If the water is dripping onto the z3 seats, it could be dripping from where the top meets the a-pillar. There are rubber plugs at the top corners of the windshield and if you seal them with some silicone (I used black so it's not really noticeable) it might help. Water couldddd also make its way to the seats from where the rear weather stripping ends by each door. I've also heard people put little shims in the stripping over the windows, and gummi pflege helps too. Just a couple of suggestions to try unless it's obvious the top itself is leaking.
If it is just seeping through the roof itself, then you might just need to reproof it with one of those cleaning and waterproofing kits. AutoGlym do a pretty good kit.

Regularly watching your podcasts somewhere in the north of Portugal, in my garage, in front of my half dismantled 94 fiat punto restoration project which I inherited from my grandfather. More of a sentimental value to the car than the actual pre-classic value of it once, although it is a rare spec, it still is just a 1.2 old punto with 325k km on the clock. My E46 was an overnighter when I last let a dealer touch it (although they broke it), was because the valve shims had to be checked when cold so they let it sit overnight, the courtesy car I got beats the Mini, it was a 218d Active Touring auto with the Full M sport pack, purely because they took it as needing a massive car when I asked for a car with reasonable leg room due to being a big guy. Gareth has the best suggestion, growing up with a Dax Cobra in my life (my dads) and having learned everything I now know from rebuilding it with my dad I can say it’s the best suggestion. Also there’s one for everyone’s budget. From old steel chassis’ and Sierra donor cars to the more modern space frame chassis and jag running gear and from RV8’s up to LS3’s they’re a great car which draw attention everywhere you go. Also if you want to avoid a fibreglass body ‘Alex’ take a look at DB Replicas. David’s design is as close to original as can be without the million pound price tag.

My admission of dumbness:- Once during the 90s I had spent days carefully installing some 'ICE' in my car carefully soldering all the wires creating a loom from the head unit, graphic equalizer and amp, one of these was going to live in my glove box, the last step was to create a hole from the side of my glove box to the center console/dash. As I drilled, the drill bit took a while to get through the glovebox but went straight through the dash and into the carefully crafted loom, grabbed the loom and ripped the lot to shreds.

It wasnt this podcast but a few podcasts ago i was listening while driving a Land Rover Discovery 5 from St Albans to Portsmouth for work. I also listened to one on the ferry to the isle of wight.
My dumbest car "fixing" moment happened with a friends problematic Octavia. I can't remember how exactly it transpired (dodgy central locking?) but basically he ended up accidentally locking both of our sets of keys inside his car with the engine running outside of my garage while overheating due to a severe radiator leak and partially blocking the road. If I'd had my keys this would have been fine as we could have gone in and grabbed a nice plastic wedge and mallet to pry the top of the door open with and a long handled grabber to turn the car off and extract the keys in less than 5 mins with minimal stress/damage. Things were already looking bad as the light was rapidly fading when the heavens opened and it started shitting it down. Cue panicked searching of local bins for anything we could find to do the job while directing angry traffic to turn around if they were too big to fit through (basically anything bigger than a 106). We eventually chanced upon an off-cut bit of timber that was sort of a wedge shape, a brick to use as a hammer and a bit of steel re-bar with which to reach into the car. After a brief attempt to get the wedge in the top of the door it quickly became obvious that it was too fat so I went back on the search for something thinner to get the job started and found a crusty, rusted screwdriver which you'd never want to put near your paintwork in a million years but desperate times called for desperate measures. After committing some heinous crimes against paintwork we managed to pry the door frame open just enough to get the wedge in and so my friend started hammering it home. I saw a car coming towards us so walked over to tell them to turn around when the flashing lights came on and two angry policemen piled out and started yelling at us to step away from the car and lie on the ground. So we got on the soaking wet floor and started hurriedly trying to explain the situation while watching the car pissing steam and overheating as the last of the coolant drained out. Eventually after being put in the back seat while the details were checked they decided that we probably weren't trying to steal the car and went on their way without so much as offering to help. Now cold, piss wet through and covered in dirt from the road we managed to finish banging the wedge in and used the re-bar to reach inside and poke the central locking release on the key fob before finally opening the door and turning off the unhappy sounding engine. We popped the bonnet with the traditional scalding of fingers from the steam and let it billow out before pushing the car back up a small hill into a better spot where we could let it cool down. We eventually found the leak which was clearly too big to patch so just temporarily plugged it and filled it with water so it would last the 10 minute driver back to his house where he could keep it until he got a new radiator. Unfortunately the next day when he went to turn it over it sounded awful and wouldn't fire, the oil was basically yoghurt and it soon became obvious that the overheating had either warped and/or cracked the block and it was destined for one final trip to the scrap heap. In hindsight we probably should have just smashed the window but he didn't want to pay for a new one and I didn't want broken glass all over the road behind my garage. If we hadn't wasted 10-15 minutes with the police we probably could have done it in time to stop too much damage but with the amount of times that car had been to pieces I doubt it would have lasted another 6 months anyway.
Great video. But the Tuscan isn’t a V8. It was a straight six. Cerbera used the TVR V8 which was an off-shoot of the Rover V8 used in the Griff and Chimera.. still a good shout., but not a V8.. go for a Chimera 5.0 and get the Wildcat conversion..
This was such a funny video, I love the spontaneity, its like having banter in the living room with your mates, guys keep up the good work. P.S. Alex's Scottish accent had me in tears with laughter.
Honestly, I do firmly believe every car driver should have to do a CBT. It's eye opening. But it has to be done by a good teacher. I got lucky with mine. When I asked my mate about things he covered on his CBT, it was criminal how little they covered.
I once had the back of my car in the air (On jack stands, front wheels chocked etc) and I went to start it to check I did my exhaust properly and... It was still in gear. Never shat myself so hard in all my life

