I don’t usually comment on videos of builds, but man there’s just something about this beauty and the way you talk about in detail! Just wow! 👌🏼
Appreciate that! I'm glad you made an exception. Thank you!!
Make sure you check out the Bobber build I'm working on.
Ikr I'm kinda digging this thick black beauty myself. She's sweet, and good job there bro I'm impressed ✌
@@cgj121965 thanks! She really sticks to the ground. Like a rocket ship on rails.
Beautiful build!
I just love seeing old Gold Wings that have been redesigned into something else, and this is a beautiful example.
Thank you very much!
@@akaSuperJimmy You are so welcome!
There's an 82 for 500 bucks near me and I'm so tempted
Awesome!! Just picked an 86 gl 1200 interstate. Love the wing cafe racers
Nice!! I hope you love it as much as I do.
I've got an 89 super magna that I was thinking of scramblerizing down the road and this video popped up in my feed. I'm so glad it did too, this thing looks so damn nice! Even the weird discolored heat wrap somehow works on it somehow. I can hardly believe that's a Goldwing, beautiful work man.
Awesome build. Very nice!
Thanks! I'm glad you like it!
Hey Jimmy! That's a great build. The men in my family grew up riding gold wings. I love to see people keeping these old machines running with new and fresh ideas. Keep up the good work!
Heck ya man! There awesome!
Make sure to check out my bobber project!
@@akaSuperJimmy All you have to do is change oil & filter at regular intervals and these old 1100's will run forever! I have 214,000 miles on my 82 GL1100 and one of my riding partners has over 280,000 on his 83 GL1100 and has ridden it in every State in the US, excluding Hawaii but including Alaska!
@@ThePadutch Absolutely! They'll run forever if you take care of it!!
Nice ride. You did a great job.
Thanks man!
Nice bike well done!
Thanks man!
Holy Cow! What a beautiful job! Well done, my man, well done!
Thanks man!!!
Wow you outdone yourself man this wing is clean & done very well.
Thanks a lot!!
I am buying an 1983 today, had a1976 decades ago.bobber what a ride, hope the 1983 will be its equal at least
dude that's Awesome! i hope you love it as much as i love mine.
Love what you built. Very well done. I have a stock 78 GL1000. Tempting to turn it into something unique. Ride safe!
I had no idea people did cafe builds on Goldwings, this is going to be my next project! Amazing bike!
It's definitely not something you see everyday. THANKS!!
Amen, Brutha: I rebuilt my '81 GL1100 so that old fellers told me they hadn't seen one of these since the war. I love the old wings! Good work!
Amazing sound on that bike! Perfect sound!
I have a '78 to build this winter. Nice job
Man I love those 70s bikes. I'd love to Cafe one. Good luck!! Hit me up if you have any questions!!
Your kool cafe project goldwing and informative discrimination has earned you a subscription from this cafe nut 🥜. Great build with great mods.!!! 👍👍👍
THANKS!!
Beautiful Scooter. I am planning a hot rodded GL1200. I have a pair of dual throat down draft weber carbs. I will not do a cafe racer though. More upright comfort for these old bones. Something that will fly through the twisties but will also do the freeway slabs all day long. No fairing or trunk either. Something that looks cool and sounds like an Indy car. Peace.
hey thanks man. I'm glad you like the bike!
sounds like you have a good idea for your own. if you have any questions let me know. You should check out my newest build! Sounds like it'll be more up your ally. ua-cam.com/play/PLNQIKenqjh4NLqiFdeE5JIsto8_I_Phd5.html
Its me again just letting you know you inspired us to do a Goldwing cafe project, my son purchased the bike a couple of weeks ago and we are planning and getting busy with build. Thanks again for your great video, its been very helpful with parts and mods needed.
Hey that's awesome! That's exactly why I make these videos.
I have never been a fan of the cafe racer craze but your build is on another level. I’m old and currently am/was restoring an 82 wing. This build has me leaning towards dumping the plastics then possibly adding a small batwing fairing. Once again, your build is absolutely stunning, fantastic workmanship and everything blends perfectly with the flat 4 wing engine.
