@@moeswagger2329 When Eren kisses Historia's hand, he gets a glimpse of everything that will happen and what he has to do to save the people he cares about/end the curse. So pretty much, he saw how his head would get cut off and how he would have to create the rumbling. He also knew who would die and who would live, including what percentage of the population would survive. So, everything that we see in the show.
Him making contact with Historia also showed him how he became the Attack Titan against his will (Grisha forced him) and confirms that the dream he had when he was a kid in episode 1 was all true. His dream was comprised of events that would later occur in the series.
@@My_Garmonbozia Hmm, see I kind of disagree. I agree that he saw most of what you mentioned, but not him getting shot. I don't think he was shown every detail, just glimpses from different points in time which was enough for him to start the rumbling. Ngl I would love Isayama to detail exactly how much Eren saw after kissing Historia's hand.

hard disagree, too many contradictions.
In "this video will change how you see Eren" with the "Eren is (not) free" thumbnail, he talks about this and in the comments explain in great detail why there are like a dozen problems with "Eren knew everything when he kissed Historia's hand" and why "he knew everything when he unlocked the founding titan" has literally only 1 problem - which is Eren telling Armin that he did it for that from the start, and could easily explained as Eren lying there, which makes sense since afterward he says that he did it for himself and not for them.
Eren can't send memories back in time - he can send them to previous inheritors. This is very important, because it means that to know the future using the Attack Titan, Eren needs to use an intermediator -Grisha, in this case.
With the founding titan's limited power, he could see memories of previous inheritors.
This way, Eren circumvented by having both the Attack Titan and Founding Titan at the same time - first time in 2000 years. And because of that, he could know his own future.
But this raises other problems and info about what exactly Eren showed his father.
For example, Grisha said to Zeke that he saw their future and that everything will go according to Eren's plan, which is doing the rumbling and crushing the world. If he saw Eren die in the end - why would he say such a thing?
Or another thing is, why would he lock up his friends? if he knew that they would stop him - wouldn't he want them to be outside? there's no reason to that.
That, and many more problems.
So no, Eren didn't see the entire future...he saw important glimpses.

@@ThePointlessBox_ Don't even get me started on those two. Levi at least has somewhat of an out because he's been with the scouts for God knows how long. Mikasa on the other hand has no excuse. But you mean to say that a 15 year old with her frame is handling a fucking .50 running around and making trick shots without her shoulder exiting the chat from the recoil? I mean ffs take the time she literally blasted a titan with that thing while she was mid-air a few minutes before this scene. The recoil should've knocked her flat at bare minimum since there's a very good reason you generally shoot those while braced against something, usually the ground. Then being able to id Eren, line up the shot, and take it in less than a second? Or how about the time she nails the okapi while she's moving on the flying plot jaw titan? That's not being a prodigy, that's bullshit. Just as much as how utterly convenient it was for that one dumbass garrison guy at liberto hanging out of the airship for literally no good reason so she could easily get in and start blasting? And figuring out odm gear while hanging onto it with Falco? And the reason I call BS on her aim is because any one of the warrior candidates then should be able to make those kind of shots if they've all been trained that young. And let's not even get into the BS with how she nailed floch head on while he's soaring hundreds of feet above her while blasting his ODM for all it's worth. We never see her miss even once. Which is just sue tier bullshit, to say nothing of mikasimp's shenanigans either. But that's a whole different can-o-worms.
This whole anime is a masterpiece. These whole scene is epic and that fragment where Eren is running and the rest is fighting Armoured in the background with that soundtrack..... Goosebumps...

Gabi and Sasha were prodigies in terms of shooting actually. That's why she was one of the best warrior candidate and an apparent inheritor of the armoured titan

It _is_ sad until I remember that he ate Ymir who was a better character imo (more tragic, compelling, and cared about others enough to sacrifice her life for them aka Reiner/Bertholdt). Galliard was kind of a stuck up, self-absorbed, asshole prick who only had something to prove--that he's "better" than Reiner. Only time he seemed to emote was after he found out why his brother, also a better character, died. Also, he was a shitty, useless titan shifter who let his temper tantrums override his strategy/tactfulness every freaking time it mattered (ie. Eren/Warhammer fight). Falco did more in his short time ***SPOILER***as a shifter than Porco did his entire term. Ah, well.🤷🏻♀️

Yeah, people sometimes forget that Eren didn't got beheaded by Mikasa, but by Gabi. What Mikasa did was just to separate the already severed head from the titan body that was keeping him alive.
So there was really no turning back for Eren since the moment Gabi shot him. I am also sure that knowing about his condition ended up faciliating Mikasa's decision to literally take him out of his misery.

That was so brutal. And to think a 12 years-old girl could have been the savior of the entire world by shooting Eren, preventing the Rumbling if his head didn't land into Zeke‘s hand with the brain being still briefly functional before the death.
I just think it’s very sad that there was no going back for Eren after this scene. His head shooting off was like the final act.

That's an average 18 kg(39.6 lb) gun similar to the soviet PTRD-41 used for tanks. A kid, even though trained managing to use the gun that heavy and go as far as to headshot a guy, seems kinda ridiculous. That too without the recoil not knocking her down for more than seconds.
Gabi has some supernatural abilities to get that shot correct or it was just a lucky shot🤷🏻♂️

And that was also a lucky catch by Zeke. If everything was not unavailable due to how time travel works in the Attack on Titan universe. Honestly I would have had Eren and Zeke start the rumbling when Eren was under cover in Marley

Holy shit a lot happend in this episode in the first half alone and the second half was impressive breathtaking
Hell it was so hype and because I remembered it differently (or they did change it from the manga), I completely forgot when exactly Gabi was going to neckshoot him. So when it happened I was breathless for 2 minutes. I could only exclaim a "WAIT!". What a powerful scene.

That was the narrative he went with the real plan was to break free from the spavery that was indoctrinated in the attack titan. The attack titan was basically hardwared to follow the founders orders and keep moving forward. Ymir was designed to be a slave to the royal family. Eren was just caught uo in the hate, when he saw Ymir as a slave he basically said "ayo what if we just wipe out the world and you wont have to be a slave anymore?" So Ymir basically went LETS FUCKING GO!
The only issue was the founding titan was subconsciously following Ymirs will since well shes the founder so Eren just wanted a clean slate he basically went "Yo guys if you win GG but ummmm heres some colossals have fun I guess"
The whole I'm protecting my friends was Yaegarist copium he said it himself "we get rid of history it doesnt repeat itself" he basically wanted to wipe out history
When Eren got shot, time slowed down to the point where we get still images like it was trying to revert back into manga state
Imagine how traumatic this was for Zeke. He’s lost all the family he ever knew, from his parents, to Mr. Ksaver, and now watching Eren get his head blown off. Eren knew the outcome but Zeke didn’t. I always felt so sorry for him, his life story was so tragic

Normally it takes a person 2 - 3 seconds to get up from a chair or couch, when Gabi decapitated Eren I got up in 0.5 seconds in shock
I actually banged my head on the cupboard watching the scene for the first time. Even watching the episode the 5th time I can't imagine how they put it together so well. Truly one of the best scenes and best episodes.
