The Today show is the all time favorite for this Texan. They pure honesty and sincerity of what they do is priceless. You Aussies are so lucky. I have watched Georgie, Lisa, Ally and Brook come thru the door and leave, it breaks my heart every time. Karl if you leave I will fly to Australia and give you a piece of my mind. Not only the best morning show in Australia, but the best in the world.
I never saw the show except on youtube and I miss her already! Love Lisa.
Wow! From across the ocean. I found this cast about 3 months ago and laughed at every UA-cam classic. Lisa and Karl were perfect together and her humor was cheeky and bawdy. She will be truly missed.

I just started watching this as of recently. Georgie and Lisa gone big loss. Both beautiful, funny, talented, and professional. The whole cast is amazing! Karl and Ally and the rest are great. Karls laughter is infectious. Fantastic show! I wish the US shows were like this one.

People watched the show because of Karl not Lisa. And you forgot to mention that she was being paid more than the others on the project even though she just started. Feminism is full of brain washing lies which skip over the truth. In Lisa’s book she also said Karl didn’t acknowledge that she left.

I too just found this show last week of May 2018 and I have been watching it back to back every episode I possibly can I stay in Los Angeles but you guys are hilarious the looks and the word play is fabulous I love Georgie and Dickie is funny too everybody is great I hate that she's gone the chemistry was fantastic hopefully one day she can come back

So sad after finding this show on utube,why is everyone leaving? This group had me so enjoying and laughing with them! Here in the states no shows compare to this one! Will continue to watch though, great show!
Ch 9...Karl n Lisa are an awesome combination for us viewer's and thank you, now without lisa i could honestly say no more watching for me for without lisa the show won't be funny n watchable. Karl is funny, but it was more funniest to watch both, coz lisa put karl in his place. That's what makes today show awsome to watch early hours in morning. Now i can sleep in.
She quit because Channel 9 would not pay her the same amount as they paid Karl. It had been an ongoing issue and it seems she finally made the decision to leave, but I truly think that they won’t find a replacement that even comes close to her. Karl and her truly made a great team but I’m glad that everyone is still friends off screen. Really bad decision by Channel 9 though, and I’m sure they’ll regret it.

She was a good co-host. Unfortunately Karl and her will never have the same salary rate because Karl is the star of the show.
Lol what? The pay gap is a myth. I'm sure Karl does more hours outside of the today show so he gets paid more.
Okay well the pay difference was about a million dollars before they tried to negotiate. Lisa only made half of what Karl made.
During they negotiations they got an offer close to Karl’s salary but to be honest, I don’t think that their salary should differ hugely when they are both being paid for the today show. Like Karl gets extra money for doing 60 minutes etc. but they should be paid roughly the same for sitting next to each other on the same show, doing the same show every morning.
I'm sure they are paid the same if you only consider the Today Show work they do. Now Ms Wilkinson is apparently going to be paid more than her new co-hosts at Channel 10, where's the outrage for old Waleed getting paid less than her? Like someone said above, this was never a equality issue. It's a greed issue.

Oh this is so sad, I'm in the USA and only found this show this year, I loved their banter and thought she was excellent on the show. The fact that the channel refused to pay her the same as her co star is ridiculous.

Wilkinson herself announced she was leaving on Twitter and then just over an hour later announced on Twitter that she was joining Channel Ten.
In her 2021 memoir, It Wasn't Meant to Be Like This, Wilkinson revealed that she had in fact been sacked over her request for a fairer pay structure at the Network.

Exactly Jack, Lisa was mostly holding the main anchoring role by herself. Karl's other project was not a burden , they were perks because he wanted to work for 60 mins and prime time etc.
Karl was with the nine network since 2000 compared to Lisa who only joined in 2007. So wouldn't it make sense for the nine network to be more loyal to someone that has worked there for 10 years compared to Karl's 17. Not to mention Karl has won two major awards which consist of the Golden Logie and the Silver Logie. He is simply more qualified and a more liked TV personality compared to Lisa.
Karl's "charm" was manifested in Lisa's presence. Dont think that the show will ever come close to being the great show of the past. They have lost some major talent. Were they to bring Georgie back, they might give it a run, but she and Lisa were friends so no chance of that happening. I expect the ratings to go way down. Karl doesnt appeal to men. Well, maybe gay men. But........

I think Lisa is wonderful. But I think she made a mistake leaving. You do not often get the chemistry that there is/was between Lisa and Karl. I've watched her new show and it just doesn't make it. Oh well, it's really difficult sometimes to see things clearly from the inside out. It's important to always have and consult honest friends for their view from the outside in if you want a balanced view.

This is the difference between America and other countries. When someone leaves a show in America they are either never spoken of again or made out to be be villain. In Australia all the hosts share stories and speak admirably of their former coworker and I have a feeling the hosts would have done this with or without the empty suits and producers blessing.

Saturdays Child someone above mentioned that they would not pay her the same as Karl, so she finally left.
She wanted more than what Karl is getting . Karl is on 2 million a year, she and her agent wanted 2.3 million a year. Nine said no thank you, primarily because she was inaccessible and not committed to the Nine Network as much as Karl was. For example, apparently her duties with her commitments outside Nine (e.g. Huffington Post) made it so that she was hard to reach and that she was more focused with her editorials and commercial output than she was with channel nine. Karl on the other hand is completely 100% dedicated to Nine, where he does more programs and whatnot for them. I'm all for pay equity, but it seems that Lisa and her agent have made a mistake here trying to get MORE than Karl, on top of them already stemming away from Nine's network.

I personally was glad to see her go! I always preferred Georgie- she's way funnier and more intelligent than Lisa ever was - not saying Lisa isn't intelligent, but she was caught out on many occasions. Karl carried her through that show.
I was sad to see Karl go for the time he was gone! He makes that show. I thought Alison Langdon was the best fit with Karl! Both hilarious and Alison is a reputable journalist in her own right! She's way too good for ACA in my opinion.

I understand that she and Karl have not spoken or seen each other since she left. Its a shame if true. In the end it always comes down to money.
Brutal hours? 3 hours work a day? Lost touch with reality.
They have to prepare for hours upon hours when it comes to getting a story and formulating it so that way the audience loves it. They do so much behind the scenes for the show which is why it seems effortless.

Some people are really stupid. Lisa true was paid less but she was also contracted to the Huffington post unlike Carl who also done other shows on 9 and they used him exclusively unlike Lisa. I will miss them together but this was a money issue not for anything else ie female equality in work place. Well played Lisa got sympathy and $$$$$.
