Elites were designed to be a challenging enemy while the spartans were supposed to take a backseat role and let the player be the badass. The elites obviously had the superior AI because theyre designed to fight against actual players
@@gabesterwitz9054 That only happened because the Spartans had armor lock and generally superior weapons (AI's wielding the needler or needle rifle can't supercombine, plasma pistol without overcharging it is no match for a magnum, rockets and grenade launchers can kill in a direct hit and have way more splash damage than fuel rods and concussion rifles, etc.).
During at least one of the fights when swords/shotguns were allowed, I even saw some of the elites take advantage of that and just waiting right next to armor-locking spartans and then just clapping them with their sword. ngl, it was pretty funny to see that. For an example: 11:23, look at the bottom right-ish. An elite with its sword out runs towards a spartan that then armor locks, and it just waits out the armor lock before slashing the spartan to death. Only to watch another spartan armor lock before just walking up to them and killing them too.

Those bastards can survive plasma grenade sticks on Legendary if they're Ultras or Zealots...WITH THEIR SHIELDS STILL INTACT. I dunno if I'd call them smarter but they require batshit crazy amounts of pepper to kill, to the point that you might just run out of ammo first against groups even if most of your shots are on-target. This is most noticeable in cramped levels like Cairo Station, where it was pretty much Noob Combo or die, especially while repulsing the boarders early into the level. It isn't even a matter of skill, you just didn't have enough ammo to win most of those engagements. Plus your own shielding and health is paper mache and the Covies were laser-accurate with their fire and would shoot at your last visible point as you ventured behind cover, keeping you suppressed, just in case everything else wasn't already sadistic enough.
+Ruisu actually amour lock for a sucky AI is a disadvantage XD, cause when you come out of amour lock, the enemy shoots you (high rate of fire, low reload speed)
The only reason why elites are so stupid in halo 4 is because Halo 4 was pushing the limits of the Xbox 360 so far that they had to sacrifice enemy ai for split screen. They had no other choice
ThePilleroflightning They were bullet sponges to be sure, but if you kept a plasma weapon on you like someone should you should be fine. But you couldn't take even take 4/5 plasma bolts from a Elites plasma rifle in Halo 2, and have I told you of the hell known as Ultra elites and Jackel snipers?
the Spartan IV's rely on their GEN 2 armor for most of their abilities. they are not augmented at all like the previous generations. without armor, a Spartan II would beat a Spartan III and either a Spartan II or III would beat a Spartan IV in a fight.
Apple Lysol lol no every generation of Spartan gets cheaper and more numerous every time. The only disadvantage the Spartan IIIs had compared to the IIs was Armour and Experience but the Spartan IIIs were meant to be a sort of mass produced version of the IIs but on a considerably small level compared to the IVs, so a II and III have a fair fight the IVs however are even worse then the IIIs not that they're weaker (although they still are) but are considerably less efficient then the previous generations. Yeah that tracking thing was so unfair lol. Fuel rod guns track too when your allies use it in Reach. The Elites would have swept those explosive rounds if they had tracking fuel rods (And they still managed to win the last round despite the disadvantages).
Yeah the spartan AI in halo reach was made to stay back and be scenic whilst you play the campaign whilst the elites were made to be enemies, it would be cool to see them with actual spartan like abilities, because these elites would have their arses handed to them on a shiny platter
+The True Gamerz Dynamite but either way Spartans have higher health possibly the only ones that can armour lock, what would be cool is if odst's and various vehicles, vs Spartans, but yeh outnumbering would even them out

