I would like to use this as a replacement For an audio interface, on a Mac, for my daw, which would also allow it to be a daw controller. Can you address that as well?
You did not answer the delay compensation question. When using the standard plugins/FX in the wing, does the wing have the ability to handle the potential latency issues associated with using heavy dsp processing.
@@NeonPLotus all the x32/m32 mixers could be used as sound cards and DAW controllers, though your mileage may vary depending on DAW. I've been able to use them as 32 channel I/O to Tracks Live, Ableton, and Reason. So this new mixer shouldn't be any different in that regard, if not better.
@@gregwhite6811 the x32/m32 mixers have manual 'delay compensation' for distances to physical live PA speakers in a venue. There isn't a need for manual 'delay compensation' for internal FX within the unit, seeing as they make all the internal plugins and DSP. Kinda like using the stock plugins in a DAW, they just work. I'm guessing the Wing would be similar, as it is primarily meant for live mixing, with DAW/studio production as a secondary goal. It isn't like the 'wild west' of VSTs, there isn't third party plugins available for them (other than through an external Waves solution, for which they have a card to interface to that). There will probably be ASIO-type driver latency settings if you use it as a sound card for your PC/Mac. But not 'delay compensation' like in a DAW for dodgy/slow/poorly coded VSTs (which I think your referring to?). I hope that answers your question? I mean, I don't work for them, but, from using the other mixers I hope that is close to explaining what the Wing will do.

nice to see that behringer went from a „most hated“ to „most wanted“ company! you guys are exploding the market and our budgets 😂😂😂 awesome synths and products .......
Talking of DAW control, how many faders can you use simultaneously? Is it just 8 like the X32, or can you configure 12 or even 20 faders? More importantly If you are using the X32 as a 'soundcard' the signal goes to the DAW post-gain but pre everything else. Is the Wing like this or can you feed the DAW post EQ/dynamics (post-fader) which would then make it a very powerful recording console too. (ps I know you could configure the X32 to give 16 analogue post fader outs - but then you'd need a seperate soundcard for your computer)
Would like to see it in the studio working with Pro Tools / Logic Pro X , multi tracking bands or audio visuals for film Etc, number of AD,DA converters etc , sounds promising .
- I see that the Wing features 16 stereo busses. Does that include 4 busses for effects like the X32 for reverbs and delays? Or are those accounted for separately?
No, the aux busses are simply that. If you use Aux 16 for Reverb, you would INSERT the desired reverb onto that bus and you would set it for post-fader. The Aux bus would need to be configured as stereo and sent to the main mix or Matrix as desired. You would then use the Aux fader to control the send level to the FX. Muting the Aux would also allow the reverb and delay tails to bleed through still even though the input path is muted. There would be no need to have a return path now for the FX. The fundamental difference is that instead of controlling either the send or the return to an FX, you now only have to manipulate the feed to the FX. There is more still though...... You can place the FX level ( the actual level of the FX that we hear ) onto a custom fader and then utilize that as if it were an FX return fader. So you can utilize the mixer in a more conventional way if you wish.
For less than 4k this looks really good. Usually cheap gear, while also decent, it has that overly cheap look. This looks beautiful tho I hope there will be a black version in the version.
