- Martha Argerich plays Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Op. 37, conducted by Claudio Abbado.
0:07 - Allegro con brio
16:12 - Largo
26:32 - Rondo Allegro
This must be from those years when her virtuosity, even for her standards, was at a peak! She changed from there to now, and of course not for worse or better... what I can say and what I remeber most vividly from those years that the virtuosity on the stage was frightening, just unbelievable... all those difficult left hand passages from this concerto were played with utmost easy and unbelievable facility! It was a miracle between her and the piano! On the live performance in Buenos Aires we still see that (2004) total control of the piano, unbelievable!
Martha, thanks for this Beethoven's concert. Is pure magic!! I love you and this concert.
Here we have the gifted Martha Argerich at piano with the great Claudio Abbado, one of the Conductors she played more with. A fab pianist when playing some of the best Romantic Repertoire, Argerich give us real Masterwork renditions. You can find them in the Yellow Label (DG) catalogue, that cimented her fame. But one can also find her outstanding EMI late recording of the Beethoven Ghost Piano Trio, ranking among the best accounts of this work. I can't help but agreeing with so many, also, about her unforgettable Decca Live recording of the Rachmaninoff Third Piano Concert. For maybe only through her playing here, I went in getting catched, by this haunting Masterwork. In this valuable Beethoven uploading one can hear her beatiful and distinctive piano. Thanks again and Happy Birthday, MA. The Music Lover0's Piano Legend. 🆒💜❤️😇✌️
I can't believe this performance is from this world, seriously.
music is my house, beethoven is my roommate. always.
Me too !🤗
...and Bach the caretaker
you have better powers of imagination than Schubert... ;)
Deux talents hors du commun au service du génie musical.
Superb,un cuplu muzical extraordinar! Martha Argerich imbina tot ce este mai frumos in muzica ,virtuozitate, delicatete, maiestrie, intr-un cuvant ,desavarsire!!Pianul sub degetele ei are rezonante divine,o frumusete care iti taie respiratia!!! Silvia Baciu.

Whawww Abbado e Argerich braviiiii! Splendido! 💕
Pura magia quella sera a Ferrara.
Siempre una grande❤ es la mejor pianista del mundo❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Es que se sabe los conciertos de memoria; creo que algunas veces sabia mas que el director