Spartan III's operate great and are epic Soldiers. Even if they're supposed to be expendable, you gotta imagine how badass you gotta be to fight in the front lines knowing that they will most likely die. They were built to exterminate threats efficiently and possibly die in the process. They have nothing to lose and are prepared to meet Death face to face. They are dead men and women walking. Great fight here! awesome video. I'd have to say the elites had a clear advantage in this fight. They moved far too quickly, dodging fire, running out to pepper in some shots then running back, dodging melees. In reach the elites are just far too fast. In comparison, the Spartan III's looked slow, only reacting when near death and missing opportunities. The elites worked as a team, while the Spartan III's fought as individuals, heading for cover below the bridge or behind the rocks on the cliff. Splitting their forces into individuals or groups of 2's allowing the teamwork of the elites to make short work of them with minimal casualties. Only when the Spartan III's had significantly greater firepower did they win the weapons matchups. (And that epic 1v1 clutch by the rocket Spartan) I'd like to see a rematch of this in open fields. I feel like the Spartan IIIs would fair better, but still ultimately fall to the far superior speed and agility of the elites. The Spartan IIIs had their moment in the squad battles. They actually used good teamwork then (accidental or planned, I'm figuring accidental based on previous battles). The Spartans in the front distracted the elites, with the help of armor lock, were able to keep the elites focused on them while spartans with rockets and long range weapons were able to mow down the distracted elites. Only with high numbers, were the elites able to prevail again due to their sword units being able to reach the spartan line and slice through them while the other elites were practically bullet sponges allowing them to gain ground and rush the Spartans. Once again, epic battle. So much fun, keep up the great work. I still think you should give my halo 3 squad tournament idea a try!! that would be cool :)
Spartans were way to cheap in this. I mean armor lock Armor lock Armor lock Armor lock Armor lock Armor lock Armor lock What kind of bullshit is that? Elites won. The end.
+QuantumFrost Well not exactly no. The elites religious fervor many times would stop them from being extremely successful like that 1v1. Instead of waiting for his shields to recharge the Officer just went for the kill because OF THE POWER OF RELIGION!
Those mixed equipment fights near the end were definatly the best, the ai seems to work better when they have a proper fire team setup rather than a single unit typeX5.
The Elites probably would have swept the group rounds if the rocket launcher spartans hadn't been in the front. Gave them a first strike advantage and then the rest of the round was dependent on them missing it or else half the elites would automatically be dead. Fuel rod elites weren't in front so they had to survive long enough to get out from behind their own guys so they could start shooting too, but by then it was usually too late.
Hey dude, i wanna know how do you do that but on halo 4. Could you tell me please? I'll really apreciate that. Because i want to play against the IA but in Ragnarok's map or Longbow's map
I really liked this battle. The AIs do use terrain in their favor to take cover and avoid enemy fire, as well as recharge shields. They do use armor lock too much but it helps them at least.
I have a AI battle I want to see to answer a question. I want to see what a squad of 6 ODSTs in Halo 3 is worth in each enemy type. As in, how many grunts does it take to make victory a coin toss, same then with jackals, drones, etc. I would also like it if we saw the difference in performance between a team all armed to match the weapon being used by the enemy unit compared to a team using the weapons of the Halo 3: ODST team. That being, assault rifle, silent smg, silent magnum, rocket launcher, spartan laser, sniper rifle; against the same groups of each enemy type that matched the first team.
i wonder how ur ai spawning works, mostly about the strength of them, is there somekind of difficulty system? Becauss it seems that its set on legendary for the spartans they got their asses kicked
GameCheat13 , can you apply Halo3's soldier AI to Halo reach's soldier AI? because i think halo reach's AI always doesn't seen to care about someone shooting at them
Thanks to gamcheat. Now we know Our good ol friends, the Elites Destroy Spartan 3s in the long run. Thing is 50 dead Elites is a nibble of their Huge army compared to 50 Spartans which is a huge loss for the UNSC

really cool to see how the Elite Ai in this game worked together and used cover efficiently in order to maximize how long they could stay in the fight
It would be so fun to be in the middle of battle, where everything is chaotic.
10:39 Look at the spartan behind the sword elite at the middle of the screen and don't stop following him.
BOOM double assassination!
Funny how the elites act in teams and the Spartans are lone wolfs
Grandes los SPARTANIII !.
10:08 was a nice makeshift battering ram on that Launcher's part.
LOL Those rocket troopers at the end were earning their pay check.
That's some pretty good Projectile avoidance on the Spartans' part, especially without any evade animations.
Hey dude, i wanna know how do you do that but on halo 4. Could you tell me please? I'll really apreciate that. Because i want to play against the IA but in Ragnarok's map or Longbow's map
Who else was cheering for the elites?
the Spartan at 3:16 thou. he thought that he was gonna live hahaha^-^
That 1v1, proved that...Spartans Never Die.
I really liked this battle. The AIs do use terrain in their favor to take cover and avoid enemy fire, as well as recharge shields.
They do use armor lock too much but it helps them at least.
holy shit the elites dodge and weave like crazy
Nice vid man keep up the good work
i have cliffside. it works but the only thing i can do with ai is spawn and go inside them.. how are you making it like playground?
12:34 for a fraction of a second, you can see a spartan from the bridge wig out, and bounce between the rocks, and fly offscreen XD
That sword elite at 11:08 lol. Just walks through the crowd and gets nailed!
gamecheat try to do some commentary like a soccer commentator it would be a lot more entertaining and funny
Stfu bitch do not tell him how to run his channel
+Martin Franco shhhhh, you're lowering the IQ of the whole channel. that wasn't necessary. Go away
+Martin Franco Jesus Christ, it was a suggestion.
Martin Franco Chiiiiilll, he was just giving a suggestion, all of that was not necessary
+Garrett Perry lol yea right you 40yr old virgin.
dude ur almost at 69000 you got to do something ! celebrate
I'm assuming that these mods and game are running on Xbox, how many NPCs can be on screen at once?
cause elites are fkin terrifying in Reach! edit: the spartans actually kicked some ass, so proud
game cheat can u tell me how u make it so u can make so many people like that like how do u get the mod or what evs?
All this sniper has given me an idea. Gamecheat13 should do UNSC snipers vs covenant snipers.
9:30 "The fuel rods, so much, so fast...it's glorious!"
reach has the best elites
How do you spawn in AI because my friend does it but he won't tell me and what console
Do you use?
sangheili for the win
Well this will be interesting
He should do something like this for the division
13:51 Look at the bottom spartan X'D
[gets meleed] Ok m8 [drops his weapon] waaaait OH SHIT I'M DEAD [drops to the ground]
i wonder how ur ai spawning works, mostly about the strength of them, is there somekind of difficulty system? Becauss it seems that its set on legendary for the spartans they got their asses kicked
1 elite with crappiest boom gun ever vs 3 spartans with op abilities and spartain lasers = barely ded
What mod is it?
is there anywhere/way to download this mod and the ones for 2 and 3?
wait, on the starting rounds, what did you do?
Ah yes slll's being cheep as always, halo reach elites are badass af change my mind
how do i install your space phantom save and profile?
