Which foundation stick words for you? I’d love to hear what your favorites are. 💜 FYI I did get my hands on the new ILIA sticks as well so I’ll be testing & reviewing those soon!
I looooooove the WA foundation stick. I have combo skin and use just a small amount. I dab my Merit foundation brush across the stick maybe three times. Definitely no dabbing, more swiping but I also focus more on the inside of my face and not my bronzer and concealer areas. I don’t layer my makeup to keep it natural. Love the Merit foundation as well however I like WA better. Merits stick highlighter is incredible though!
love this feedback, thank you!! all about the swipe for it...100% 💜 oh also, I tried the Merit highlighter stick and that formula went south on me so quickly each time. I must have received bad batches! Otherwise I liked it.
For WA, I got it to work finally (after buying and selling x3) with a very light hand and a flat brush, no spreading with stick in face. So perfect and beautiful! Dry 43 year old skin
thanks for including Ogee and Merit. i've been looking at those two lately as i'm about to do a travel back to the philippines, and looking to minimize any liquid i have to bring in the carryon. not sure what you think of foundation sticks from Milk, Well People, Nudestix and Trestique, but i wish you could review them also if you haven't yet. the Merit one does have BHT in its ingredients, and both have coconut oil/triglycerides. Ogee is incredibly pricey which i balk at
you're welcome! I tried W3ll People a while back, liked it, but I'm sure things have changed over the course of 6 years. Milk and the others I've yet to test. 💜
I second the well people suggestion…it seems they’ve done some revamps in recent years and I’m so curious how they’re sculpting, highlighting and blush sticks are…any of their makeup really! I’m sure the packaging is not great 😕 But their price point is appealing and the ingredients look pretty good, thank you!
Not sure about foundation sticks but I’ve been inquisitive about the Jones Road face pencil. Would you recommend it as a touch up instead of tinted face moisturizer?
The face pencils are for spot coverage or that's how I've used them, when you don't need evening out all over. I wouldn't use it instead of a tinted face moisturizer, I used both the tinted moisturizer (usually with some form of sunscreen) + the pencil to even out in certain spots where needed. Honestly, I haven't been reaching for the face pencils, but now that I'm trying the neutralizer I'm playing around with things more so they could make their way back into the routine...💜
I haven't tried JI in forever! They used to send pr to test out awhile back, but it's been crickets. And they've gone off my radar a bit- I am intrigued though, may need to check their stick out! Thanks for the heads up 💜
@@BrittWitkin I have not seen anything about a stick foundation on Jane Iredale website. I also receive emails from them on new releases so not thinking there is one yet.
I’m sad Vapour went out of business. I loved their foundation stick. How does the Zao compare to it? My skin tends towards dry. Also, have you tried the new well people foundation stick?
So so sad. Zao is less luminous, it’s a truer foundation. I have well people in my cart, have yet to buy! But it’s been awhile. I’d love to try it again and see what’s up 💜
Yes! I wanna see it. Talk about the neutralizer pencil. What does it even mean?! 😅 I don’t get to watch your videos too often, but when I do, you crack me up by some of the things you say and how you say them 😂 I don’t like a full face of foundation, so I use the Merit complexion stick just where I need it. I want to try the Zao stick and the mob beauty foundation now, thanks to you. Will you be reviewing the new Ilia foundation stick? I’d like your opinion on it if you do. Ok, thanks. Byyye 😊
I will be reviewing the new ILIA stick yep! Thanks for watching when you do. 💜 For sure check out those other two, Zao and Mob. Wearing the MOB foundation today actually...
My Ogee complexion stick arrived today and I immediately tested it and I can say I love it because of how natural it looks on the skin. It just glides on the skin and like what other women said, it has a buttery texture. However, i don’t have a make up brush so I used a sponge which i think did not work as well as a brush would. Well, i would understand if this Ogee make up is not as lasting as we would like it to be and its because of its organic natural (plant based) ingredients. Just like my groceries, i prefer organic and they don’t last as long as the non-organic fruits amd veggies. Thank you Britt for patiently making a comparison of these natural stick foundations. It helped me make up my mind.🫶🏽
I’ve had the Merit in my cart for a while, but now I may go with the Ogee especially with the coupon code! The Mob Beauty I will not be trying because it has hyaluronic acid which I may have sensitivity to. Currently I use the potted concealer from Inika Organic but I am looking for a better shade range. I am also curious about the new Ilia stick because they have omitted HA in the formula.
Nice! Interesting about HA. I do prefer formulas without it as well. Honestly I'm fine with makeup not having any skincare since I use products that are solely meant for it. But that's an unpopular opinion. Testing the ILIA sticks now!
Update I did purchase the Ogee in 0.5 Birch and the scent was horrifying to me and I got hives lol. I don’t know how I missed the patchouli oil but they should advertise the scent more. The finish was ok it didn’t show texture but more of a matte finish on me. Shade was a little yellow for a neutral. I returned it.
I Love Zao products. They are organic certified that guarantee that their products have passed a lot of testing and that they don’t have harmful Chemicals like nanoparticles. I recommend this brand as well as MÁDARA
Hi! Would you please review the new makeup line (Oceanly) that came out from the brand Attitude Living. I don’ t know if you know about them but they are a very earth friendly and clean ingredients company and they just came out with some makeup products. I’ve been eyeing them but I just can’t find any reviews on them.
Great reviews. I have had all three. My WA , I use it to spot check. I use the drops first then spot check with the stick. I did not hear of your hack and will try it! The Ogee not my fav, it's a bit drying on this dry mature face. But, with the hack I will try and see if it works better. Merit was a no go for me, too thick and did the same, dry patches no bueno.
Great review. Interested in Zao now. Funny -- Westman Atelier stick -- people either love or hate it. (I hate it.) I'm interested in trying the Fenty stick next. Fenty's liquid moisture foundation actually worked for me. First time I enjoyed a liquid. Then they discontinued it. But, I will always pick a stick first. They can be so versatile and beautiful if the formula is good.
I am not a fan of sticks myself. I feel they are better for oilier skin people who like quick and easy and no brush. They also seem higher priced as well.
which one is your favorite foundation ? I have very sensitive skin and i would like natural ingredients, I want to cover brown spots on my face. Thank you

I personally use mine over sunscreen most days and they blend perfectly and are super easy to customize coverage

The Zao sounds and looks really nice! That is definitely the one I'd like to try! What oil do you use along with the foundation?❤
I usually use a jojoba oil blend I keep around for gua sha- it's jojoba and rose/geranium extract. 💜
What brush are you using to apply them with? I usually don’t use a foundation stick. I find them to be too thick.
BK- go.shopmy.us/p-2923278 and the Fitglow Teddy- go.shopmy.us/p-3445530 are two I use most often!

What kind of oil do u use with the foundation sticks thank u
organic jojoba works like a charm
I like merit but I can see how it would be problematic on dry skin. I buff it in, use setting spray. Love it.
Thanks for sharing how you wear it! 💜
Ilia also has a new line of complexion sticks. everyone's in on it nowadays
got 'em! Testing now.
I’ve tried three shades of Ogee, it hangs onto my dry patches. I wanted to love it but I do love the Ilia stick
thanks for sharing your experience with Ogee!
Thanks for the great review. Where can we buy Zao products in the US? Sephora doesn’t seem to carry them.

I am wondering if you have found titanium dioxide free liquid foundation other then MGnaturals?
I haven't been looking for that specific formulation, titanium dioxide free. Thanks for mentioning- I'll keep an eye out.

Jojoba! Easy peasy 💜