Hello Behringer Team, what a great new console. The wing is as the successor of the X32 a FoH Live Console (function wise). My question is, will there be a Studioversion with just Functions wich are needed in a Studio? Like dedicated Monitoring and Transport section? with a knob on every channel (above every single Fader) for plugin parameters? With mirrored name and number of the particular parameter of the plugin? I know there will be a DAW mode based on the Mackie protocol. But I think if it comes to handling and workflow, there are more things that would be important and useful. Dedicated buttons for marker, undo/redo, plugins, automation, loop, cycle, save, cancel, touch, latch, write, trim , miditrack, audiotrack, busses, Mixer on/off, inserts and so on. Cubase for example gives you in it’s control room section 4 independent sets of monitors. Each of wich can have measurement plugins if needed of a limiter or something else. Beside of that it’s possible to trim the monitors to a equal level to avoid one pair of monitors will not be louder than the other. I absolutely believe that a studio only version would be a great success. Here is why: there are controllers by different manufacturers out there but no one is in the end a really good solution to me and so many others. There are the avid ones who work fine with protools and less good with other daws. There are smaller controllers wich are just too small, too limited, breaking a good workflow and in the end are useless, because customers turn back to working just with the mouse. There are just 2 competitors out there wich would have products in a identical format. There is the S3 wich is far more expensive and works better in protools and there is the even more expensive nucleus from ssl wich also uses the mackie protocol but with a good layout for working in a studio. There is no really useful controller/console in the format of the wing for cubase, ableton, logic, digital performer, reaper or even nuendo. I know there are the larger solution like nuage or s6 and now s4 but these are all way more expensive and in the Pro/High End area. The SD cards wouldn’t be needed in a studio and the StageConn interface is more a live sound thing (very useful by the way). 4 separate main outs is not a studio thing also. But connection wise there is no need to change a lot. It’s more the layout and workflow in a studio. If there is a company who can make this happen and bring it to the world in a stunning price range than its BEHRINGER ! 😉
This looks to me like a complete game changer and looks like a really superb console. Will be looking to get one of these for the studio next year. How does this unit interface to the DAW for active controls. We would like to have our drum feeds coming into the 8 pre's on the wing and then we are looking at usingRME 2626 Firewire pre's for everything else. Can you assign the first 8 faders to control the internal pres and then the other faders to control the DAW.
- Will the Wing feature DCA Spill (pop groups)? - Also, would you be interested in some review videos for the Wing? Our channel currently has 90+ free videos for churches (many of which feature the X32), and I’m certain our audience would love to see how a Wing could be a useful upgrade for them :) -Chad
Metering ballistics? Group processing with inserts pre/post fader? Phase coherent? Block diagram? Technical data sheet? Weight? List of plugins & FX? Asked before, super matrix? Group to input? Grip>ip>grip>mains? Latency on ports & connections? Latency on plugins & FX? Rearrange processing blocks? Insert points? Internal sources/routing? FX Returns?
Can you set up the faders so that you could have 8 DCA faders on the right and if you select one of them for example drums, the faders on the left show all the members of that DCA?
I was looking for a new user interface as apparently my head wasn't wired sufficient anymore to cope with routing assigning etc. on x32 anymore. When I saw this video I thought; wow, this is it. Really like the thought behind the interface and the interface itself. Also my stagebox will not be useless after the switch. I want to be ready for take off when all Covid restrictions are lifted and think this will help me do it.
@@newrockaudioproduction8319 I watched through the live chat from the live video stream, and the question about a compact or rack version was asked several times, and Behringer refused to even acknowledge the question. What the means to me is that they don't want to say yes, because if they do, they will hurt their launch sales, because guys like you and I will just hold out for the compact version. On the flip side, if they wait, and we buy a full-sized Wing, then when they release a rack version in two years, they will sell another Wing to each of us who wanted the rack model to begin with! So long story short, yes, they are planning on a making a rack version, but it won't be released anytime soon.
The surface is big because of how the faders are set up. If you look closely, the centre section at the bottom is already rackmountable in size. It will be a while but it will come out eventually.
Right now, I use a CL5 and I need matricies that are able to bring up individual channels plus the left/right mix. I use them for hallway and internet feeds where I need the main LR for the band, then, I need to turn up individuals for speaking, videos, and background music separately to get the volume to match the band. Can I send individual channels in addition to the main LR back to a matrix to turn them up more? Thank you! Question #2, is SoundGrid built into the console or does the interface have to be external on a separate computer? You said soundgrid was "native," but what does that mean?
