I've owned my AKV for about 6 months now, and Love it, it has only had 3 malfunctions Induced by me and my thumb while off hand shooting. I use the PSA Mags, and leave it by my bed, 35rd 124 grain HST's (live in an apartment) . and a shotgun.. The AKV is a great little truck gun. It's absolutely accurate out to 100y .
I almost pulled the trigger on this (I’m a big PSA fan)…but ended up buying a CMMG 9MM Banshee upper that uses the modified PMAGS for my lowers…a shooting buddy has one of these and it’s been flawless with any ammo he has used…no FTF…But that being said…a BIG thank you for an honest video (so rare these days)…the truth never hurts if someone is looking for it 👍👍👍
I mean 35 is good enough for me, that's already a good bit a weight. The only other factory standard capacity 35 rds I can think of would be the O.G. 5.56 Galils. Israel seemed to like 5 extra rds back then, the .308 export Galil had a 25 rounder.
I had a similar problem with my alg trigger that I bought as an upgrade for my rifle. All I did was a tiny bit of work with a flat file where the two surfaces meet and I never had that problem again.
they shoot, but there not good rounds, all mine showed up with corrosion spots all over the casings! for the exact price, ill stick with Barnaul, or the ZOO!
Pro tip if your trigger is not resetting then take a little file or sandpaper and file the first inside hook where it catches the trigger and resets and it will work like a charm. I’ve had to do this before and it’s safe and it fixes the problem. Look it up on UA-cam so you don’t file the wrong part.
Hi Eric, kudos for the lock for the suppressor, none of the other videos i've watched about this gun have mentioned it; i'm an old vet from Vam, i'm saving for one of these for my wife. thanks for your service!

Same with mine ive yet to have any failures with mine. I also have the alg trigger installed and no reset problems. I do know if you install them incorrectly they will have that reset issue so i kinda have a feeling this was a user error.
To lock the bolt back one handed you can reach under with your left hand, pull the bolt back with your middle finger and push the bolt catch with your thumb even with the hammer up. I do it on mine and my hands are normal sized.
They are cranking product out as fast as they can. You want they should go faster and let QC slip? I got mine a couple of months ago and about 1.5k in it's flawless. So far.
I had the reset problem with the ALG trigger I put in my AK. I polished the disconnector hook and ledge of the hammer the hook grabs. It`s been perfect since then.
Those things are a ton of fun. I recently got to shoot one that a buddy picked up and it had no malfunctions when we shot it. Trigger is awesome on it.

I was able to get one back in late July this year. Still haven't fired it... Goddamned ammo shortages. I've only got like 800 rounds of 9mm, but I'll be damned if I'm going to use more than a mag or 2 of it to get this thing zeroed until the Ameri-pocalypse is over. hahaha. Just make a bookmark of their AK-V page and check it ....a lot. That's what I did. I want to say I got mine around 9 or 10am PST. I had them all on my wishlist and never got an email, just randomly "found" one up one day and grabbed it, even though it was in OD Green (I wanted a black or maybe plum one, but I've grown to like the OD green), it had the tringle folder (which I definitely wanted). I must say the folder doesn't feel very sturdy, if you push on the lower half of the brace, the bottom "leg" bends like it's made from rubber instead of plastic/polymer. Kinda funky. Also, I'm pretty sure the thing is heavier than my 16" S&W M&P-15 Sport. Other than that, I'm sure it's going to be fun when I can actually get enough food for it. After seeing this video, I'm not sure I want to use it as my home defense weapon like I was planning on, though.

My wife was like you have 2 9mm ARs already why do you even want that kind of gun and then she saw & shot it and said "I get it now" it did take them a while but they knocked it out the park. I only have the standard PSA mags but I've never had one malfunction with it and we've shot everything but aluminum ammo. I read bad reviews on that drum so I didn't try it. Its only a range / blast to shoot gun and not really a tactical weapon in my opinion but everyone at the range wants to shoot it lol !!

I have to really slingshot the hell out of the bolt to have any certainty of the first round seating, and even then it is not 100% certain. This has happened 5-6 times in the first 100 rounds. I will continue to test and see if it breaks in, but it has not been very reassuring so far. Honest review. Thanks

It's not the trigger. It's the bolt not traveling far enough back to engage the hammer into the sear correctly. Also the bolt travel issue is causing most of the failure to eject problems. It's not a firearm you would want to defend yourself with. That's why I own the KR9. 9×19. Battle proven ! 🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲

Cant wait to run mine
It's not the trigger. It's the bolt not traveling far enough back to engage the hammer into the sear correctly. Also the bolt travel issue is causing most of the failure to eject problems. It's not a firearm you would want to defend yourself with. That's why I own the KR9. 9×19. Battle proven ! 🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲
Damn this is badass
Good looking piece 😎
