Yeah, well, we'll never know how things would have gone with Liberal, but if there was any dud that came out of the 1990 election it was Bob Hawke. The years following his re-election were some of the worst in recent times in Australia.
@tomchristmas i can openly say i fill in every box below the line. all 170 or so of them, because i don't agree with the preference deals all of the parties make with each other. they don't represent my political opinion (and i bet most other people). this applies to ALL parties in australia.
Not really. I have yet to meet someone that openly admits to filling in every box below the line on the Senate (*) ballot paper (and isn't 'donkey voting'). Our tax return form on the other hand... (*) I'd like to say 'equivalent to the House of Lords', but you don't for vote for your Upper House, do you?
"If the Answer is Liberal.....the Question is Fucking Stupid"
A great piece of Street Art near Sydney University during the 1990's
Wow, don't get to see this every day.
Thanks for the Australian History

I vote below the line.
Ah, the 90s.
How wild was Peacock's acting at the end?
When I stumble across some more tapes from 1993, sure!
I have always voted below the line with the Senate papers, as I don't wish to have certain ones in above others.
I like John Hewson, but Andrew Peacock would have been a terrible PM.
You forgot the Janine Haines 'Give a Damn'!
i like the labor ads better
ALP Sucks Balls!
Capital gains tax , the result of more age pensioners on Government today

Lol, John Howard was a more energetic fellow back during those ads. Here's hoping he has a fine retirement, and so he should.
Bah - doesn't matter what the system - first-past-the-post, preferential or whatever - you still end up with lying scumbags :P
Vote for Fair Go - the answer is Liberal.
LOL