1. Any plans for a "rack" size version either without faders like the X32rack, or with faders like the M32r? I need compact yet still have the processing power of the WING. 2. Waves integration, does it pull the plugin information into the console and you can manipulate there or would that still be an external control? 3. Offline editor, when will that be released so we can get familiar with the OS? 4. External monitor? 5. Very interested in the stage connect options. When will those start showing up? Will that only be Behringer products or will third parties be able to create their own stage connect devices? 6. Will there be new stage racks that will have more IO than 32x16? 64x32? 48x24? etc
I have my doubts that there would be more stage racks, although it is a possibility. Between the existing AES50 stage racks that they offer with both Behringer and Midas, and there's a massive amount of Dante and Madi racks available already. I think the only new stuff will end up being that Stage Connect gear.
So basically what Behringer tried to do with this console is provide an option for Recording Studios, Stages and Radio broadcasting. If this will be half as impressive as this video says, I'm sold!
Something that I feel is lacking from the X32/M32 and now this WING console: I'd like to have at least one HDMI or DisplayPort output with a special menu in the touch interface to customize what is shown on an external monitor. Example: I'd like to have my meters page visible constantly on an external monitor while simultaneously being able to view/control FX on the touch interface. If this external display could be connected as an additional touch-enabled monitor via USB, then I could have FX interfaces, recording control, etc. on external display(s) while keeping other pages in view on the console itself.
just get a laptop, raspberry pi, or tablet n use the app, the utility menu in there is exactly what u are talking about, i have my meter page & rta fixed on 2 monitors via laptop
Terrific product. I’m an X-touch user for home - with a Focusrite interface and Logic Pro X on my Mac. I’d love to simplify this setup with a smaller version of WING. Maybe 1/2 of the size so it doesn’t take up all of my basement space. Say, a little WING for the home user.
When will BIGWING 48 Fader be released? Will wing get backplane Master and Slave Wing "joiner" super buss (linking sends & phones?) Will it get 96K support or not planned only Heritage D?
Good to see Behringer still has an actual R&D department...i was thinking they now only had a photo copy department churning out cheap copys of other manufacturers old models.
Hey! Really considering this console as an option for a possible upgrade for my church. Love the point to point routing as opposed to dealing with banks of eight. Although, I would hope to see an update in the future that would offer a parametric/dynamic eq within the channel strip with the ability to sidechain...that would set this board way over the top in my book lol
It looks amazing ! Thinking of it in my studio (as I already use X32 and XR18 live) to replace my old in-line analog console, recording direct into Logic. How can I keep using some of my favorite analog outboards (valve comps, reverb, etc.)?
Looks like a really nice mixer, but all I ever wanted was a mixer with every channel (12-24 preferred) stereo with the option to be mono. Plus the ability to record each of those channels simultaneously with or without a DAW. Add 4 aux's and Daw integration and my kids won't eat for 6 months. Tascam Model 24 has come close, but yet no cigar. Still there is a lack of stereo inputs. This is Behringer's next mixer project. This will make all the multi synths lovers happy. You will have there wallets in a stronghold! Release 8,12,16, and 24 channel versions. I'll be waiting!
Trying to compare the Midas m32, Behringer wing as well as the Allen & Heath SQ-7. Overall sound quality and workflow. Can anyone give any feedback with them?
Tyler Goswick there’s not a chance this will sound as good as the SQ series, I haven’t heard anything in the sub $10k mark sound anywhere near as good as those consoles.
We just upgraded to an SQ series and I can’t imagine anything made by behringer/Midas sounding remotely as good. It’s like we took a blanket off our speakers.
I bought a X-WSG card for my X32 and would like to know if i could use it in the Wing. And whats about the „native“ Soundgrid on the Wing? Is this an option to by later, or have i to order it that way? Thanks
Will the Wing be able to compensate for latency if I want to run a parallel plugin on a bus? For example say I wanted to do a parallel drum squash with an 1176 plugin, from what I understand the x32 doesn't really do this.
I'm glad they limited the mic pres to 8. So many consoles charge a fortune for all the pres you never use, and often you have external racks of vintage gear you'd rather use anyway. Also, I like the idea of running a CAT5 to a breakout box in the studio somewhere rather than a snake, excited to see this in the flesh one day.
