Honestly, great concept but I wish it had been a little more clear. Like why would the man chase after the sister if he’s trying to get his laboring wife to a hospital? Wouldn’t it be the other way around, where the sister chases the man? How did the newborn baby not die in the crash? What did the random gift scene have to do with the crash? Lots of questions that probably won’t be answered

Probably because the sister (one helping with the birth) asked him to go after her. And she run off like a coward. Imagine thinking your sister is being kidnapped and your first thought is to abandon her though 💀

Well the gift triggered her to actually think of her sister in the midst of her cowardly panic, but I agree, she should've been chasing them. This is actually a repost ("throwback Thursdays") & having seen it at the original date it was posted, I remember it as the sister going back to chase after them (after the gift scene) & she subsequently causes the man to swerve off the road & hit a tree. Now that entire scene seems to have been edited out.

so she's useless as her mom said ...instead of yelling at the man while calling the police so he can explain what's wrong and get the right help she just run off and caused the accident ... for those who asked why he was after her ??'maybe her sister asked him to go after her or maybe he wanted her to know the truth after all they were far away from any hospital so her sister is the only help can get ....this short is really sad ...she will live with remorse for the rest of her life and it's not easy ... ALTER I LOVE YOUR SHORT FILMS ..
Why does it seem like two thirds of people missed the entire point of this story?
my austistic superpower is that i can usually spot the twist, and i caught it super early for this one. a bloody woman in the backseat, a panicked and also bloody dude, his yelling at the sister seemed desperate and not with malice or intimidation. it all just screamed, "that woman is in labor and needs help delivering the baby"
This short can be very confusing as some things clearly dont make any sense in "reality". But for those still confused. The guy stopped because he needed help delivering his wifes baby who was in the backseat, im assuming she was having complications in childbirth, explaining the blood. The blonde lady was a nurse, and offered help and directions to the closest hospital. Therefore she was not being kidnapped.
Hearing the other lady scream police on the phone and took off , alarmed the guy who didn't want her to think he was doing anything wrong, as im sure the sister who was offering help asked him to go after her (wrong stupid decision).
The chase ended the lives of everyone in the guys car except for the baby as they spun off the twisted road and hit a tree at high speed.
Liz's sister is a nurse, guys. There was no "kidnapping", Liz's sister was helping the man and the girl in his car deliver their baby ...then they had a terrible car crash
She ran them off the road!!!
Of course they wanted to throw us off by using a black guy, which people would automatically assume he’s doing something criminal instead of trying to help he’s woman. Lol
@@jamiejoygattono she didn’t, because the car was driving behind her. You can see that she did a U turn when she realized he was no longer behind her. She went back.. That’s when she saw the crashed car.

I think the scary part is to imagine something like this is possible. That's actually terrifying for me. It "only" becomes the sad part, when it happens.

So the man was asking for help because I assume that his wife was having a baby hence why his hands were bloody. But Lizz thought it was kidnapped. Out of panic the guy followed her to clear the air and ended up crashing killing him, his wife and her sister

Imean all I can say that the acting is really impressive and she is really good. Both of them are really good actresses and maybe the idea I mean I could. I could guess that there was a pregnant woman and this wasn’t really an abduction and there was a twist in the narrative. So I think it really impressed me so I congratulate you for this work of art.
The chick in the passenger seat is the chick that was in "wolf creek" an aussie movie about a nutcase that stalks an kills outbackers which actually was based on Ivan Millett a serial killer in Australia 😊 this chick is a good actress, watch the movie its pretty hard out.