hey guys, regarding Gareth talking about not going to mechanic, would you think about starting series on how to fix your engine? Like I mean really thorough one taking all usual engines into account, for example how would I detect what's wrong with my mk3 mondeo tdci
I am trying to pick out the stupidest thing I ever did when trying to repair something. It has to be trying to bump start a well tuned enduro bike, which is basically a road legal off road racing bike. I was running along side, jumped on, dumped the clutch and as it sparked up, the front wheel flew up, deposited me on my rrrrs and proceeded to wheelie across a car park, Fortunately nobody was hurt and only my vehicle and pride were injured!
Dont know about being fixated on the task at hand. It wasnt until I decied to change a decat manifold in an amber warning storm, by then 4th hour, the water level was splashing over me. Needless to say I was fu*king soaked through. I then decided that maybe a garage for certain things isnt a bad idea
on the topic of dealerships being nice, last year i was driving my 2005 116i on the motorway and the runflat indicator came on. I was near stevenage and so i pulled off and went straight to a BMW dealer/workshop. I took the keys in, and i expected them to sit me in the corner on my own, but they actually took great care of me, offered me coffee and food etc, took the car round back, found that a bit of corrosion had just broke the seal on the valve. So they cleaned up ALL the wheels and replaced ALL the valves, completely free of charge. When i asked why they were so nice (considering the car is old and worth very little), the guy just turned me around and pointed at a guy standing by the window and said "because hes just blown the head gasket in his X5" and we both laughed (because the cost on mine was so insignificant they might as well do it for free and get the next guy in faster). You can knock bmw but their customer service is outstanding.

This channel just gets better and better, especially the podcasts and especially in the lockdowns. Thank you for the lolz in these times. Love from Spain.
Get some good goretex textiles for the bike. I commute in all weather and the cold and rain is my favourite. If you're wearing the right stuff its like being sat in your favourite chair all cosy watching the rain outside
Listening whilst ceramic coating some wheels for a customer 🤘🔥
I've restored 3 cars and done countless jobs for mates, a Z3 roof replacement is the only job that's ever defeated me
It wasnt this podcast but a few podcasts ago i was listening while driving a Land Rover Discovery 5 from St Albans to Portsmouth for work.
Cerbera used the TVR V8 which was an off-shoot of the Rover V8 used in the Griff and Chimera.. still a good shout., but not a V8.. go for a Chimera 5.0 and get the Wildcat conversion..
can i just say? these guys are just absolutely awesome. no knob heads, all seem to be down to earth. can watch them for hours! as i am currently
This was such a funny video, I love the spontaneity, its like having banter in the living room with your mates, guys keep up the good work. P.S. Alex's Scottish accent had me in tears with laughter.
1:00:14 - Nailed the accent, also great podcast keep it up guys :)
Listening while driving my truck, cant wait for the weekend!! (got BC’s and some BBS to fit)
9:13 that's actually not bad genuine BM parts and labor. My local Merc dealer £168 per hour just for labor.......... 😪😪