Actually no to me. To me it makes no sense and is many people are still using analog snacks. Berhinger claims this to be very economical but the loop is you still have to purchase a stage box to have more channels. If berhinger put all of there so called Midas pro pres in this console would probably cost around 5k something. For both you are looking at $5,798. And to me the wing doesn’t have the quality for the price it feels flimsy and the touch screen is laggy and I think the workflow was aimed or designed in a very odd way for the average user. On top of that you still get the same sound of a m32 because well they didn’t come out for any new stagebox for the wing… so sound wise nothing new as well. I would go Allen and heath sq7 at that point. Juts my opinion
I know this is an older video, but I just gotta say the Wing is a great product. I have mixed on Yamaha Rivage & CL5, Avid SL6 & Profile & SC48, DiGiCo Quantum, Midas, HD96 Pro2 & ProX, SoundCraft VI, X/M32, Waves LV1, A&H, etc. . . the Wing really covers a lot of ground. The Channel and Matrix EQ are super flexible with some confuration changes! While I prefer other boards due to the extended features, the Wing is 5-10% of the price of my favorites. The Wing is my favorite to operate and the feature set unbelieve for the price. The only feature I really miss is I wish the Wing had direct Dante' patchable insert points at all the insert points within all the channels/mixes. I use a Wing with the Dante' Card when we are on a low-doe tour without budget for an SL632/D w/Waves. I have a Macbook Pro running SuperRack for certain FX I prefer and I record all the inputs using Pro Tools on the same computer, also providing virtual soundcheck. The way the Wing layers work is fantastic and really convenient. I am also a HUGE FAN of Mixing Station, which allows me to do a lot of walking around during the setup to tune the rig, etc. . . David from Mixing Station is Top Quality! I carry a DL251 and DL16+32 as backup. Personally I really don't hear a difference between the pres, but tough to know with all the variables from show to show.
I'd love to know what other versions will be released. For example a compact type version for smaller setups. I would hope in smaller versions that there might be more inputs given they may often be mixed side of stage. Have been researching smaller digital consoles and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of current technology. Most are 5, 6, 7 years old. I just know I'll get one of these older tech style mixers and then Behringer will release the next big thing in THAT market. Perhaps a 16 or 24.
What would be great. Is a hands on DVD library covering all aspects of operational sources. Not just geared towards musicians, but also tutorials for EDM users, hip hop beat makers using NI Maschine, and Akai MPC's (X). This is definitely the game changing hardware that will eliminate the need for big board usage. That EDM/ HIP HOP music heads want to seriously use efficiently. "Behringer... you're definitely in the driver's seat 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.
Please add a time index to this video so we can skip to different sections. +1 to all of those requesting daw integration demo. Logic / Cubase / Studio One etc. With competition offering DAW modes, showing the cohesion of your latest offering with DAW software would be marvellous.
What is the config for the output eq's for live use? The one thing that i was turned off on the x32 was the limitations on the output graphic eq per output. I ended up purchasing another brand as every output had a dedicated 31 band on it (17 outputs). Cheers.
DAW integration with most known DAWs, both PC and Mac please! Future possibilities for UAD2 Satellites too! Even ASIO to use it as soundcard! (demanding dude?😅) Looks great so far, Behringer!
Also are you going to make different versions of this mixer like the X32? I am specifically just wondering if you are going to bring out a Wing Core. I would love to talk to a product specialist or engineer to present my idea and the reason why.
Very nice and thorough controls surface and mix board. I'd like to know in use in the studio recording environment, how would I connect this in my setup to use with protools as a control surface, but still monitor through my apollo audio interface?
When is Daw support coming for studio use , I’ve got my wing today... 3200 dollar and no support at release... you guys have been pretty wage with info regarding studio/daw support , not all people buying it and meant to use it for live... how long do we have to wait to get studio support ? Otherwise I’m thinking of returning it within my 30 day period! Thankful for answers!
I want to integrate a lot of external Outboard , like MultiFX , System 500 FX, compressors etc. In the video you explain that there is a lot of flexebility witch looks awsome. is it posible to integrate my external gear also so easy? Can i use my gear as inserts like on a Analoge console. Or how many FX returns for external FX can i route to one Chanel ? I know that i use for that more external inputs witch is fine.. Last Question, will there also an I/O box /19"" with just 16 i/o non XLR Jacks or combijack XLR/Klinke?
