    I like this “David whining”
I had this thought a while ago. Because David seems to oscillate between his human, base emotions, and revelatory prophecy. In one place he says the wicked shall not stand, and shortly after that all flesh will worship God.
He is obviously writing down his humanity, alongside Gods divine revelation. So it won’t do to take only the places where he says the wicked are damned.. that’s what DAVID wants, but he was after Gods own heart, and so God progressively reveals his heart to David.
When God says “my ways are higher than your ways” in Isaiah, it is in juxtaposition to mankind’s nature. He contrasts the way that WE are, with the way HE is. He is saying that He is forgiving, will freely pardon, whereas mankind is vindictive. Beautiful.
How much people would gain if the only read the darn book! They always seem to stop reading just before it gets good. “Gods ways are higher than our ways”. What can this mean, but that God is BETTER than we are? Take all the very human problems; judgmentalism, vindictiveness, selfishness etc. God is saying “I’m not like you”. Amazing.