Well done and thank you for sharing. So many good idea. Definitely stealing the led panel blinkers. What a great idea
Thanks! That's why I've been doing these videos, hopefully I can give some ideas and inspire.
I have a 1983 Aspencade and sir you did as awesome job on that bike. And it sounds great.
Thanks!
As good as it gets. A work of art and labor of love. Amazing.
Wow, thank you!
Gotta be the nicest GL I've seen yet. I will takes notes from this one. Great job.
Thanks man! Let me know if you have any questions.
@@akaSuperJimmy do you happen to have a link to that rear seat. Can't seem to find it.
Sorry man, they seem to of gone out of business.
@@akaSuperJimmy I appreciate the reply. I'll send you a photo soon as I'm done with mine.
Fantastic build! The work that went into this is top notch!
Thanks so much!
Extraordinary build sir! I've got an '83 gold wing - formerly the Aspencade variant - full dresser...ugly AF maroon/brownish whatever.
Last fall I finished a cafe build of a '78 Yamaha XS400 that I'm really proud of... this goldwing is next - gonna be a full restoration down to the frame. It's a bit of a tribute build for my big brother "Moose" who was killed in a motorcycle accident 8yrs ago. This was his first bike that he bought from a family friend then sold to a different family friend when he bought the Harley that he lost his life on (typical story of an elderly lady who didn't see or hear him).
That family who bought it from my brother eventually bought a much newer goldwing and, knowing my connection to this bike, asked me if I wanted it and signed over the title to me (honestly didn't have much sale value anyway as it was (and still is) in rough shape. Wish me luck...gonna be a lot of work!
Cheers,
- Jens
wow. i hope your project goes well. hit me up if you have any questions.
Sorry to hear about your brother but that's really nice that they gave you his 1st bike back.
@@Long-nd8bq thank you!
Wow, such a great job. I love the way you integrated everything properly and nothing looks like its just stuck on. Everything goes really well with each other and the coloring looks just awesome. Some great tricks that I might use on future projects with the clear on certain parts or over stickers.
Thanks!! That means a lot! I put a lot of love, heart and thaught into this bike!
I'm working on a hard tail project now. I'll be posting a "half way" video soon.
Check out my Instagram acount for more frequent updates. superjimmy41. THANKS!!!
really makes me want to fix up the '81 I'm in the process of buying, nice walk-around!
Thanks!!
Great job! I'm doing a project with a 1200 now and this is giving me inspiration. Thank you!
Thanks! Glad I could help. Good luck with the 1200! If you have any questions feel free to message me.
Great job on this build! Lots of inspiration for us @ home. Thx!
Awesome! Thank you!
Great build and beautiful looking bike. Job well done.
Thanks so much!
You definitely need to check out my channel. I have a bobber project going now.
@@akaSuperJimmy I am going to check it out. I have started working on 1979 cb750 dohc. trying to convert it to a cafe.
@@kaa5666 Good luck brother! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Look me up on Instagram too. 😁
@@akaSuperJimmy thank you so much bro.
Spectacular customization! Not what you would expect to see someone do to a touring bike but that adds to the vision while most take a sportier bike and make them into a bobber or chopper not the other way around so my hat's off to you sir an amazing transformation.
Couldn't agree more! Its definitely one of a kind. i wanted to to something out of the ordinary. Thanks!!!!
Gorgeous build . If I didn't know I would have said it started out as a BMW with 2 cylinders added
just found this very well done !
Damn that turned out nice!
Thanks!
Damn nice build man!
Legendary reliability on a cafe racer... this has to be it. Absolutely fabulous.
Amazing bike, great job on the build!
Thanks!
Very nicely done. You can't beat these old GL for customizing, but yours is one of the nicer ones I've seen.
Wow, thanks!
I like what u did I have a 81 goldwing love it the ride is amazing
Excellent job....That's a beautiful bike...
Thank you very much! I'm glad you like it!