Regarding hardware I miss any words on new outboard gear, read digital I/O rack mountable equipment of stand alone stage boxes, that include Midas Pro preamps just like in this console, and the new StageCONNECT (SC). Please make proper PowerCon sockets on these, not IEC.
Did you guys put native graphic EQs on the outputs? That seemed like quite a large oversight with the x32. Having to waste an effect bay just to get a graph on a monitor mix. Even the x-air has native graphs on the outs.
This is so close to the multitrack recorder that a lot of us older guys are looking for. Any word on any overdub or track editing capabilities for the onboard recording features?
When are al these future Stage Connect solutions (stage boxes, Personal Monitoring systems, DI boxes, breakout boxes) you spoke about introduced to market?
Behringer want to take over the world in terms of affordable audio devices / synths / outboard/ anything for the musician ... and i for one am on board the great ship Behringer ! ..you can`t knock them for their offerings vs price point .. they put the other manufactures to shame !! .. if you can get past the ( absurdly negative) Behringer moniker .. you`ll be in for a treat !! .. trust me ..this stuff is a game changer .. for you ..for me ..for everyone !!
Hello, after you mentioned to prompt ideas about "wing" in your video, I will do so. In the past I tried several ways to get in contact to the people who are developing the product, but no way worked. I'm an Audio- Pro and doing life-sound since 1979. I find your product very interesting in several ways. But there are some questions in my mind that I could find no answers for. A lot of life-stuff I do is mixing bigger groups of musician (orchestra, big-band and so on) Therefore I find it very interesting that your mixing board can handle stereo- channels. I have to notes/questions for particular applications which we are very important to me. Number one is about "delay" Because I use delays to do "runtime-paning", I have the problem that most of the digital mixing board could not, even if they have stereo-channels, put delay after a channel in direction to the buses, only post fade, with different numbers for the delay to the odd and to the even side. But that is important to do such a kind of panning. What about the "Wing", is or will it be able to do this with this mixing board. Number two is about "scenes" Because I sometimes have to deal with shows who had a lot of snapshots, I often come along with the fact to exchange just a few settings for the whole show(gain, EQ, level and so on) and just for some selected channels. What about the "Wing", is or will it be possible to do such changes for the whole show is just one click (global paste) I would appreciate you getting some answers. And if you would like to hear more from my experiences with mixing boards just contact me. Yours
I really love this console and I’m sad that it’s discontinued. though I intend to use it for a recording studio, I can’t seem to find any source explaining how or whether it can sync with DAWS like pro tools, Logic Pro and Reason.
Calrec has had 4 Main MIxes for ages. Their platform is for broadcast mixers that make simultaneous mixes - multiple mixes are what many top end clients want from a live event..
Very good overview video; Thanks! Looking for a mixer for home studio with only synths (10+) multi/stereo/mono outs and drum machines with individual outs; I understand the Wing has only 8 line inputs so I would need to buy 1x16 or 2x 16 StageConnect boxes. Correct? What about external effects? Which in and outs are they using so I can apply external effects on any channel? How many of those external stereo effects can I use? Of course also looking for DAW integration (Studio One, Cakewalk). OR is the Wing more focused to bands, live, churches...? Still searching my workflow...analog (with patch bays and re-patching) or digital mixer, what's in the box, what's out the box...
Great desk, but you need to release the scene editor, there's a scene converter from x/m 32 to Wing on the internet but it'd great to have the official software and be able to build your session from scratch before the show.
With two 32 input stageboxes, is it able to use all those 64 inputs for separate microphones each with gain/EQ etc.? I am a bit confused since i saw it advertised with 40 stereo channels.
