint teach him shit. dude is an in the closet weirdo. Google celina Powell and then you will understand.
I love how balanced his viewpoint is about his dad. He realizes that he has opportunities because of his dad.
Dude has a good perspective on things. Respect and best to him! Imma check out his new movie when it comes out.
He dated Celina Powell. I dont trust him. He's an in the closet weirdo for that one.
O'shea gets even better with time.. He can be comedic and serious at the same time..Dude is a really good actor,I'm a fan of dude💪🏿💯💯💯
This is O'Shea jr though
He took an L when he was crying over celina Powell, trying to convince her that he didn't have another women in his hotel room while on FaceTime with her LOL. his daddy aint teach him shit.
Like Father Like Son 💯
He took an L when he was crying over celina Powell, trying to convince her that he didn't have another women in his hotel room while on FaceTime with her LOL. his daddy aint teach him shit.
‘Get mad get glad get heavy weight trash bags’ i agree Shaq im stealing that line too 🤣🫡
Thats ish old people were sayin that in the 90s
And I’ll take her 😂
That's from old Glad trash bag commercials
He definitely looks like his dad. He sounds reasonable and makes sense. Down to earth I like him.
Den of thieves is a great movie. The plot twist at the end was spectacular.💯🔥
MAD LUV FOR O'SHEA, SEEMS LIKE A REGULAR DUDE DESPITE GROWING UP WITH A FAMOUS PARENT & BESIDES THAT, JUST LIKE ME HE IS A BIG PRO WRESTLING FAN!!!
This is O'Shea jr though
Such a smart, aware and reflective young man who gets it.
Raised amazing..he truly gets it
He’s becoming a good actor.
He’s always been one
I’m not mad at every “nepo baby” in the wold, for me it’s about how down to earth they are. O’Shea is clearly a nice level headed dude and I wish nothing but the best for him.
Thank you
He took an L when he was crying over celina Powell, trying to convince her that he didn't have another women in his hotel room while on FaceTime with her LOL. his daddy aint teach him shit. google celina Powell and you will take back everything you said
Cube and Kim obviously have mad parenting skills to raise celebrity kids who are so grounded and not entitled. Just another reason to love cube - the guy who always looks mean but when he smiles he could melt the world.
O'Shea is VERY down to earth. Props to him for that
Cube & his wife did a great job raising Oshea Jr. ❤ Strong, smart & handsome. Thinks for himself & doesn't act entitled. I wish you just as much success as your dad & more! May God keep blessing yall! ❤🙏
They have 4 kids. They did a great job with all of them
Wow! This was very refreshing.
You made me proud young man.
This is a great perspective i'd never hesitate to claim being my fathers or my grandfathers descendant
This dude Oshea junior is awesome i hope he has lots of success
For those that don’t understand the Irish reference. A lot of black Americans have Irish ancestors because the Irish famine around the American civil war time. Basically the British starved and stole Irish land, said they owed back taxes to the British and forced Irish to leave their lands with forced indentured servitude (slavery). The difference being a piece of paper that said their slavery had an expiration date. So the black Americans and now Irish Americans worked in the fields, created families and black Americans adopted a lot of Irish culture because their ancestors are in fact Irish slaves. But I’m sure you all knew Tyrone is an Irish name right?
“Tyrone”?! Wow
As a history buff, always appreciate when others recite historical context. Knowledge of history is too important. Also like the Irish pronunciation - TUH-rone.
Nobody was wondering about that.
In 1977, Carrie Fisher landed her second movie roll when she did Star Wars. She did alright after that, but has never shied away from her parental heritage of Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. After her parents split up, her dad married Elizabeth Taylor making her Carrie’s step mom for a while. Carrie was still 19 when they filmed Star Wars and there are a ton of interviews with Harrison Ford and Mark Hammil stating that she was a confident lead character on set, mature beyond her years due to her upbringing. I see a little of that in this interview with O’Shea. He seems super grounded in both acknowledging both who he is and where he came from. I’m looking forward to seeing his career flourish. Great interview!
