Perfect comment about sanding - "if you don't want to do it, don't paint bikes". And 10:57 - that moment when you start to see the final colour coming through is magical. Great work again!
I’m delegating your videos that I can watch all day. I’d like to get into bike frame painting because in my area, no one does but I’m afraid I’m not professional enough so I’ll test myself and see if it’s possible to work on the family bikes, then friends and why not other cyclists if the result is good. Thank you for all your tips and video tutorials
As based in London and we are now in our second lockdown I’ve decided to paint my old Madone 2.1. I have a Carbon Madone 4.7 but wanted to rescue my alloy 2.1 after it was involved in a crash. The forks were cracked, Carbon front wheel exploded and almost every part of my group set got bent or scratched in some way. I decided to buy a new fork and rescue her. She’s full of scratches and I’ve got nothing but time so have been watching the channel thoroughly and finally begun yesterday knowing I’m doing it properly and cutting no corners. I’ve started more coarse than recommended with sandpaper as it just strips the top layers so easily and then once I get to raw working my way all the way up to a buttery smooth 1000 grit. I’m in no rush so won’t even consider primer until I’m completely done with prep. I’m then going to primer, sand, primer and then sand in between each coat. I’m going to keep it very simple with only basic block shapes and 2 main colours with a tan stripe separating them. Wipe with alcohol between every coat and wear all the necessary PPE. I’m not expecting factory finish but quite excited for the results knowing how battered the frame was before. Thanks for the great advice this is the only no nonsense page I’ve found on UA-cam.
This guy is Rad! I love the antics and enthusiasm too. Seriously, his passion and skills show through in the end result as well as his lil tips he throws out while he flips through the steps to the conclusion of the project. A real pro makes a job looks so easy and simple…love this guy!
That guy is just crazy! I like his style and job that done. It is just perfect! He is behaving like a bit high, it seems because of working in the paint shop. 😊👍🏼
Dude i wish we were neighbors... I will visit you a lot... With bike frame of course and don't forget the big smile.... Love the colours, the result of hours of hard work paid off...
Truly a labour of love. I think this dude makes it look alot easier than it really is to produce this quality of workmanship. Just fantastic keep up the great videos... 👍and subscribed.
Beautiful work! A question - after watching many of Your videos, I have not noticed - how do You stripsand the frame keeping the round UCI label undamaged? Same goes for serial number labels?
Awesome work as always! About the soundtrack, what is this (Disiac?) song @9:36 mark? I managed to find the rest but this one is awesome and I need to find it!
Amazig paint! Can You give some advices which painting technique spec used on their new Atheos ( this „rusty” one on some models, look like unfinished or painted just with few brush touches) it look amazing and I’m sure You know how to achive this kind of painting style. You inspired me to try some of You’re techniques on my old frames during the summer... And who kniws, maybe one day I will bring to You one of my frames... Great job, keep going!
Very nice job, do you think it would be possible to do all job with airbrush, I have harder and steenback infinity 2 in 1, except primer and final laque where I would use 2k primer in spray.
To get the old paint off, how do you know you're not sanding off some of the carbon and destroying the rigidity of the frame? Why sand after you apply a clear coat? Awesome result!
Great video. Lovely paint job. Just loved your crazy laid back attitude. Did not realize that you were German till I saw your links for the paints and tools needed for such a grand job. Do you have a link for the funky music you used, found it to be quite cool and energetic. I have subscribed. Weiter so mit den coolen videos, "Lets go!"
Hello Martin, I am your big fan, and looking at your work I decided to start painting the bikes and other stuff in my country. I wached all your educational videos and learned a lot of you. Great thanks for that, and I will love to live nearby you to help you for free, and learning a much more from you. This colour is best colour I ever seen and I want to paint my old bike like this. Can you tell me in more detail about how this paint is made? How much camelon powder, thinner and inter coat you put into the paint and how much paint you made in total? Thank you and I want you all the best.
Love the paint job, really some next level stuff! 😁 Do you ever get glue residue on the frame from the logo stickers when you remove them? I used some vinyl stickers on my first paint job (based on your tutorials) which left a sticky residue after removal.
Hello!!! Thanx for your videos!!! What kind of paint do you use??? Is it autorefinish??? What clearcoats??? And for example, when you spend a lot of time doing airbrushing and masking, do you make something special to save adhesion?? Cuz paint can overdry during this time
Why did you put the decals first before sanding it? Is it because the decals wont stick to the frame when you sand it first? Btw, your videos are so satisfying to watch and all those paint jobs from helmets to frames are so awesome! Keep safe and thanks for entertaining us with your works and crafts!
Why do you sound like a character from Peaky Blinders? Very nice video btw!
All my paint jobs are done by order of the peaky blinders.

Hahahaha nice
@@ETOE Is it me or does this frame changes colour on angle?
why not?
This color is a marvel. The bicycle has gone from the Harlequin outfit to a magnificent and desirable piece of jewelry. I love it !
Great job.
The little details of how and why, whether it's sanding, painting, stickering, etc. are fascinating. Thank you!
These are seriously the most entertaining painting videos every. It's an understatement to say you are a master of these two crafts.
An almost perfect result, there is only one major flaw, this paintjob isn't on my frame. You painted the wrong bike!!!
God dammit!
Perfect comment about sanding - "if you don't want to do it, don't paint bikes". And 10:57 - that moment when you start to see the final colour coming through is magical. Great work again!
I was in the past, I went to the future, and then returned to the now. I can tell you that this paint job is badass in ALL of the realms. no regerts.
"rubbing strangers tubes" your the best!!
It's almost 2025 and the paint job looks as hot 🔥 as ever, love your vids :D❤

I would love to see more of the Skeleton man.
Maybe in the future.
Incredibly great work as always 👍. And a lot of respect that your arent't getting nuts because of so much hours sanding.
Would love to see a bike or two built up after one of these gorgeous and mind blowing paint jobs. So beautiful it hurts.
