Fun fact: Peacekeepers do more damage the closer they are to the target. Conscripts' molotov is best used alongside their AK.

Things you forgot to test:
1. Peacekeepers and imperial warriors can also use their special abilities to clean up garrisons, but you only showed how conscripts can do so. People that aren’t familiar with this game would think only conscripts (thus only Soviets) can clean up garrisons.
2. You didn’t show how peacekeepers can deal bonus damage when they closer to the target. During the tests you did on peacekeepers, they were all shooting from their max range.
The allies and Japanese troops dies when.... Killing infantries inside building??
i think he/she just wanna show the ability, not how to use it properly. This is comparison, not tutorial
There's also splash damage for Peacekeepers, if two or more targets rush one and you aim for the back soldier you do damage to the front ones too. You briefly see this at 12:32 when the guy from the power plant is killed in the center row.
How can Peacekeeper and warriors clean up the garrison??
@@jskim6335 Select their secondary ability, riot shield and katana and click the building that is occupied by the enemy, they rush in trading themselves for clearing the building.
it's important to know . 4 Imperial = 6 Conscript = 3 Peacekeepers.

Yeah, and from my expirience Conscripts are the anti-infantry unit, that can`t really fight infantry, at least economic-wise.

When the peacekeepers using their special ability, they aren't tougher, they just change their armor type. If you use anti-tank unit like the javelin soldier, it's a bit more effective against shielded peacekeeper

@@jeremyg2236 The idea is likely that a more agile Peaceleeper can dodge the molotov, While a shielded Peacekeeper is simply too slow to even react to it.
Because in the game the shield is a structural position! molotov is an anti garrison tool! According to this plan, conscripts are stronger, especially in urban battles

Why don’t you showcase all of the weapons a Hammer tank can leech. Not gonna lie it’s actually quite funny seeing a Hammer tank with a personal bomber drone stolen from an Aircraft carrier and unlike the carrier the drone doesn’t even come back to the Hammer tank to relaod

Thang Nguyen to be honest most of these way i found out experimenting is because I tend to do challenges in the campaign on the harder difficulty if possible like...beat soviet campaign with infantry or my favorite was Hammer tank challenge which made me try out different weapons for them and i realized Hammer tanks with leeched Hydrofoil guns are broken as shit against air and melts them faster then anything I’ve seen with just a few

Imperial warriors are my favorites though, imho they have the best price/efficiency.
I really like how reliable their main weapon is.

It would be cool if the Peacekeeper had a baton melee attack as well, or maybe use a side arms with their shield.

In some of the tests you should have use Conscripts with special ability.
How to do comparison yourself?
Play Red Alert 3 (Uprising) with bots from different factions. (Remember your protocols depends on what faction you started. So I do this 3 times with different faction) Then capture their MCV or destroy their MCV and capture their armor factory/ naval production line. But leave the last enemy one power plant/ any unattacking building.
I recommend doing it like this.
If you play as allies/japan, get the Japanese/Alllies MCV, then destroy all of their building, then attack the Soviets, leave their reactor intact.
If you play as the Soviets, cap the Japanese MCV, kill them. Then attack the allies, cap their MCV, leave the Allies Power plant
Why? Because the Soviet reactor only take 2x2 grid (allies 2x3) instead of the Japanese 3x3 grid. And also if you kill both of them the game will end anyway.
So smart.

Peacekeepers may not be the most cost effective but a successful Peacekeeper and Javelin Rush is always a pain to deal with. A swarm of buckshot is nothing short of devastating.
True. The best way to beat them is either an ambush with scouts (dogs/bears) or Imperial Warriors with Banzai from the flanks.
If you are the Soviets, train 1 or 2 Combat Engineers and build the bunker in a distance the are in range each other.
Garrison with conscripts (10) and the can decimate wave after wave.
This only work with the AI, human players follow the old school: armor rush with tanks.
What do you mean “not cost effective”??
-Best anti-infantry unit out of all factions.
-Counters dogs/bears with both it's basic attacks and special ability.
-Shields are super OP for tier 1 spammable unit, you can quite literally counter commandos with them and face tank base defense + tesla troopers like nothing.
-Damage scales with distance, effectively making it also anti- structure unit.
-Things that *should* counter them, like Sickles and Thengus practically become useless when facing proper micro.
Oh, and BTW the Allies are the only faction with all time access to healing source as well, making infantry actually worth it in the long run, as opposed to heafty one time investment with 99% casualty rate.
Some side things to note,
Peacekeepers, and Warriors can clear buildings, but it's a 1-1 trade from that I've seen (conscripts are better at clearing buildings, since their weapon works more like the garrison clear weapons in Tib War/Kane's Wrath where it kills all in a single hit (aside from the Soviet Combat Engineer's buildable bunkers), not to mention they don't have to banzai the building like the Warriors or make themselves (more) vulnerable to being crushed by vehicles like the Peacekeepers).
Peacekeepers have an AoE-Cone effect on their shotguns (during the building demo tests you could see some of the units die "randomly"), and deal more damage the closer they get.
Warrior's Katanas only give them an instant kill and often makes them easier to kill in normal situations and if your going to Banzai something into the enemy and you don't need a building cleared your better served by Steel Ronin in Uprising or King Oni in Vanilla, since they actually have the health to try a rush, but Ronin are the more cost effective option.
Conscripts using Molotovs paired with Flak Troopers using mines can be pretty scary for vehicles (Conscripts constant damage paired with the relatively heavy damage of the mines the Flak Troopers use can add up pretty quickly even against the Heavies (Assault Destroyer, Future Tank, Apocalypse Tank & King Oni), given the right circumstances).