The woman in the photo Eva’s her sijster though so I’m dxgremely confused otherwise I would have thought oh he just needed help with the delivery of his wife’s baby and was from another country so he didn’t want to ge5vdeported

I am so lost. The cars change for starters. The car that Pulled in and the sister got into was best I can tell an early 1998 Ford Falcon built thru Aug 98 and prior on the (EL) platform built for the Australian market (Not the later 1998 Falcon built from Sept 98 and forward on the (AU) platform also for the Australian market.). However the crashed vehicle is completely different. I can not tell exactly what type of car the crashed car is but it is different as can be seen in the tail lights and the wheels being nothing like each other. Was she having a flashback triggered by PTSD from something not shown? Was she actually seeing both cars in real time or was one real and the other manifested by fear or delusion brought on by something else? What were they smoking in they beginning if all of that was real? If it was something laced was her sister really with her because right before turning around she imagined her sister was sitting there and she vanished. Was it just a goof and it means nothing? If it means nothing then that nothing was the most noticeable part of the film for me and my only take away.
I normally love all these horror shorts but this is one of the rare times I am left completely baffled. If that was the goal then my hats off to you, well done. I did watch this within the first 30 minutes of its posting and waited till now almost a day after to allow time to cleanse the mind and rewatch it around 5 times each time looking at it from another angle and ignoring the car which made it harder to understand so i can't help but to feel it means something. Maybe it is all in my head, I do not know.
As an American I did love the use of the Petrol station in Elaine, victoria, Australia (not sure if that is proper town province country way of writing it) but while I have never been there I came across it some time ago while researching places outside of the USA that have a very rural USA look and feel about them so I was thrilled to see that little petrol station/ trader post used so that is a positive.
American things apart i was thinking the same...we are intrigued or just conned?

I don't think I would've driven off if I thought my sister was being kidnapped anyways. I would definitely have run up & tried to save her. This was a mess. No offense.
This whole thing left me with a bunch of questions but i think what happened was the black dudes wife was in labor thats why he had blood on his hand and the woman in the car covered in blood was the one in labor and he went up to the sister to ask for help the sister got in the car to help and they was trying to find a hospital while driving they crash all died except the baby the sister had every reason to be worried since she didnt know what was going on at first i also thought the black dude was kidnapping the girls idk
I knew the man needed help and there was not much time for any explanation, so the sister did the help emergency maybe woman was in danger delivering her baby etc and the rest well you all saw the ending.

With his pregnant wife about to give birth and a nurse ready to assist, he didn't need to drive so dangerously fast. But the real message they hope to convey is that because he was black, people will assume he had bad intentions, which of course is not always the case.
It's got nothing to do with the race. His hands were bloody and looked sus. On top of that, a woman pops up in the back seat looking scared and blood-soaked hands
Why did he chase after her in the first place? Just stay there, deliver the baby, or call for an ambulance since the driving girl could call the police. Or emergency service may connect to a doctor to give instruction on helping the wife. I know it's trying to deliver a point, but the logic is kinda weird.
I think the man wasn’t in the country legally so he was terrified of being deported and just needed help. The sister suggested they follow her so she would know it’s not a kidnapping, then they ended up in the accident

This is not Horror, at least not just Horror, but it is definitely Tragedy . That is a fucking gut punch, and calling it only "horror" is a disservice and honestly almost deceptive.

What a ending , now that's a surprise you'd never guess . Bloody brilliant fantabulous ❤❤❤❤ would love to see a lot more of these. Before I read the comments, I'm going to make a guess. I've watched to the point where she calls the cops, and he starts to drive. Number one I'm thinking he is mute, he can't speak so he takes her to the back seat of the car. Number two that's probably his girlfriend or wife in the back, and she's either hurt or, I hate to say it......about to deliver a baby. If she's about to deliver, then it's just going to add on to how heavy this is about to hit us, the viewer. Alright here we go......please at least let the baby be ok.

Very confusing! I don't get it! What is the point of this movie. You have to let the audience in on the style of the narrative. Dream sequence, play the film backwards, taking identity... Wrong spot, aliens, something...it's a short ...I shouldn't have to work so hard to understand.
To whom it may concern..... do a short film... this channel has mas talent.. something that would fit in with a date night kinda night.... at least an hour... you guys are way more than capable of doing that... it would explode......

This a typical Hollywood style movie i.e. "Take the audience for a ride". Choose a title that makes no sense. Make the actors behave unlike normal human beings. Add random scenes to appear mysterious.
