    I have a similar outfit although I went with a bone rod .I used that new atomic line 12lb with a diameter of 6lb.cant wait to use on bass .

    • @yep.fishing
      @yep.fishing Рік тому +1

      Yea the atomic line is crazy thin. I'd be interested in testing the breaking strain. Its crazy low diameter

    I have a Shimano Stile on a Zamaki Zing 7foot and love the extra length, hated BFS fishing with the usual short rod but the extra length is great.

    Good stuff Dan! I’m glad to finally see you enjoying BFS, it’s a great way to fish heavy structure with light lures, you’ll get addicted haha!!
    How good is that little stretch of creek hey? It was well worth all the effort to get the yak in there!! 💪🏼💪🏼 It will explode in spring!!
    And I’m sure all the current effort exploring new systems will translate in a few more little honey holes like this for this coming season 😉

    Did you deliberately do that dimensional sound thing between 13:15 and 13:20???? I'm on my phone with corded ear buds and it sounds pretty cool and could be used for awesome context n content. Kind of like coming from a different angle as in speaking as a 3rd person. I'm a headcase who listens to D8 music to sleep or zone out. Was weird and cool.

      @waynemee8920 Рік тому

      @@yep.fishing I'm on a Samsung S9 and cheap Skull Candy wired buds and it is very noticeable that the sound becomes dimensional for around 5 seconds. It's like there's a tack on bit that sounds like it's in the background of my left ear.

      @@yep.fishing wish I could share what I get. It's very D8ish and cool. Can you sense the sound movement in D8? Or am I wired differently 😲?

    Awesome video mate. The finesse fishing with a baicaster, especially on topwater looks like awesome fun. Are you using 8 strand braid on the reel? I find that with my 4 strand I get random birdsnests that aren't related to the lure hitting the water... They tend to happen while casting and the lure is still mid air. The line lay looks fine and there's no tangles on the spool. I'm considering swapping it to 8 strand.

    • @dang.fishing
      @dang.fishing  Рік тому +1

      It is addictive! Yep it’s 8 strand :)

    • @yep.fishing
      @yep.fishing Рік тому +1

      The most popular BFS braid is a 4 strand. The Veritas bait finesse PE. What 4x are you using? Maybe it's not got a coating?

    • @charliehansfishing
      @charliehansfishing Рік тому

      @@yep.fishing 4 strand Diawa J Braid. It's 20lb though. I am asking in the context of baitcasters generally not just for BFS.
