when you press the notes during focus strike on beat it each one does damage and if you do every note on beat you get a better finisher for your focus strike.
Fun fact: you can use offset melody during a performance without breaking it. You can load three songs, play two, use off set, the finish with the third, all without breaking the performance
6:16 If you queue up multiple songs, you can press Triangle + Cricle after playing a song to immediatly play the encore and end the performance early. This way you don't have to play all the songs you have in queue, if you only want to play one or two of them.
I was actually so disappointed when playing rise, when my performances were removed. While i did like some kind of hyperarmor/dodge move there was just something missing. But now we get the best of both worlds with normal performacnes/encore AND offset attack. Bubble is also SO NICE. when not having queued up a high value/high dmg song, but the monster was downed, i can lay a bubble and simultaneously queue up a song, and then go right into performances/encore. Dooting has never beend this fun. feeling the weight on each hit. Also the whole timing aspect both for the wound/bubble AND performance mode raises the skill ceiling, and gives a statisfying feeling. Now I still kind of suck at timing the performanc inputs, but its still so much fun though.
Two things I'd like to add: 1.The timing to the focus strike is a bit delayed. You have to hit the notes when the red waves enter the mouth of the saxophone in this case. If you get them all 5 of them right you get the big finisher. 2.Echo bubble has hyper armor right at the end of the animation. I love the changes they made here. World's HH pales in comparison.
9:02 You can play different notes with these moves btw. You don't have to play the same note again. If you press forward + circle and then press triangle you can play red+white in one move. Same for the yellow one.

At least from my experience, part of the difficulty of the Echo Bubble is that it seems to default to Dodge if you push the buttons while actually moving in a direction. I need to check, because on PC you can bind special Combo buttons for keyboard, if that problem still happens with that, because if so then it may just be down to timing. But in my experience doing the Echo Bubble is much more consistent if you stop moving first. Which if you're a dooter you need to start practicing stopping and turning around anyways so you can hit monsters on the Back-Swing of your Double Note, aka The Grifted.
Offset melody is a stance, you can activate the stance and prep for the attack. Doesn’t need to be immediate that you swing, you will remain the stance for a couple seconds it seems
If you are having trouble timing the weapon flash, I found it easier to watch the flash on the music measure on the upper left. There's a more distinct animation flash there.
Someone's probably mentioned it already but you can hold offset melody and then time it. You go into this cool final f as ntasy like stance and you can hold it for a pretty long time!
Idk if this is already confirmed but I hope echo bubbles buffs differs between all hunting horns. Like this one gives you speed up and another hunting horn gives you an elemental attack up!
Slight correction. The trigger pulls during performance are "performance beats". Encore is done at the end of the performance by using the yellow note.
@placeholder24678 the performance beat puts the buffs into level 2. Encore will trigger the offensive ones again. It's a very different division from world or rise.
@daishzen it seems that encore plays both buffs and attack songs again when triggered. Performance beats don't play the songs again during the performance unless triggered after the last song then it acts like an encore. I think playing an encore with the 3 echo waves queued will combine all 3 waves into one attack, useful for wake ups.
@@placeholder24678 yes, but if you've done the performance beats, then playing the buff so gs again doesn't really have an effect in encore since you'll already be at level 2 of the song. The damage ones will actually give a benefit in the encore with all that bonus damage
