Awesome work! Kudos from Sri Lanka! As a person who is intrigued by the many similarities between the Sri Lankan and Kerala cultures, this legend comes to me as no wonder. Only here we call her "Mohini" (literally, the enchantress) who lures solo travelers at night. She's always dressed in white, dark in complexion, extremely seductive. She holds a baby in her arms, and asks unsuspecting travelers to hold the baby while she adjusts her dress. Should the poor guy try to sneak a peek while she's "adjusting" her dress, the baby turns into a log, and he is faced with Mohini's wrath who demands her baby back.
Chameera Dedduwage maybe she does this only to buddhis and hindoos. Such spirits are shit scared of us virile Muslims because we fear none other than Allah.

Simple folklore story with a non regular cliché twist at the end that makes viewer think with curiosity which actually is the point of watching a thriller story. Good job, guys.
This is fabulous. No creature which has iron in its blood can see the real face of Yakshini. Yakshas are actually gender-fluid demigods who have power of shapeshifting and hypnotism. They can also possess living creatures to use them as their mounts/vehicles. Usually a yaksha needs life-energy of young men to increase their lifespan but it can also fulfil material wishes of humans by using its Prapti Siddhi.
I m a Maharashtrian.. here in Maharashtra, there was a renowned author famous for horror and ghost stories. Known by the name Ratnakar Matkari, He too was known to give a surprise and shocking twist to the suspence at the last minute like this one... Appreciate a very good presentation of the story..👌👌👍.. this is mind blowing..
I liked the movie, good twist in the end. I read some comments after watching. At no point the Yakshi is mentioned as Yakshini. I don't know about folklore and legends of Kerala but to be there appears to be difference between the two. Enjoy the movie guys, no reason to delve into off track discussions.

Yakshini (also known as Yakshi; Yakkhini in Pali) are mythical beings of Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain mythology. Yakshini (Yakshi) is the female counterpart of the male Yaksha, and they are attendees of Kubera, the Hindu god of wealth who rules in the mythical Himalayan kingdom of Alaka. Yakshinis are often depicted as beautiful and voluptuous, with a chauri (fly-whisk) in right hand, fleshy cheeks, with wide hips, narrow waists, broad shoulders, knotted hair and exaggerated, spherical breasts. In Uddamareshvara Tantra, thirty-six Yakshinis are described, including their mantras and ritual prescriptions. A similar list of Yakshas and Yakshinis are given in the Tantraraja Tantra, where it says that these beings are givers of whatever is desired. Really enjoyed the suspense and build up to the story with the urban legend myth. It was well acted and I liked that the script had proper characters you could relate to. Better than just one-dimensional people under threat from a monster and series of jump scares.
