Just bought this amp (6L6) Version and can say categorically this is the best amp i have EVER heard. I am a rock player - vintage, classic and a little modern. I use a Les Paul traditional into a 2x12 cab loaded with greenbacks and also use two (1x12's) - one loaded with a V30 and the other with a creamback. I own 2x Marshall JCM800's (one 1981-2203- slp 1959) and one (2203x re-issue). I also own an Orange Rockerverb mark 3 (50 watt head) and can say this amp sounds better than all of them (at reasonable volumes). At higher volumes the bigger amps sound fantastic and have their own character (the ones we all know) but i'm preferring playing the Kraken. These Victory guys have managed to capture the plexi circuit in a tiny box which weighs only 8kg's! You get those plexi harmonic overtones with the volume at 9 o clock on the amp! If yoou've played a plexi circuit amp you'll know what i mean - those overtones where the notes "sing" - this amp does that! This amp is RIDICULOUSLY LOUD!! The first time i played it at half way volume it LITERALLY stopped me in my tracks - i could NOT believe how loud it was! The best way to describe this amp (in the room) is - it sounds like you have double tracked your guitar in a recording (you know the trick we all use to make the recorded guitar tracks sound fatter - record two guitars) - this sounds like that IN THE ROOM! I HAVE NEVER achieved that and have bought easily 50 boost peals to try achieve that sound (in the room) but have NEVER achieved The solo boost foot pedal is just bloody genius and works so well. I have removed third of my pedals as the amp sound better without them - only my ep booster survived the reduction. PROS : 1) Its light and small 2) It sounds HUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEE - sounds like a double tracked guitar in the room! 3) It a plexi style circuit and sounds and plays / feels like one 4) It takes all my pedals and effects fantastically - worked well with all of them - FIRST time i've experienced this! 5) It sounded equally as good with ALL my speakers - this too IS A FIRST! 6) It cleans up SOOOO well! roll back your guitar volume and tone knobs and you are into organic woody blues tones - REALLY good blues tones CONS: 1) Cant see myself using the gain 2 channel much except for a more saturated lead tone but then that was the plan all along so this is not really a con . If you're in doubt don't be - buy the amp its the best i have EVER played and owned (and I've owned a lot of them)
@@justice100forwin2 The master volume works really really well for attenuation (you don't really want power amp saturation for really high gain tone) but if you do want the power section to light up then you get 7-8 watts in low power mode, then close to 1 watt if you flick the switch in the back to just use 1 power tube (make sure to alternate which tube you flick to every time to wear them evenly.
@@Surfandmusicequipmentreviews I get the 6L6s would provide a "cleaner" amplification (so I can see where you're coming from)..... But everything else I've no idea what you said, lol
Nice one, mate. I've recently found your channel, and since then, been spending a few hours watching the videos. It's difficult to find some good technical guitar players that plays 99% of the stuff you like. Keep it going! Cheers.

Awesome tones as always Bea! Wondering you would mind doing a quick explanation of the "galloping/tapping" thing you like to do up around the 12th fret. I love how it sounds whenever you use it and it has me stumped something major while trying to learn Illumo. Thanks! And keep up the great work as always!
Must. Have. One. Love this amp tone. It’s literally what I’ve been hearing in my head die years bur could never find! You’re playing is inspiring my man. 🤘🏻
When you click on a video just to hear Rabea play for 15 minutes. I really hope a lot of what you just played gets released as Dorje or Toska material in the near future!
Nice touch response. That fuzz on the single coil was huge! You can hear all the notes on the metal settings. And the last jam with the PRS was wild. Then the clean on the PRS? Great. Hitting the low e open that was great and snappy
How the hell did I come here to listen to a high gain amp only to have the hair on the back of my neck stand up from such an awesome blues tone and playing! Great amp, and great playing as usual Rabea.
I want this amp so bad... It's so dynamic, and that last rhythm tone is god-tier. Now if you'll excuse me, I've been sufficiently inspired to go practice. You're such a sick player. Thanks for the music and the inspiration, man. Oh - one question - are those pickups in your Chapman sig the stock pickups, or have you swapped them? The bridge sounds absolutely killer.
Amazing playing Bea as always! The only thing I've never loved about the Kraken is how much more treble gain 2 has than gain 1. It's hard to get the EQs to match on them because of that. Maybe on a V2 you guys can better match the top end on the 2 channels.
Eh first comment, man when is the super kraken coming out!!! Btw man your a huge musical and physical inspiration for me, as Ive seen how healthy you've gotten over the years and it's really pushed me to consider changing my lifestyle, killer tones btw. Go victory!

Holy shit bea! You are such an inspiration to my own playing and I can't wait for the day I get good enough to riff as hard as you! Cheers from America!
I am really digging this amp. I've been a Marshall guy for years, and then jumped over to Friedman, then Mesa and ENGL. Been searching for something heavy, but with its own unique tone and character. The Victory Kraken sounds incredible - deep, heavy tone, but yet not with that oversaturated washed out sound! Dig the smaller size head. Watched a handful of clips and checked out the price - couldn't believe a 50 watt amp with this much character came at just over $1k!! (US). Really looking forward to diving into this amp! Thank you!
I just played one of these in a guitar shop yesterday, taking my Marshall DSL100 in for repair. I don't know if it was the cabinet they had it plugged into, but it sounded nothing like this amp. Probably no EQ or delay on it. But it had a lot of gain. I'm thinking of taking on my pedal board with me when I go back and hooking it up properly to see what it can really do. Then I might buy it.
Hi Rabea, awsome tones I love it!I'm really interesting on the cabinets and I want to know what speakers do you use?And if you care about it?Sorry for my bad English and thanks.

I'm realy interested in buying one but there's no Victory dealer around where I live so I'd like to collect some opinions before buying one since I only use OD/distortion in front of my Marshall Mini Silver Jubilee Head
Automatic sell for me if they can get a true 2 channel with separate eq. 1 would be "pushed fender cleans", 2 would be the same EVH 5150 high gain they already have on 2. As it stands even the 3 o'clock gain on 1 is too overdriven. Cool sound, but more head room for a proper clean channel would be ideal. Don't need 2 overdrive channels Edit: oh man The Captain confirms the "Super Kraken" ua-cam.com/video/dsiUcPKqQzQ/v-deo.html
Bea! Loving my Kraken! Greetings from South Africa \m/ 3 questions if you find the time to respond: 1) Bass focus- do you leave it on/off all the time, or do you go back and forth depending on cab/venue/guitar? 2) Do you use any boosts in front of the Kraken on a regular basis? 3) My Kraken has quite a hummy preamp at higher gain- way more than a 6505. Do you find this is the same with yours? I have to run my Decimator in the loop or it is quite overpowering between songs. That said, I have my gain around 2 o clock- maybe I just play lighter than you? I have a Duncan Distortion in the bridge though, that should be plenty hot!
As always great playing. Which tunings did you use on the three guitars? I'm currently using a wet dry wet rig with a Victory The Earl V50, a Mesa mark V and a Mesa Lone star.
