I always understood it. Top Gear was pushing further all of the time and at some point someone was going to break.
Originally when the announcement come out I thought it was a publicity stunt as they were losing ratings in later series, but I wasn't surprised to be wrong.
@@KermitFrogThe Well, that... And when the fracas happened Clarkson was also going through divorce AND he'd recently lost his mother. Not saying he's not to blame for what happened but it's no suprise for someone in a bad time like that eventually snaps and does something stupid either.

In Easter Europe the saxo with MTs is a real crawler (it goes anywhere), the focus ia a chicken coop (after you sell interior, gearbox, motor and the rest for better money than purchase), the g4 is the jewel: you take it to Greece for holiday (you sleep in it), to Germany with a trailer to bring back further money makers, etc

Watching this mini-series goes to show how much the BBC f**ked us over with the TV license - CT can make this quality material for a few grand, whereas thousands and thousands would have been spent on one episode of Top Gear!

Personally, feel this video kills the 1st two videos! Just shows you are puppets controlled by production (company?) Like telling you to steal items, so stuff.. The things that look fun and honest in the main videos. This now makes me look at future video's, and even past video's. Sad times.
No different to how Top Gear/Grand Tour is filmed. Best is to not watch behind the scenes if it spoils it.
@@44Needles correct, but from watching 3 guys sitting in a lounge discussing cars.. to this is a big jump. Guess if like to think they are doing all this but still at the point of sitting in the lounge.. the killer for me is that they are doing what's been suggested rather than being told to do it.
@@dast_uk I get that but I suppose it's organic growth in a way. There's a lot that wouldn't happen if it was just 3 lads on a road trip. Wouldn't get a lot of the exterior shots, lots of stuff needs setting up and the pranks probably need nudging (although I'll admit it does feel like it's a bit of a stolen idea, and the buying one of the guys a silly present) as if it was just general Yom foolery it wouldn't happen as often or on camera as they're probably tired from driving
