I used to think Crowley had fallen for Aziraphale first. But now that we’ve seen how they first met, when they were both angels. I understand Aziraphale fell for Crowley first, but Crowley fell harder.
I mean, of course Crowley fell harder, he's all around fallen, in general (this is a very bad joke and I'll see myself out)
But Azi fell twice.

azi is also the only person crowley takes his glasses off for, even in hell and near other demonds, he wears them.
I used to do that, when I feel in love I didn't notice, he kept singing "honey pie" from the beatles, and I started collecting stuff that looked like bees, I got a crocheted vest that looked like honeycombs and it clicked. It was because of him

4:00 i always thought that wasnt disappointment, it always felt more like finally accepting that crowley is his friend and not just demon acquaintance and it having slipped out "thats what friends are for" is a big moment of finally accepting he's actually close with crowley
What's weird is a few moments earlier in the theater in front of the proprietor of the theater he calls Crowley "my good friend." I think in that moment in the bookshop, Aziraphale is thinking about what crowley has already done that night, and how he realizes he loves him. Aziraphale in that moment is thinking could we ever be more than friends? And Crowley hears the pause before friends, he started to smile and then he looks away. He's thinking Aziraphale doesn't want to say friends. But he wants to say more.

I found it very sad.
I remembered that this is how it is in life, sometimes people exchange love for power, or family for money. The angel was so pure and generous, but, making a parallel with real life, every man has his price.
As much as he also loved Crowley, having a position in heaven was more important to him... That was my reading.
This happened to me, a man who said he loved me so much, when he was in a position of having to choose between our relationship and an important position, chose the position. And he looked at me with those same passionate eyes

I think far too many people have been casting doubt on Aziraphale's love for Crowley since season 2 aired. He absolutely adores him. He just expresses it differently and is struggling to reconcile what he really wants with what he feels is his calling and responsibility as an Angel. Tbh, I don't know how you could possibly watch the scene where Aziraphale gets all bashful and giddy before asking Crowley to dance and NOT agree that he's completely smitten.
Some fans will argue that Aziraphale takes Crowley for granted and doesn't do enough given how much effort Crowley puts in for Aziraphale (and I get it because at first I kind of thought this as well). But first of all, I've decided I think this is rubbish because there are multiple times Aziraphale has come through for Crowley when he needed him. Secondly, I think Crowley's constant need to save Aziraphale isn't really just about Aziraphale. It's about himself, and his need for purpose. He likes taking care of Aziraphale because it makes him, who struggles constantly with feeling angry, powerless, and unworthy of being loved, feel better about himself. In return, he doesn't need or want Aziraphale riding to his rescue. Just his love, trust, and acceptance are enough for Crowley.
And I think that's why Az's offer to become an Angel again felt like such a betrayal to Crowley. He felt like his Angel was saying, "You're not enough as you are." But I'm absolutely convinced that after everything they've been together and how much danger they've consistently found themselves in due to their relationship, Aziraphale genuinely just wanted to protect Crowley and create a world where they could be happy without having to run away.

Honestly, the kiss is pretty tragic when you look at the finer details. The hand that hovers and wants so _badly_ to cling to him but pulls back. The whimper as he's overjoyed but knows it can't be because of the role he took. The "Lo-" that dares fight up from his throat as his heart lurches for something it wants, yet is swallowed back down with a numb and cold "I forgive you", an Angelic act akin to saying "Let's just forget this ever happened".
He's so used to being the good boy, so used to Heaven's laws, that the very concept of being in love with a demon, of throwing away everything, of condemning himself essentially, is impossible. And so all he can do is choke back tears and pretend like it's all for the best, ignoring eons of companionship and praying to God that his heartache won't last for as long.
I just love sweet, innocent Aziraphale!

Did anyone else hear "ou est la plume de ma jardinier de ma tante?" When Azirephale spoke french? That means "where is my aunts gardeners feather?" I didn't hear anything about a pen (ignore my bad spelling I am asking because french is my seconds language.) I love this video by the way!
As I understand it, plume can also mean pen (as well as stylo), deriving from the time when feathers were used as quills for writing implements.
We still use "stylo plume" actually 😊. It's an old style pen who needs ink cartridges in it. Every student in primary school had to use it until quite recently. Still available in stores and supermarkets in France.

It's almost guaranteed that season 3 will make up for everything but omfg it's going to be so bad (in a good way). I can only imagine how they'll both be if there's any intimate moments, just from how Az was so quick to clearly want to say "I love you" but stopped himself. If he gets the chance to finally express himself I feel like he'd be kind of a loving mess.
I fully expect Aziraphale discovering affection to go the way that Aziraphale discovering roasted ox ribs went. 😂

I am re-watching S1. At first I thought Aziraphale was flirting with Crowley, and in S2 was Crowley to Aziraphale, but now I think that Crowley was the one who was flirting all the time. Aziraphale also, of course, but being cute and naive is part of who he is. However, for Crowley is so different and cute.
In this seasons, Aziraphale seemed more like he's the one leading everything and making all the decisions, in the last season it was Crowley. I supposed, heaven for heavens problem and hell for hells.
