- This animated short was incredible!! We learned so much about her backstory and got a better understanding of her character. The hype for her just skyrocketed after this! This was the first animated short I've seen from genshin and now ill need to watch the other ones... amazing job!

Where did the name Arlecchino come from: All Harbingers get renamed. Scaramouche for example was not Scaramouche but Kukuninushi. All the names from from Commedia dell'arte. Knave and Wanderer are just general cover titles.
Her curse, it is not confirmed yet, probably will be in 4.6, but we met a character much like Arlecchino called Cater in the narzissenkreuz world quests. It's possible she was experimented on and is cursed with 'Churlification' skin turns black slowly gets markings, and you gain the ability to change your form.
Ohhhh that makes a ton of sense, thank you so much for explaining that! I knew they gave her the name The Knave but wasn't sure if they renamed her arlecchino too or she got that later.
