      My guess is that it would foam up too much, just like liquid detergent. The manual says to use powder only. You can try...and just scoop out all the suds if it doesn't work!

    Thank you so much! I hated ordering something and sitting here with buyers remorse before it comes on the 13th lol. But this video definitely helped! Do you think I can permanently connect the water hose? In your other video you said it's similar to a garden hose. I'm wondering if I could put a v tap on my washer line considering I can't put it next to my sink.

      Thanks! Yes, you could do that pretty easily...you may need a visit to the hardware store, but what you're describing would work!

    You're probably not checking this any more, but my mom just bought one used (they only used it once), and it leaks from the bottom pannel, where the electronics are. Have you had this issue? Do you have any suggestions for a fix or investigation?

    • @Mr.Handy-ish
      @Mr.Handy-ish  Рік тому

      Sounds like a great find IF a fix can be made! We have not had any leaking issues (knocked on some wood). I'm curious now about that panel and how everything is sealed up, but know enough to leave mine alone. Lol. Suggest that if it barely leaks and it otherwise works...maybe it could be used with a tray under it??? Next level would be some actual investigation. See if a specific part of a seal can be found where it is leaking. Perhaps a hose is not attached right? Replace or adjust a clamp? Maybe put some water in and find a plastic seam is cracked or opened up? Good luck looking for the culprit...if it can be found and plugged up, your mom may have stumbled on a cool machine with some life left in it! If you are or know someone with the heart of a tinker fairy, this might be a fun little project best case...or worst case it's discovered that it's beyond repair or repair would be too costly or impossible. Maybe Google to see if there is a common thing causing a leak on it...if you haven't already. Maybe someone else will see your question and know?? 🤞 Best of luck!

      @@Mr.Handy-ish I figured out the problem. Theres a crack on the bottom of the machine, under the spinny thing. I'll either try to fix it, or my mom will return it. Maybe we'll be able to get a decent retroactive discount.

    • @Mr.Handy-ish
      @Mr.Handy-ish  Рік тому

      Maybe! Glad you at least found the problem. They have some decent plastic epoxies out there...if it's easy enough to get to...you'd rough it up along the crack almost v-notching the crack...then fill it in.

      10.5" plates would need silverware tray removed, and/or load plates at a greater angle.

    Ive only been able to successfully run this thing twice. I tried to run the short cycle and the ding ding comes on, and no matter how much water I add it won't start. so then I go to the eco (59 minute) cycle which is a little better. so...do I need to add water before or after I start the cycle? thanks

    • @Mr.Handy-ish
      @Mr.Handy-ish  2 роки тому

      Fill the water all the way before starting it. That's all the water it'll need to finish eco mode. That's the mode we use.

    Hi, I bought mine in January 2022 and love it. Recently (August 2022) it stopped spinning after it filled and I get an e7 error, any suggestions on how to fix this? I tried to go through wal mart and they said they only have a 30 day guarantee and tried the company dgi products said they can’t and won’t help. Any suggestions to get it running as it was an awesome time saver and wal mart won’t stand behind their products and offer help. Thanks

    • @Mr.Handy-ish
      @Mr.Handy-ish  Рік тому

      The times my arms have stopped spinning it was caused by a blockage. You may have already done this, but removing the arms, and cleaning out any food debris may do the trick...perhaps even submerging them in hydrogen peroxide...on the low end...or draino on the high end. So far I've unclogged them manually with picks and water only. Good luck!! If It's not a clog...perhaps a pump went out 😔 Let us know how it goes!

      @@Mr.Handy-ish thanks, I’ve cleaned the arms a few times and it’s not this time. It’s running after it’s filled so I think it’s a pump, any suggestions how to check. I did let it run its entire cycle once and the end said error e7, which says no pressure in book

      Unfortunately, you're beyond my experience on this model! If it's a pump, you're into unknown territory for me. I would do a bit more research if I were you...See if there is any way to repair or replace parts?? Let us know what you discover, if you don't mind! May help others...and me, too! I feel for ya. I'm not an appliance repairman, but if it saves your investment, and it would otherwise be junk anyway?? I'd start to disassemble...clean, and reassemble. Maybe hard water?? CLR might help clear a clog? Maybe put some draino in the tank and let it soak?? Again, good luck, friend!

      @@monicae67 YES! Still going strong. We run a capful of CLR as a cleaning load every month or two to keep deposits and any built-up gunk out, but honestly, it's lower maintenance than our last full size machine.

      I could record one if you'd like! It works really well, though. I've been washing tomatoes and peppers from the garden recently. Fill the basket that comes with it, place it atop the dish holder...run cycle. That easy. Make sure to use cold water, lol. Respond to this if you'd like me to make another video for using with produce basket.
