Great job describing the inputs and being willing to point out the small details on how you could improve. Not many coaches do that

I think a favor people can do for themselves here is to take a day and drive Road Atlanta in an underpowered car because you really get an appreciation for how steep the hills are at turn 5 and after turn 10. Everything I do going through those corners is to carry as much speed as I can going up those hills because my throttle pedal makes more noise than thrust at those points.
Also, the curbing on the track out of turn 5... you want to “straddle” it. You can avoid that harsh hit at the end of the curbing by having your outside tires on the other side of the curbing with your inside tires on the track surface. Don’t do this if it’s wet or your car is excessively stiff, but for most of us this is the fast way out.

Fantastic track. Ran it with WRL this weekend for the first time and this video helped me tremendously after my first few sessions.

I use to run track days at RA in my C5R-427. I really enjoy the track. I am in the order queue for a C8 Z06 and looking forward to getting back to RA!

I was stoked when I could see the red dot on the track map at around the 9:15 mark. I don't know this track at all, but I want to see it before it comes to GT7. (Save your breath, Tizmo hatas, go play something else and get on with your lifes). Good info. Like button will be smasheded.

Some important points I’d add. Curbing to avoid in the wet: all of it! Don’t touch it at all. Most dangerous curbing you shouldn’t touch in the dry: entry to turn 7 will yank the car to the left; apex of Turn 10a will damage suspension, Exit of 10 b will damage suspension, put you into the bridge if you’re apex is too early, you’re too hot; apex of turn 12 upsets the car and is best avoided. When setting up for the esses coming through Turn 4, the wider your exit out of 4, the more load you will put into your right rear getting back left for a proper entry at the top of the esses and the more dangerous the transition. A full throttle straight exit out of 4 into the esses entry is the safest. An oversteer at essses entry can lead to a driver’s side impact to the wall and death. The esses are the highest incident area of the track at the highest incident track in the country. Minimize or eliminate your Turn 4 exit arc - or be sure to manage your RR spring load at entry. Rinse, repeat and enjoy!
