Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 чер 2024
- In this very brief lesson, I am showing you some licks from perhaps my favourite guitarist ever, Satchel from Steel Panther. There are so many licks I could have put in here but there are times to leave the viewers hungry for more. The whole purpose of this lesson is to showcase licks that build your musicality as well as your technique.

A steel panther lesson and you managed to say the phrase 'go down on the G string'! Satchel would be proud
I didn't even notice.
This video made me listen to some steel panther on Spotify. I’ve heard of them but never have been bothered to really listen, these licks changed my mind
That band is so much fun. Those guys are super talented and very funny. Really appreciate what they do.
Satchel is also my favorite. I’ve taken a couple lessons from him and met him a couple times. Super cool dude!
Saw them in PA back in July. Always a fun show! I have both the white and purple Satchel Charvel models. My fav guitars!
Nice to see you got the old pink Charvel out 😊 I bought one of these because of you 😊
Great vid Cam love Steel Panther 🤘🏼
So fluid and clean. Makes my child-length pinky jealous as hell. Well done, Cam, thank you!
Steel Panther has to be my favorite modern band. Not only are they hilarious, but the musicality is insane! They're still one of my bucket list bands. 🤘😎🎸🤘
They're insane! Their stuff really comes alive, live! :)
Спасибо Кемерон, красивые необычные фразы 😊
Yes! The new record has so many KILLER riffs, so happy that they still have it!
Damn thats the THR30II? Sounds bonkers amazing!
nice
WTF? Did he just reference Neal Schon? Nice. Gonna watch the lesson now.
Satchel got some tasty licks in his bag
Master craft. Each of these lessons will take much practice and make everyone a better player. Thanks for all you do. You're an inspiration.
I appreciate that!
I love the unchained cover satchel played on
Brilliant video, thanks for sharing these 🤘
Oh my god yes! More of these videos they are perfect, Nuno would be a great one or a Warren Demartini one
Awesome video!
As always amazing playing ! Thanks for all of the videos.
Killer video Cam! Went and saw these guys twice, this year and last year in Winnipeg! The guys a fantastic guitar player, they kick ass! Amazing tutorial on the solo bits and exercises! Huge fan of your content! You also have some of the best reviews on the Yamaha THR 30 on UA-cam and own the same fender vintera in sea foam green that I own! You have great taste bro!

Saya dari Indonesia sangat suka dengan vidio saudara ❤❤❤🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🙏
GOOD JOB, WELL DONE
Love that guitar!!
Awesome stuff
That axe is beautiful
Great lesson cam
Enjoy your channel and playing. God bless 👍🤙✌️
That rocked 🤘
Oh yeah man! Satchel is awesome! With Steel Panther and Fight too!
Hey Cameron, tell Russ that Rod Honeyman from the old days in Fresno says hi and is happy for all his success. Thanks.
Neal Schon is one of my favorite Greats of Guitar Players.
Okay... 🙄
Neal Schon is awesome.
He's referring to a comment I made a the beginning of the video just incase someone missed it.
Yes Mr. Cooper! 😎🤘
My highlight of the video is him saying whore in his British accent. Sounds alot cooler than when I say it. Killer job Cameron, please keep the SP solo content coming.
YAARRRGGGG!!!!!!!
A cool video would be a breakdown of your favourite licks from Stars by Hear 'N' Aid. Oh my god 11 of the best guitarists of the 80s soloing their asses off on one track
Great video Cameron please keep these types of videos coming , any favourite modern day guitarists?
Andy James, Jason Hook, Plini, Nick Johnston. Loads of them but don't fancy teaching their stuff because they're active and always teaching
Would love to hear you show licks for the virtuoso guitarist Vito Bratta of White Lion.
He was a great player but his playing never really inspired me
Did you oil the fretboard or give it some treatment? Looks very clean! Mine got dirty very quickly haha.
Sick lesson dude
I cleaned it when I last restrung it.
Hey Cameron . Hope you're doing well . This Lesson really does cover everything I need to work on . I've always been kind of good with my Sweep Picking , but only with 4 note patterns from D to E and back and that's it . Haven't been able to throw a 3 or 4 note Sweep into the middle of a Solo . So like I said , this Lesson will really help me .
And one question , to get your opinion ; I've never been able to get even reasonably good at Alternate Picking . So I'm pretty good with Economy Picking but not great . Do you think me totally focusing on Economy Picking , and getting really good with it would make up for not using Alternate Picking ? I hope everything is going well with you . 🎸
Friends with benefiiiiiiiitttssss fuck yeahhhhhhhhh
Yep, Russ is a bad mo fo!
Russ Parrish is a great guitarist.
Do you have online lessons or a guitar course? I love your style.
I teach one to one sessions on Skype
For me, Satchel is one o the greatest of all time. He's a huge shredder but very melodic as well. I love him, not in a sexual way by the way.
What song is the opening riff?
Hi
Please do you have some video which is best connect pick ups
How,is your experience.
Btw how you connect pick ups on your guitar series or paralele
Regards
These are the stock pickups so I'm not sure how they're connected and wired but it will most likely be in series on this particular guitar. Not parallel
@@CameronCooper
Apsolutly nice and very Kind.Thank you.
Kind regards
WTF I must not be practicing enough. I wish I had 1/4 of this guy's skill 😕
Is there a M. Schenker vid?
Not planned one
@@CameronCooper
Mistake.
Hi cameron,
What's your guitar tuning in this video ?
I'm in standard 440
I think you're lower...D#?
Thanks in advance.
I say at the start of the video
Oh sorry! English isn't my first language.
I will pay attention and check this out.
I appreciate your quick reply.
Thanks Cameron.👍
Thank you sir!
1:16 Asian Hooker
2:25 Gold Diggin
4: 04 Asian Hooker (lick 2)
5:33 10 Strikes youre out
Careful with that axe, Eugene. I mean Wingnut Valvestem.
2 + 2 am 5!
But enough about you. What do you, think of you, so far?!!
Not given me much thought. Need improvement 😂
@@CameronCooper Oh Cameron, but don't all of us? (Guitar players, that is. Wait. . . . . . . . Or maybe people in general, I meant. Ha!)
Isn’t Satchel a GIT grad?
He did go to GIT. Whether be graduated or not I don't know
So I can get from this video, you are 100% using some sort of compression Sustainer, cause there is zero difference in the amplitude of any of your notes?!??
I play pretty hard and worked damn hard on my technique for years but jealous people forget that part. I have a little bit of compression to level the sound for recording purposes but it isn't doing a lot overall.
@@CameronCooper sure it is.
One can wiggle the string n keep it going but impossible to play throughout the neck n every note at the same amplitude. Impossible.
Maybe learn to do it instead of knocking what you can't do.
Steel Panther is an anomaly, I can't believe the purple/green haired wackos haven't come for their heads yet.
They tried, failed and then decided to join the party instead.
@@CameronCooper Saw them live in Scranton P.A a few years ago. Awesome crowd, great energy. One of the most fun shows I've ever been to.