Very good comparison
Great way to put it! Your dads gonna definitely like hearing your growth, well spoken and very professional, way to show up for an OG O’Sean, doesn’t go in noticed and I look forward to your words to come 🤝🏾
This is true , you have to appreciate the foundation . Having a father has built that ,that's great
O’Shea is funny. Man said ‘He’s like to eat cereal at night and tell me to do stuff’ 😂. Your dad is funny lol. I like this interview lol
He summed that up so well
I think there needs to be more nepo babies whether in or outside of Hollywood. The job market is crazy!
Man I look at this and I think about 50 and his son. O’shea has a great perspective on life and forwarding your lineage.
I was waiting for that " Sidney Portier" .. i was like Say it !!! Great interview, and great guest.. love to u all
I went to school with Oshae, he was my friend for a few years. Actually down to earth kid.
Yet u can't spell his name right....😂😂😂yeah ok buddy
@RothsteinWordAlchemistWPW typo makes me a liar. Ok buddy
he dated celina Powell. dude is weird
My dad worked construction and if he told you to do something you did not want those hands. I love seeing Mr Jackson carrying on the tradition of entertainment, I enjoyed watching his father blossom and Bloom to who he is and who he has become and what he represents.
🙄sure
He’s very aware of where his dad came from and is grateful and appreciative that he didn’t come from that .
There's no shadow, only light! Get out and spread it.
I love this young man as an actor!!!
He’s got some wisdom…
I never thought he was in his Dads shadow he created a lane for himself and he’s a great actor
His Dad means a lot to a lot of people. His music single handedly grew me up. Between him and Chuck D, I knew what time it really was/is. Grateful to have come up during that time in hiphop and will always ride for Cube.
O’Shea is a cool dude
He is a good mixture of mom and dad..... Some people think he's cubes twin, but I think he looks a lot like mom.
That is one grounded and humble mf!!!! One love son!
I hope O’shea & Gerard can come back and do a part 3 🖤🖤💯
“Theres a lot of black people with Irish names!🤔🧐”
Buddy… wait til you find out how they got those names😂
That's some real ish. I would love to be the man my dad was and none of my friends would say that I shouldn't be like him. My dad is a great man.
Facts O’Shea knows what his pops done for the fam is legendary.
Didn’t know until I heard him speak from here and then researched him in other interviews that I am a fan on and off the screen. As a celebrity child he seems REALLY down to earth
Don't know cube like that. A waitress friend of mine who worked@PF Chang's in Stamford ct said he was kind and generous.
How awesome is your life that your dad is so great that he gets a movie and you look and sound enough like him that you get to play him in it. You get an inside look at how he really got down. Which propels your acting career which is pretty good
I was in 2nd grade when he was in 5th or 6th grade in the same school, i remember at times crowds would surround them before class started in the morning
I love O'Shea and never felt he was in his dad's shadow. He is so humble and down to earth, but he is funny as hell. But I love seeing celebrity kids doing their own thing. You can't get mad that their parents open doors for them to build on.
Black person with an Irish name reporting here...
Kellon McFarlin 😎💪🏽
Me too!!! Scots-Irish
@@BradyJoelGibsonya family from the South East then...
He Gohan lol son of ice cube! Whole family seems like great people 👍❤
Ice Cube scares me but seems like a nice person if you know him. I definitely respect him and his music.
Good interview ❣️🌹❣️💯
My sister was a teacher's aid at his school back in the day. Its funny because when he was getting dropped off at school, Cube pulled up next to my sis. She looking over checking out his rims, then she look up to see it was Cube, but he was admiring HER rims. Lol
My favorite movie. Man i was tell8ng everybody about Den of theives
Dude spitting fire!!!
HELL YEAH that’s a Badge of HONOR! The first dude to walk the earth in the past 50 yrs homie!
Be PROUD Shasta In proud to have experienced his work all my life! He basically my surroundings hate daddy in my teens lol. Not such a great turnout but either way biggest fan ever lol
That's solid and Love!
