This video is a year + old, so I'm late to the party, but I really like watching this project take shape. Love the wood choices. I have never seen holly used before. Seems like a dream to use. Looks like it would also be a great carving wood. Great project! I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.!
Very nice, Tim! Great choice of complimentary woods. A little complicated but that's not your fault. I'd like to say I'm going to try it, but I doubt it. I know my limitations but appreciate that you made the effort and the result is exceptional!
Thank you for very interesting video. Cocobolo is a truly beautiful wood but it's almost prohibitively expensive in the UK. Thanks for giving a shout out for Carl Jacobson. He's a young and upcoming turner who shows signs of potential:-).
Hi Tim ,, similar to Carl's , been turning for a few years now but admit to being a novice, still , gotta have a go ,, a lady DIYer I used watch a while ago ,( can't remember her name ) would say " how hard can it be ",,. stay safe,,. Regards Alf
What sort of key way do you put in to keep the drawer from getting turned sideways or even upside down? A small slot on the bottom of the drawer and a pin just back of the opening? Beautiful work!
Wow, very nice Tim. How long was the actual total time to make that? Something I'd like to try but for a semi-weekend warrior like me (I get to turn only a few times a month), it appears that will be a two month project for me.

Cocobolo sure is pretty!
I think Dad will love this for Father's Day!
You put so much detail into your video that I really learn lots and I watch them to the very end a couple of times! Thanks Tim.

good . egypt is thanking you 🙋
Great project! Where did that v jig come from? That would be super handy in my shop, and much safer than using the wedge cut offs I currently use.

Neat project and nicely done as usual. Where did you find the cylinder jig?
Neat project.

Excellent idea! I was just figuring that after the first time of dumping the contents my wife would figure it out :^)
Get an india ink pen and draw an arrow pointing to the side. That way you wife can enjoy the joke over and over.
It would be nifty to preserve that hole cutout to be the drawer face. Could blend in pretty well. Not sure how doable that is lol

Kinda waste of wood.