I would really love Behringer take a shot at making a "This board is an all in one studio board"...it just appears to me, and correct me if I'm wrong here, but PreSonus, Behringer, Allen & Heath, SoundCraft...they are all about "Live board...oh, and can record so you can dump the dry tracks in your DAW to mix it up later"...I would love to see a "If you want a solution for live, this one isn't it...we did this one to put into a studio...it records, it multi-tracks, you can record 1 or all individual tracks, it plays back, it is NOT Pro-Tools or anything like any DAW...it has awesome tape simulation on each channel...it is about making a pristine sounding recording...it sounds sooo good, and is sooo good at recording and making a recording that "travels" well...the "stage" boxes for this are not "stage" boxes, because it is not made for stage...it is made for RECORDING...it is extremely rare to have to access the back of the desk...because all that is modular in 'performance room box' form...the performance room box has multiple stereo headphone jacks, XLR inputs, as well as 'line in' inputs (and anything else that would be a needed feature...like a VIDEO IN/ VIDEO OUT so you can create a Virtual Window situation for both the Engineer and the Artist...as well as a connection for a Performance Room Transport...in case you are in the studio by yourself and want to record)...It would NOT play nice with DAW...it would be made in mind to DESTROY PC and MAC DAW in regard to home based studios...hahahahahaha!!!! It would be made in mind to update based on the feedback of those who have one in regard to effects...also, you know, touch sensitive motorized faders (or MODULAR individual touch screen faders if you can cost effectively make those instead)...it can be as small as an 8 fader footprint, as big as a 32 or bigger...) anyway, I can dream, can't I?
We answered a lot of question in the live chat - if you don't see it, you can open the chat in the top right ("SHOW CHAT REPLAY" on desktop).
Can you cross fade snippets/snapshots?

nice to see that behringer went from a „most hated“ to „most wanted“ company! you guys are exploding the market and our budgets 😂😂😂 awesome synths and products .......
They go back. Have 1990's stuff that works perfectly today
I always loved them it's just the snobs that didn't.
This is awesome! So happy to see Behringer's direction!
This takes Behringer to the next level
MIDAS did that. Such a huge leap. Nice to see the next iteration look so good. The X32 is super capable, but clunky to work with.
Would like to see it in the studio working with Pro Tools / Logic Pro X , multi tracking bands or audio visuals for film Etc, number of AD,DA converters etc , sounds promising .
We would like to see DAW integration demo with Logic Pro X . Especially as surface control device
absolutely!

And reason please
Its main function is for LIVE applications....so who cares about daws...its probably not the right desk for you.
FL Studio please
Good video guys. Excited to learn more as the Wing becomes available to the public.

- Will the Wing feature delay compensation for channels or busses with Premium effects applied to them?
I hope it does.
Damn, and here I was 10 years ago using my Behringer Xenyx 1222FX, Behringer has come a long way and they’re making a name for themselves.
This changes the game totally. Amazing.
I am a HUGE fan of this and many other Behringer Products. Looking forward to purchasing this mixer!!
- I see that the Wing features 16 stereo busses. Does that include 4 busses for effects like the X32 for reverbs and delays? Or are those accounted for separately?
I follow...
Following
- Do matrices on the Wing operate like on the X32 (a mix of mixes) or more like a Yamaha (able to receive mixes and individual channels too)?
Ascension Worship - #TechTuesday haha, looking back through these, we had literally the exact same questions.
Patrick OHara Great minds... 😉
I would love to see how the Wing could be used to record and mix with Logic Pro.
Behringer has really been stepping it up lately!
Finally something for the studio!!...now PLEASE make a 500 series rack chassis with AES50 ports.
For less than 4k this looks really good.
Usually cheap gear, while also decent, it has that overly cheap look.
This looks beautiful tho I hope there will be a black version in the version.
8:26 damn that was scary moment
Its the new Behringer Ghost synth.
Bahahahaha! Yeah!
They should have played the Jaws music briefly just at that point... :D
hahahahahahahahaha
I know, right? He was totally coiling that cable over-over and and not over-under! 🙀
Wow , this is really amazing , what a powerful and intuitive console , bravo!
