I came on UA-cam looking to repair my dryer and this…. This ….. popped up…. I am definitely here for the comments this should be renamed … “shit to do when you’ve done a whole 8ball and no house left to clean …”
If your daughter is irritated from the back of the button she could have a sensitivity to metals. You should bring her to a allergist to have her tested! I have a sensitivity to metals and I can't wear certain things and for the back of the button she could either tuck her shirt in just in front or you can sew a piece of fabric to the inside of her jeans so the metal doesn't rub on her skin it's just a tip!
A friend worked in food service for years and developed a nickel allergy due to constant exposure to metal trays. So yeah, even the small button in jeans can be irritating. She used a coating of nail polish to prevent the itching. I'm all for anything that will help. Good luck to everyone dealing with that.
I had the same problem with the metal on the back of my jeans & a friend told me to use fabric-tac to adhere a small piece of cloth over it. Problem solved.
Okay, so once it’s on the clothes, how do you get it out? You’re using just a little bit. To address a foot issue, a doctor told us to put Vaseline on mother’s feet and then socks over it. Of course then it’s in the socks, it’s gumming up the washing machine, and the socks aren’t clean or soft when they come out of the laundry. HELP! 😮
Petroleum jelly will wash off . Clear nail polish is a much better choice to coat the rear of the button. Lubricant such as wd40 or silicon lubes are better for zippers. Petroleum jelly is not good for contact with humans its oil.
I've already purchased ANOTHER bottle of Vaseline just for the great hacks you've shown! 😃
This is such an excellent hack. Thank you.
❤️❤️❤️
Many times! Thanks! 🤗
Let's just say that I've had to sew quite a few holes up from removing tags. I'm definitely going to give this a try.

Hercule Poirot used petroleum jelly on his patent leather shoes to prevent the leather from cracking.

Yeah I found it to be extremely odd that someone would get skin irritation from the jean button.

Bees wax is another alternative and it lasts longer.
Like this tip on Vaseline, pretty Cool Andrea!!!! Joan Bates ❤ ❤ ❤
Should be careful about not getting the petroleum jelly on actual clothing that may cause permanent oil based staining.

How about gum I got gum on the bottom of my shoe on the side of it and they’re pretty new on white
Put them in a plastic bag & freeze um
Those q tips have plastic! Buy the eco ones so much better for the environment. I’ve seen beaches littered with plastic q tip sticks!