I’m watching from my home which is a small transit van as I’m a van dweller peace and love guys
The TVR Tuscan you showed has a straight 6, not a V8. Or have they Made it with a V8 aswell? Awesome car nevertheless
No, it is a straight 6. It does kinda sound like a V8 though so it can be deceiving.
Not the modern one, there were three different size inline sixes. The original one from the 60s had a V8 variant.
Listening while school classes, literally I have nothing better to do... Keep it up, guys!!
42:56 That's why you carry rocks in your doorcard, nothing gets you moving like a rock through your back window
💯%. It's a must for Ethan and Jack to do their CBT. It would make fantastic viewing😆. Please please 🙏. 🙏.
Never shat myself so hard in all my life
I’ve listed to all the episodes up to this one, and this is the first time I’ve felt the need to watch the video for the bit about them eating the garlic cloves lol
The Wera calendars are pretty good, I have gotten the last three ones, and use them all often.
CBT in December sound like a load of fun, DO IT!

I'm crying with laughter watching you two exacting that garlic fucking love this show.
Normally I listen on a long driving journey, but right now listening while doing massive amount washing up.
These four are by far the best looking men on UA-cam
hey guys, regarding Gareth talking about not going to mechanic, would you think about starting series on how to fix your engine?
@Seamus McShamish 100%. Tbf it was about 7pm and I'm guessing the guys manager had gone home or something but honestly the best and funniest garage experience of my life
TVR Tuscan has a straight 6 engine - Unless you mean the late 60s/early 70s Tuscan V8.
Love the podcast!
I Love coming Home and seeing a new podcast
Top fun as usual - afraid to say boys Gareth's dry wit is the best at the moment - he is so funny
Watching while taking a 💩
Same here although not an hour long
@gnorweb you havent had a good shit unless you are there for an hour
Listening in the Netherlands while studying process engineering in my office room at home. Also sometimes in the factory where I work while lunch break
Love watching this knowing that Gareth is using his work laptop 👀
Listening while waiting for my MOT to be done on my RX-8 which i got because of the living with a rotary series! Absolutely love it :D

Listening while wrenching away on heavy equipment, the last podcast I had on while replacing the cab on a mid-sized excavator.
Watching in Norfolk, UK as i cook dinner. Im debating replacing the gear box in my Rover 25 as it slips out of or wont go into 1st gear sometimes (not me personally doing it as i have an Ethan level of car knowledge. Cheers for another great pod cast.
Ethan needs to do some Autocross events in the Z3 with the traction control off. Let him spin out until he gets a feel for the car.
Do you want some water mate, asks, and proceeds sipping the same 😆
Listening to CT whilst changing a broken driveshaft on a mk5 golf.. Jack.
Funny how at 35:30 jack's talking about breaking a bolt in a e36 hub, and that's what has just happened on ethans z3 lol
Listening from inside a freezer as always. Makes working in here a lot more bearable!
@Matthew Allcock Maybe I could've worded that a bit better 😄 I work inside an industrial freezer just to be clear
Worst selling decision ever was selling a 1989 911 Supersport (one of only 237) in 2002 for £15K. They are now £120K. I still cry about that everyday :(
Bit of a con with the Advent Calendar, as the price on the website doesn't include VAT until you get to the checkout. So, even with the discount it's cheaper elsewhere.
What about the Maserati Gransport Coupe 4.2V8 - cracking engine and value for money (if it's got a full SH as otherwise could be ruinous!)
44:41 Ethan: "be a maverick."
You guys should try driving in Italy, here people will REVERSE to get back to a missed turning. I am talking about on main roads, roundabouts, and MOTORWAYS!
Absolutely get them on a CBT. Get Ethan out as a pillion, ideally with Gareth on track, try make him cry.
Yes I would love to see them do their CBT i reckon they will love it.