It took him to be on tour in Australia to realize how cool his dad was
yes. that's what he said kiddo
Your parents are what you’re used to. Sometimes you need other ppl to show you what you’re so used to seeing that you now miss
Lol good ish
Probably him maturing at 18 also
Some time kids see it early sometime kids see it later.
I got to see it from my mom when we used to live in ontario housing, but all the kids from the rich communities were friends with my friends. And all the teenage girls who were pregnet used to come counsel with my mom. All the boys that got kicked out of their house came and stayed with house. This was a single mother 4 kids.
What a great perspective to have.
This is so refreshing to see someone’s famous child embrace the fact that their parent is famous. Cause let me tell you I wouldn’t give a damn. Yup that’s my momma. Fun fact I went to a concert in 1993 in chicago and took a picture with Ice Cube and Snoop . He was pretty cool, seeing as though I was dressed in a sweater that looked like beetle juice costume 🤷🏾♀️ I was 16 years old.
My dad favorite is corn flakes 😂 and don’t forget calling you to pick up the remote for him when he his 2 inches from it 😂 Love my dad
My dad doesn’t cast a shadow. He’s the light I follow.
Great interview !!
The gambling ad the whole clip is crazy
Good job! You know he's a good actor if he shouts out. Sydney Poitier he was one of the best black actors in the world back in his day just the way he talked❤
I've been watching these oshay clips and I have a new found respect for him. If you going to be a nepo baby you gotta be humble 😂 dude was all the way real
I agree there’s nothing wrong with coming from money just appreciating and not taking it for granted
He’s funny as hell absolutely love watching him
It’s not just being a celebrity son it’s also carrying the same name I’m 4th generation with the name and have no son so I understand there’s a mystique about the prestige of being an individual with the honor of given the name of your father as well as the responsibility of improving the name and not embarrassing the name
He sounds like Baron Davis
Spot on ctfu
I guess it’s the Cali roots. 😂😂😂
Especially when you’re driving.
Because they’re from Los Angeles, and that’s their accent
Cali boyz lol 😂
Dan Marino looking good!
Bronny James needs to hear this entire interview. Oshae Jr has a very wise perspective.
I rock with O’Shea !!!
I never felt O'Shea was in pops shadow. He out here workin❤
This dude and Stephen A's nephew put such a positive and fun spin on the nepo shit.
And he is absolutely right, any raggedy ass town has the "rich" folk that are full of nepo babies from the tire shops to construction to logging to literally every business.
Luv that dude O'Shea Jr.!
O’Shea ate Cube 😳😳😳
...I just don't know your dad's name.... Was the realest way to put this "living in the shadow of" thing to rest.
Way to go Ice Cubes son!
Junior looks like his mom to me. He's a hell of an actor too.
Respect
He looks like both of his parents. They raised a young man with morals and values. He never comes off as disrespectful or I’m Cube’s son. I can’t wait to see where his career goes.
Well said!
I even saw the lights of the Goodyear blimp, and it said ....
(Don't leave me hangin)
I usually have a general disdain for nepo kids but he seem like a genuinely down to earth good dude. Unlike many others that grew up with famous parents. I feel like Ice cube raised his kids different than say will smith. I don’t know but I’m just saying it seems that way. Good job Cube!
“They only want to let me in because I’m Shaq’s son” sounds like he was raised right and values himself over his status. Signs of great parenting.
The first den of thieves was 🔥 from start to finish and the 2nd finished dope so im looking forward to the trilogy now
He didn't realize how cool my dad was until 18. That's wild but dope 🤣💯
It’s good to see him embrace the name instead of complaining about how his dad doesn’t do anything like that
Who is your dad? THAT’S A BIG FLEX. Love it
his dad aint teach him shit. He took an L when he was crying over celina Powell, trying to convince her that he didn't have another women in his hotel room while on FaceTime with her LOL. his daddy aint teach him shit.
Definitely ice cube son, ur mind is right bro so proud of you
“I didn’t realize he was cool until I was 18” proceeds to tell a story on tour in Australia 🤣
