    STORY:
An 83 day, 1700 kilometre canoe expedition across the seldom explored Labrador wild. Presented as a docuseries. This is episode #4 of the ASMR short version. There are 6 episodes.
At 1.4 million km², the Labrador Peninsula is one of the last great wilderness areas on the planet. In 2018 I set a goal to cross its width by canoe.
From the Labrador Sea to Hudson Bay it was an estimated 1700 kilometre journey that would last 83 days.
With only my dog Saku, I would travel, up and down remote rivers, across enormous lakes, and over portages that were littered with both beauty and danger.
We would witness and camp in wilderness that few, if any, have ever seen and rewind back to a time when life was simpler.
Along the way, I filmed our experiences. Now, in a docuseries format, we bring it to life for you, right here on UA-cam.

Saku has the best of both worlds an owner who takes great care of him and the taste of freedom most dogs don't get

Gotta love your dog. Not barking a lot is tops, then swimming, running, cuddling, and listening, in no particular order. Good job holding your temper (at least what I saw), when you lost that monster. My nephew and/or my brother (runs in the family), would have torn the boat apart until it sunk. A bit odd to be in places very few humans have seen, especially in the last hundred years. I've stepped in places I bet no one has ever stepped, and I was conscious of the fact at the time. What do you pack in your bowl? A homemade mixture works best for me. Thanks for sharing.

Justin loved the show. I'm hooked!!! The only thing that was killing me was why didn't you use a canoe pole going up stream? Here in Maine poling has been used for centuries. It would have saved you a lot of work. Can't wait to see you finished the trip, Best Wishes.

I hadn't honed it yet so I was more confident wading and tracking. Especially being so far from civilization and having a heavy load plus Saku to worry about. I have since been practising and will incorporate it into the next journey. It's a fun time. Thanks for the comment and tuning in. All the best!

Thanks Justin and Saku. Can’t get enough of Saku, even if he’s just sleeping. Couldn’t ask for a better companion to have at your side for moral support. I enjoyed this very much, but I must admit that I really enjoy listening to your narration of what’s happening and all the interesting things you know about where and what your doing. It’s a experience that I try to imagine that I’m in that same situation, but could never make it on my own. Thank you for taking me along with you and at least try to be some part of this demanding trip. You truly love this and appreciate every moment of it. Thank you and ATB.

what is that white flowery plant? it looks so soft but I bet it is the opposite. Love these ASMR versions; on a stressful work day - it is so helpful to hear this as my white noise. I will break these chains... I will. Godspeed Justin and Saku, so happy the world still has explorers and adventures such as you.

Well Justin, I've been home a week from my first canoeing trip and will be leaving tomorrow for my next, largely because of you. Thank you so much for showing me how to carpe diem. Sure wish I had Saku along with me and hope, someday to get to meet you in person. Perhaps we'll see you at theToronto Sportsman Show, Boat Show or Outdoor Adventure Show, all of which bring in speakers for seminars. Nautical Mind bookstore should be carrying your books.

Justin I honestly really miss your commentary and hearing you explain where your at emotionally and physically as well as explaining what your seeing and thinking. I guess some folks like the quiet stuff but it just feels like half the journey or something. Anyway, always dig your vids! ☮️ Wheelchair John in Idaho USA 😎

Wooohoo! I am only 14 minutes late this time on watching this video. :P
You know Justin, for future videos you could just combine the no talking portions in with the portions where your talking. It will make the overall video longer, but who cares. I think it would make the overall video more diverse.
    - The more I watch your videos and see how Saku gets all nervous when your fishing makes me think that he expects you to have him go and retrieve the fish as if it was a bird that you just shot down. He acts like he feels left out because he just sees you pulling it in and you aren't asking him to do anything (i.e. like going to retrieve it for you).
    - 17:40 - Kinda gives me flashback images of the areas up near the Arctic that are shown on the "Alone" T.V. series. lol