Our channel currently has 90+ free videos for churches (many of which feature the X32), and I’m certain our audience would love to see how a Wing could be a useful upgrade for them :)
-Chad
Ascension Worship - #TechTuesday I’m also waiting to hear about DCA spills
Oh, Drew Brashler!!!! Behringer is calling
Are the buses phases coherent and corrected when adding in an onboard plug in effect to one yet not the other.
We would love to see a demo of integration with a some of the to DAW's out logic pro x. PT. Studio one Cubase ect.
Are there any plans for allowing higher sample rate operation by reducing the channel count?
Metering ballistics?
Group processing with inserts pre/post fader?
Phase coherent?
Block diagram?
Technical data sheet?
Weight?
List of plugins & FX?
Asked before, super matrix?
Group to input?
Grip>ip>grip>mains?
Latency on ports & connections?
Latency on plugins & FX?
Rearrange processing blocks?
Insert points?
Internal sources/routing?
FX Returns?
Can you set up the faders so that you could have 8 DCA faders on the right and if you select one of them for example drums, the faders on the left show all the members of that DCA?
Pop groups would be excellent!!!
Aventis has this feature .. absolutely awesome feature .. would love to see it on the Wing
Band solo - what a great idea.
Teasing a new mixer line below X-Air. Awesome!
Is there any plan for a rack version of the Wing?
Please
Let's make a poll.. My rack has made my life so easy
Yes, after these all solds out. Lols
Behringer just keeps coming out with things that I want...is it a coincidence that this premiered the same day as the Tesla Cybertruck was announced?
We've just upgraded from the x32 compact to the wing at our local theatre. Looking forward to giving this a go 🙂
Something that I feel is lacking from the X32/M32 and now this WING console: I'd like to have at least one HDMI or DisplayPort output with a special menu in the touch interface to customize what is shown on an external monitor. Example: I'd like to have my meters page visible constantly on an external monitor while simultaneously being able to view/control FX on the touch interface. If this external display could be connected as an additional touch-enabled monitor via USB, then I could have FX interfaces, recording control, etc. on external display(s) while keeping other pages in view on the console itself.
yes, how this was overlooked is beyond me maybe they can make an ipad app, but ios has sp many new bugs each update
just get a laptop, raspberry pi, or tablet n use the app, the utility menu in there is exactly what u are talking about, i have my meter page & rta fixed on 2 monitors via laptop
@@delaytea7455Definitely.. I have multiple iPads and monitors usually. Would just be nice to have it built in is all. :)
love the interchangeable palmrest feature. very pro and awesome
The heart of my studio, my recordings, the heart of my music! - Thank you Behringer!
IKR. What power amp & recorders do you use ?
I am interested in using this desk in a recording studio with a Mac and Logic. I am ok with the recording capabilities but could I mix with it ?
Yes.
Can it be used as a stand alone multitrack recorder with no computers nor DAWs involved!? Awesome, Behringer have changed the game!
isnt that the reason it has the memory cards in the back?
Terrific product.
I’m an X-touch user for home - with a Focusrite interface and Logic Pro X on my Mac. I’d love to simplify this setup with a smaller version of WING. Maybe 1/2 of the size so it doesn’t take up all of my basement space. Say, a little WING for the home user.
Then get the x32 producer or compact. This isn't really a studio mixer, but a live mixer and it's not replacing x32
- STAGECONNECT seems incredibly interesting. Are there any specific products that you can share that will incorporate that feature in the near future?
Would like to see the wing in a concert setting. Live drums, rock guitar, and background vocals as a front of house solution
We all hope that you guys are going to prepare some advanced daw integration. Not only Mackie 8 fader protocol
Sounds like there are full dynamics everywhere, so there can be compression on FX returns too. The 5 plugins/channel sold me.
Do You recomend thi mixer electronic music production studio useas DAW controll surfacestudio mixing or only live mixing?
What would be great. Is a hands on DVD library covering all aspects of operational sources. Not just geared towards musicians, but also tutorials for EDM users, hip hop beat makers using NI Maschine, and Akai MPC's (X). This is definitely the game changing hardware that will eliminate the need for big board usage. That EDM/ HIP HOP music heads want to seriously
use efficiently. "Behringer... you're definitely in the driver's seat 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.
