Here's the deal: you can right click (higher dps than left click) at further range than before safely you don't have to play as safe higher fire rate AND +2 damage essentially gifts you like 20 percent more charge also means u get more kills faster and more dash resets from spamming rmb onto tanks, esp if u can combo with orisa halt and blade was always the most important/impactful thing about the hero
You forgot to mention how they buffed his right click spread and even after the revert they left it on. Genji had a net buff most heroes have a net nerf think about it
@Steven Uhlemann he is not broken neither are any of the others I mentioned. He is just strong which he never rlly should be. ow has tons of different heroes but a lot of them are easy in both positioning and aim. look at mei, reaper, junkrat, bastion etc. if those heroes are even tied with the harder to play heroes in terms of power (tracer, genji, widow, doom, echo) the easier hero will win just because there is less skill required for the same result. I play reaper in scrims on diamond master console team and ive played in mirror comps agaisnt 4200+ players and the only time I wasn't getting rolled in duels or overall value was when we were both on reaper. im 3200 btw so an 1000 sr difference closed by just both being on reaper. in comp it might be a little different because his playstyle changes but in the end he is strong
People in the comments mad about that change are just a bunch of meta junkies who forgot there are more than 2-3 dps, tanks, and healers. They get real spooked if a existing character shifts the meta comps.

He just got buffed / nerfed 29 dmg but 110 on blade
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they took genjis sword and replaced it with a large foam noodle.