Iirc peacekeeper and warrior kill 1.5 if two enter 3 ennemies die. Conscripts need two molotov hits to kill 1 infantry.
Please when you do compare units doing dmg, put their alt attacks as another test lane. It helps make comparations much better.

Apparently a Japanese Sailor Fuku can blunt a Plasma Katana more than any military outfit/armor.
I think it's her psychic power weakening the cut but the warrior proves too full of might to fully stop. she almost dies to one hit.

The shotgun they use is a Grummand 88 pump action which it makes they use pump action for low powered riot ammo.

These tests could work better if you used the map editor to create a test map with enemy/neutral units on it, especially if it involves units that deal reduced or zero damage to friendly units. Plus, you can reliably setup scenarios to demonstrate the abilities of units.
They might say Conscripts are weak. But for me, they're the best infantry in the game.

The Soviets never had a weak weapon. AK47 is still a very powerful machine, and in the game it is the power of the weapon in the conscript is greatly reduced.

conscript is literally a meat shield that need to train load of them to actually deal damage because of cheap price
I use them mostly on rush (1-1) but the best use is defense...on bunkers of course.
Train a Combat Engineer and build a bunker from were your enemies will approach, garrison 2-3 conscripts with Flaks and enjoy.

GI cause the deployed machine gun is sicko powerful even against tanks and they are actual soldiers not just police force. Also strong in garrisions.
@@TheValentineEnemy i agree but the peacekeepers are actually tough frontline military forces . The peacekeepers are more tactical than the GI . The only advantage that make the GI better is the deploying tactical move . But my style of play choose the special forces (the peacekeepers )

Conscript in Ra2 are amazing for their price. Huge damage against anything when garrisoning, good overall damage against infantries, tanks and buildings alike, trade. Better armor and hp allows them survive 2 shot from prism towers while other basic infantries can only survive 1 shot. This makes them trade well against prism tower. Easy to mass allows soviet to have more ways to counter master mind

@@kirbi4266 tbf for infantry the price is much more significant. A peacekeeper costs 2 times more than a conscript so the peacekeeper should be much stronger than a conscript. Also according to the wiki both ifv and bullfrog have the same price - 900 credits. If you go with the pre patch prices then 100 credit difference is only 12.5% more so the difference wouldn't be very much.

I honestly think original RA3 balance was more or less ok, not the trash they turned it into in the Uprising. But the infantry... man, this game wouldn`t know balance from borsch if it tried!
Alliance has all the best infantry in the game: the best anti-infantry and the best anti-vihicle/air, and if spammed, it`s just a hard counter to anything, save artillery and Natasha. Try to take 10 peacekeeprs with their splash and throwing head on with any infantry force, be it melee or ranged.
Soviet Teslas are fine, but their attack speed, which also bugs in some version to that very day, make them bad at dealing with even 2 Peacekeepers, costing more than 3, not to mention 7 Conscripts who reap it to shreads in seconds, losing only 1 model. They have Devastators in Uprising, which bends the balance right over the other side, creating a unit, that can destroy entire bases with no loses if squaded in quantity of 5-6 models. But as I said - fuck Uprising.
The point is, Soviets are known and rennown for their tanks, Twinblades and Bullfrogs builts - and I think it`s because they can`t really effectively fight with infantry. Teslas are just too expensive to mass and too fragile to hold any real fire, like they die from one Shinobi shuriken, really? Conscripts are a joke besides clearing garrisons, and Flaks are rather weak against both air and land vehicles.
But hey, take heart comrades, at least we have the best tanks, helicopers and bombers in the game! )
Not quite.
Soviet's infantry main issue is they are micro intensive. You just need to attack move as a group forward with peacekeepers, and often don't even need to. Conscripts need to have a few swap to molotov and space out properly to avoid crushing and splash damage. Flak troopers need to swap out to mines to take tanks out well, javelins dont.
Also allied ground and air is powerfull too, it is just allied air and ground is the opposite: they're the more skill-requiring units generally except for hammer tank.
@@no3ironman11100 Fair point, but the problem stands, let me explain. Red Alert as well as any Command and Conquer game that is has no population limit, save for heroes, naturally, which inclines towards more casual massive armies` gameplay.
Simply put, you make some of this, some of that, then add a bit of air, ice it over with couple of vessels and go have fun.
Other RTS like Warcraft 3 or Dawn of War forced you to calculate and micro, since you always had army limits you had to adhere to - plus the fact that units are produced longer, cost more and can`t be replced swiftly.
In other words - mess up the composition and you get wasted with little to no chance of comeback (there are exceptions, but they`re just that). In Red Alert or, say, Generals you can`t micro effectively simply due to massive quantities of your troops and the rock-paper-scisors system, where hard counters pretty much insta kill their prey.
So this leads to specific builds, where you simply never see Soviet infantry against Alliance - just bears or drones for recon, Sicles, Hammers and Twinblades, i late game also Migs and Kirovs, but not often.
