    I hand times that at 1:33, I know the guy is probably an amateur driver, but I was expecting better. Willow is an easy track to drive. The ACR Viper has the lap record of 1:21 twelve seconds faster than this guy in his Camaro.But it does't cost much so it's still a steal.

      Very good driving! 1:33.00 consistent for 25:00 minutes not bad at all! Very strong and cool engine in that Camaro ZL1. In-Time I know he will run 1:28.00. Stay safe everyone!

    Was it open passing into turn 1? I didn’t see the BMW give you a point and he seemed surprised.

    • @lobuzz311
      @lobuzz311 6 років тому +2

      Yeah, that was an incredibly sketchy pass in a ridiculous location. Dive bomb the corner and steal the M3s line without a point by after lugging along behind him on the straight? I sure hope for your sake that it was open passing all over the track, because I'd be chewing you out after the session for that move...

    • @the_track_enthusiast
      @the_track_enthusiast  6 років тому +4

      Open passing. No point by. The drivers meeting in this group says, “ if a dive bomb surprises you, you do not belong in this group “. It’s race Ike awareness and race like conditions

    Late on the gas. Should add throttle as soon as the car is in line to hit the apex, not after the apex. Worst in turn 9, but also happens in other turns.

    • @the_track_enthusiast
      @the_track_enthusiast  6 років тому +2

      First time at this track and with ambient temps of 32 degrees. Sooooo yeah ....... it was 27 on the way to the track. Makes more sense now . Turn 9 takes more than 2 sessions to learn and nobody was going to mash the throttle before apex to avoid sliding

      @@the_track_enthusiast, wow, was that cold? I thought you were baking in a 100° desert based on the video. Tires must've been as hard a hockey pucks. Great driving, especially on slick rubber.

      @CAMARO ZL1 TRACK ENTHUSIAST I would have thought so too, until it started showing numbers in the 60s. Even bounces into the 90's a few times. .

    Im looking into buying a ZL1 for the same purpose. I have CTS for a daily driver. If not to personal of question, how much is your up keep and maintenance on your ZL1? Especially after a track day

    • @the_track_enthusiast
      @the_track_enthusiast  4 роки тому +2

      It’s not bad. I generally just change the oil when it needs per the sensor. I don’t even replace it after an event and the brakes will need to be replaced front and rear usually after 6 trackdays. The parts you can get through GM parts and it’s so much cheaper. Brakes are $1124 plus install ( front and rear pads and rotors) plus labor. Tires are relatively cheap at $1100 a set but they go fast. I usually buy 2 sets at a time. 🤭😂.Tire rack is great and you can even get a $100 gift card sometimes

    Friends, JESUS will return soon to destroy the sin of the world through the 7 tribulations. It will be the worst period on earth ever. Repent from your sins and surrender our pain to HIM. HE loves you and is willing to help you. Repent from your sin. I bless you and cast out all your demons in the name of JESUS.

    Way to enjoy your ZL1. Nice job driving. I wouldn't worry too much about people's prior comments on early apexing this and that. Nobody will ever be completely perfect, but can get close. No one track condition or scenario is the same. Just feel the road and don't push beyond your envelopes. I think the problem comes when there's too many people on the track and people's car control ability when a situation other than ideal arises.
    The only Willow Springs in this pandemic right now is on the playstation. Best line and speed for corners at the end of this video:

    Hey man, sorry if this is a dumb question; does Willow Springs allow for a passenger to accompany you on the track?

      Absolutely !

      F THE TRACK !!! Beast :). And are beginners welcome or no?

    • @fthetrack4355
      @fthetrack4355 7 років тому

      Always. It’s about $160-$180 for 4 20-25 Mom sessions on track. All beginners get an instructor in the car with them for 1-4 track days depending on your skill and comfort. It’s AMAZING !! Check out local track groups on google. I used to track a Lexus ISF. It’s safer then being on the road with people texting

    • @subaschen8595
      @subaschen8595 7 років тому

      F THE TRACK !!! If my friends and I went sometime in the near future chances are we wouldn't be there for that long, so is it possible to pay for just one day? And during that track time, a passenger could still ride along after the driver has been instructed right?

    • @fthetrack4355
      @fthetrack4355 7 років тому

      Yup! No issues. I usually only do a one day thing and bounce . You can take passengers once they move you up to anmorw davnced group or if you have previous track experience and register for the intermediate group