Awesome! Is there a Sends on Fader option for mixing Monitors from FOH?
Does it have a DCA Spill?
External touch screen compatible?
Another game changer ! Can’t wait for this one !
(demanding dude?😅)
Looks great so far, Behringer!
@@behringer Danke für die schnelle Antwort!
Also are you going to make different versions of this mixer like the X32? I am specifically just wondering if you are going to bring out a Wing Core. I would love to talk to a product specialist or engineer to present my idea and the reason why.
At what point (input or Post Fader) is the recording taken from.
Is there an ability to connect extra screens to the console? Aside from an iPad with the app.
Can you guys do a video about its DAW control functionality and features? You guys haven't really covered this yet.
Very nice and thorough controls surface and mix board. I'd like to know in use in the studio recording environment, how would I connect this in my setup to use with protools as a control surface, but still monitor through my apollo audio interface?
19:37 such sort of thing i always wanted from like 12 or 13 years old :D
Last Question, will there also an I/O box /19"" with just 16 i/o non XLR Jacks or combijack XLR/Klinke?
have the same question @BEHRINGER
Can you have a button that purchases a new synth you release?
will there be a midas version with like better faders and potis? or did you melt the x and m series together?
Not only useful, but beautiful as well.
Talking about WING or Jan and Götz?
@@behringer Wing 😊
Regarding hardware I miss any words on new outboard gear, read digital I/O rack mountable equipment of stand alone stage boxes, that include Midas Pro preamps just like in this console, and the new StageCONNECT (SC). Please make proper PowerCon sockets on these, not IEC.
Did you guys put native graphic EQs on the outputs? That seemed like quite a large oversight with the x32. Having to waste an effect bay just to get a graph on a monitor mix. Even the x-air has native graphs on the outs.
Will a wing core be coming soon ?
This is so close to the multitrack recorder that a lot of us older guys are looking for. Any word on any overdub or track editing capabilities for the onboard recording features?
It's not a DAW... just get a computer.
Hello,
after you mentioned to prompt ideas about "wing" in your video, I will do so.
In the past I tried several ways to get in contact to the people who are developing the product, but no way worked.
I'm an Audio- Pro and doing life-sound since 1979.
I find your product very interesting in several ways.
But there are some questions in my mind that I could find no answers for.
A lot of life-stuff I do is mixing bigger groups of musician (orchestra, big-band and so on)
Therefore I find it very interesting that your mixing board can handle stereo- channels.
I have to notes/questions for particular applications which we are very important to me.
Number one is about "delay"
Because I use delays to do "runtime-paning", I have the problem that most of the digital mixing board could not, even if they have stereo-channels, put delay after a channel in direction to the buses, only post fade, with different numbers for the delay to the odd and to the even side. But that is important to do such a kind of panning.
What about the "Wing", is or will it be able to do this with this mixing board.
Number two is about "scenes"
Because I sometimes have to deal with shows who had a lot of snapshots, I often come along with the fact to exchange just a few settings for the whole show(gain, EQ, level and so on) and just for some selected channels.
What about the "Wing", is or will it be possible to do such changes for the whole show is just one click (global paste)
I would appreciate you getting some answers.
Great vid guys, looks like a beast!!
- Please explain the 4 main mixes? Are the extra channels designed to be similar to the M/C bus of the X32 but in stereo? Or for a delay fill?
Calrec has had 4 Main MIxes for ages. Their platform is for broadcast mixers that make simultaneous mixes - multiple mixes are what many top end clients want from a live event..
I would say, mix 1 for mains, mix 2 for remotes, mix 2 for an extra pair of remotes or subs, mix 4 for a broadcast/video company feed?
Excited to geht one !
OR
is the Wing more focused to bands, live, churches...?
Still searching my workflow...analog (with patch bays and re-patching) or digital mixer, what's in the box, what's out the box...
Does it have touch sensitive motorised faders?
can i use this for Radio Stadio?
I love the Wing console! Will there be a compact version coming too? That would be amazing.
Isn't that already too compact?
all i need to know is does it control daw software