That was the first bike I ever had. They are amazing. You did an incredible job my bro. I wish I still had mine. Watching this made me want to go get another. They are SO MUCH fun!!
Heck ya they are! Thanks!!
That is an AMAZING build! Great job.
Thanks!
Good audio and video direction
Edit: and of course great build sharp accents.
Much appreciated! I'm definitely no expert but I'm learning this video stuff.
Love it. We’ll done! Thanks for sharing :)
This is a great good looking lady.... GREAT Job!!! Congrats!!!
I love that you kept the trade mark Dunlop 491 raised white letter tires that were standard issue on the GL 1100's. Great job very classy!
Thanks! 👍
I dig it man very cool. I'm thinkin that I want to start a build of my own. Thanks for sharing
Go for it!
Such a nice job. I'm looking at getting ahold of a '79 GL1000 with something like this in mind.
Amazing video and great walkthrough!
Thanks so much! Make sure to share it with your friends!
Beautiful job ! Not so keen on the exhaust. I like a smoother Honda sound, but,... it's your bike, and you have made a lovely job of it !
Thank you very much! To each his own as they say!
Nice build!
You sir are an artist! Great looking bike. I'm in the process of redoing a goldwing myself
Thanks! I hope you have fun on yours!
Excellent job!
man that sound good as hell i like what you have done
Thanks man!
Nice Job! Love the look! Clean, stylish and well proportioned
Thanks! That was the goal.
Nice work. Love the detail What a craft! 😍
Thanks so much!
Impressive skills Mr Jimmy!!
I have a 1983 GW GL1100... Thanks to you, now I have a pattern to follow.
IMPRESSIVE BIKE!!
The Force is strong with you brother!!
Happy Riding!!
LOL Thanks man! If you have any questions make sure to look me up on Instagram and direct message me. *May the force be with you!
I had two 1983's i made into cafe/rat/bobbers. 1983 is the very best year of the goldwing for this, before 1983 they came with cheap looking comstar wheels and the year after they changed the tank and after that starting in 1985 everything was molded and couldn't be removed without looking very trashy.
I know right! I'm buying 83 wheels to go on my 80 bobber. They're just so much better!!
@@akaSuperJimmy nice, I had two 1983’s and a 1979.
Great job on this bike, I’ve always liked the naked goldwings for some reason, so I finally got one I drove 7 hours to pick up a 1980 GL1100 fully dressed for $500 and man is it in rough condition but I have nothing but time so I started to stripping it down going threw the carbs now and can’t wait to start on the looks, hope you don’t mind if I take some things from your build but you did such a nice job
Thanks!! That's why I make these videos, to hopefully inspire others and help anyway I can! Good lock!
Really nice bike mate, very tasteful and very tidy work, sounds great too. An inspiration to us all! 🤩
Thanks for the kind words!
Awesome sound!
That is one sweet bike you built
Thanks man!
A fantastic and very tasteful job. That boxer engine looks great on a cafe style bike rather than hidden behind fairing. I have been looking at all of the Goldwing conversions and I think this is the nicest I have seen. The only shame for me about this bike is I can’t just walk in somewhere and buy it because I would in a heartbeat.
WOW man, thanks!! I put a lot of thought into this one.
Awesome build
Thanks!
Beautiful bike and well done!!
Thank you!
I hate flooding the comment section but you did a really good job on this bike man. I'm 37 and I'm done with the wheelies and knee dragging. Just wish I could take phones out of everyone's hand so when I'm done with my build we can all be much more safe out here
Hey don't worry about it, I love talking to people. I just wanted something unique you know. And, yes to many playing with phones and not enough driving out there.
@@akaSuperJimmy Unique is right. I love my 83 Goldwing
@@OzcarMike641 thanks man!!
great job with detailed info.
I just picked up what I suspect is a Bobbed Goldwing for the awesome price of 100$ from a storage locker auction. So am now thinking of a restoration project myself... so look forward to watching your videos and picking your brain as I begin this long process.....
Dude, yes, what a steal! Dose it run? Yes dude, hit me up on Instagram for more quick response to questions. And I can also send you pictures if you have questions.
Beautiful! A really well thought out and executed build, especially the fine detailing on paint, powder coating, etc. I just picked up a near mint '78 GL1000... I'll leave it stock because it's in such good shape , but I love the look of the old 1000 and 1100's as bobber or cafe style bikes. Excellent video too btw... very enjoyable to watch👍
WOW, thanks for the love! A lot of love and time went into this beast. Man I would love to get ahold of a 70s, there so cool with the spoke wheels and the gauges in the "tank".
If you like GL bobber products, you should definitely check out my newest project ua-cam.com/video/x_DkMJT6cs8/v-deo.html
Thanks!!
amazing video! beautiful bike.
Thanks!
The bike looks great nice job
Thanks so much!
Great video bro! Bike is a knockout! Just picked up an 83 interstate, cant wait to get started.
Thanks man! Good luck with your build!
Awesome job
Killer build brother. Just picked up my very first bike, a 1982 Honda Gl1100. Your build is definitely an inspiration for what I plan to do with it. Love that midnight rider look you have going. Would love to see more vids of you riding it around!
That's awesome! I hope your able to make something sweet!
i just got a 82 gl 1100 thats mint! love a goldwing... also gonna scamble mine but prob not till next winter
Beautiful. 👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you! 😊
Wow. Nice work for having good done it all yurself. Excellent detailing you did to make the look last looking like new. Very well done. Top marks if I were a judge
Wow, thanks!
Awesome! I have done something similar. Love what you did here.
Thanks man!
Solid build dude. Great job on the video as well.
Appreciate it!
Epic build!
Thanks!
Wow what a cool bike!!!
My man this is something like i wanna donto my 83 goldwing gl1100, i just got it this weekend!
Dude that's awesome! Get after it. You wont regret it.
Thing looks so good man. I just got a cheap gl1100 with clip ons and those bars look 100x better. Well done
thanks man i love m
in love with this bike great job puts my 1100 to shame
Amazing bike, that’s a big girl right there! Buying one this Friday and planning on doing the same, stock paint but going to shed all the bags and shit
Dude! Heck ya! There rocket ships with all that crap off there. Good luck brother!
Awesome detail.
Thanks!!
Reallly nice build.
Thanks!
Amazing work!!!
Thank you!
Nice build and video. Just starting on a 1978 GL1000 myself and I appreciate the insights you shared. My exhaust is factory and in bad shape. I'm gonna borrow some ideas from what you did.... love the sound and looks of that V and H exhaust. Great job bro!
Thanks! Hit me up on Instagram if you have any questions. Good luck!
Love this Goldwing build. Just picked up an 1981 GL1100 this past week. Starting with small things first. Handlebars grips and mirrors to get rid of that older dated look. With the new bars did you have to get any risers for the handle bars to fit in there well? Picked up some similar bars off Amazon and fits but won’t go that far forward likes yours down do.
Beautiful bro
FREAKING LOVE IT! Now, put a black stone guard on the headlight.
Thanks man. Don't know if that would fit the over all look.
GORGEOUS bike.
Thanks!!
It sounds good i like the build
Excellent bike and video. I been wanting to do a goldwing cafe for a couple years now, just haven't had the money to buy a bike. A couple weeks ago a 1983 honda shadow presented itself to me for $300 so I will practice on that until I find my goldwing... you should build a few more to sell for the people out there that can't build their own. Keep up the good work!
hey thanks! That's not a bad idea! i wonder if there's a good market for that? good luck with the shadow. there great biks and have a lot of power.
i hope you find "the one" goldwing LOL. Hit me up if you have any questions.
Stunning 😯
Thanks!!
Hey dude. Love the bike and the channel. New sub
Well done dude!
You did a Great job, nice looking bike.
Hey Jimmy from another Jimmy. I love, love your ride. Being old school (78 years old is old school, hey?) I would give anything to ride this down the Parkway. Great job!
Right on! thanks! Its a rocket for sure! You would love it!!
Slick looking bike sir.
Thanks brother!
