The thing about Tarja.. she was always more than the front singer - she was the 5th instrument of the band. She recorded so many vocals around the melody/lyrics, and Tuomas weaved her voice into the layers of his songs, just like the guitars, keyboards and orchestra
The epic ending with the band only, the focus on that hughe wall of sound they create is one of the reasons why I love the Tarja era version. And the back and forth with the choir, Tarja's voice floating above it... It's beautiful
@@mmmonster6891 That's exactly what bothers me about Floor's version. Ghost Love Score is a SYMPHONIC METAL anthem. And now all people care about it's the money note at the end. @@Aeger136 Floor's entire vocal performance is a money shot, not just the high note at the end. Much more feeling in Floor's performance, not to mention she shows 10 times the versatility in her vocals. For me this is a watered down version vocally.
I appreciate your passion to Nightwish music (and all the history with every vocalist/musicians). Thank you very much! Have a nice musical journey with Nightwish!
Great reaction! In this version you hear all elements of the composition, Tarja keeps a restrained level throughout so as not to overshadow the rest of the elements of the song and leaves the stage so the band shines. Thanks for the reaction
Everything about Tarja is about class; the way she sings, her style, the way she carries herself, the way she connects with the audience. She is a classically trained lyrical soprano and the reason Nightwish exists as we know it. She is one the founding members of the band and has had a really nice solo career with both metal and classical music, after Nightwish. She even composed an Ave Maria herself, it is very beautiful. Tarja's voice and her aura were a little bit magical 🌟 thank you for doing this version :) i'm so happy you enjoyed it! That's a real orchestra you can hear, the same one that did the Lord of the Rings soundtrack! Pete, I know how you feel....I discovered Nightwish a little over 4 years ago at the age of 61. I've suffered from depression due to a debilitating disease. Nightwish gets me through the worst of days. Out of all of the great bands I've heard in my lifetime, Nightwish by far is my own personal favorite. No matter the singer, there are gems like this everywhere you turn! You did a great reaction here, Pete. Signed, a New Subscriber.....
Good reaction. if you want to hear the earlier stuff try the concert "From wishes to eternity". For me the best NW concert ever with Tarja at her prime.
December 29, 2000, Tampere Finland for the date of the concert. Pre Marko. As for her prime, dude that would be her solo career now. When she alone has more albums and more styles then Nightwish has even if I only count the 5 with her as NW albums. If I counted them in Tarja's collum its 15 albums. 4 live concert DVDs, 3 live specials. Countless festivals, tours, 1 Christmas album, yearly Christmas tours, an auto biography, 2 seasons as a coach on The Senior Voice Finland, her student won in 2022, her electronic music stripped down non metal side project dreamed up in 2014, called Outlanders where she teams up with world class musicians including the likes of Vernon Reed of Living Colour to record an album and visualizers as she calls the videos in Antigua, in the Bahamas. Due out at the end of January and a 10th original rock album. And of course Best of: Living the dream. Her 10th studio album featuring her favourite songs across a double Album from the last 17 years as a solo artist. Also in which time she has a family with Husband Marcello (20 years as of New Year's Eve) and.10 year old daughter Naiomi. I think we can acknowledge she has aged gracefully and protected her voice to sound as epic as ever or as soft and gentle as the song demands. Face it folks, she could sing the telephone directory and make it sound beautiful. In Finnish, English, German or Spanish. I am just so happy for her and proud for her to. She is as she said, living the dream. Everyone who has worked with tells you she is just such a kind soul. How can we not love her.
15:22 to 15:34 Tarja is known as the metal queen of the OPERA. You should literally listen to her other albums. It's mind-blowing due to her operatic techniques.
Hmnn common thought but its Chamber music a sister discipline of Opera. But clean living and proper technique means almost 25 years on since school her voice is still perfect. And her skill has only gotten even better both through finishing her masters degree and IRL. We are so lucky that is the case.
This is not Tarja version...this is the original version and at the same time close to album version. You are right that they later changed the ending...from the fading version to the end scream version which is great but also different. In this one they are quite loyal to the album version and as you see they have all the emotion in. That is naturally cause it is that time and line-up when they made this masterpiece. I do agree about this dress ... it is haunting.
It's a real pleasure for me to meet a Nightwish fan. You have my subscription, of course. I'll recommend you for continuing the exploring of "old Nightwish" a hidden gem from the Anette era, named "The Escapist". Couldn't find a good quality live recording, even there is at least one, with Anette of course. There are several fan videos with the audio track, some of them with lyrics. Greetings, from Romania!
God I love this song, especially this version, Tarja's voice always makes me tear up, there's just so much emiotion, depth, mystery and this beautiful darkness in her votce, and it's just perfect for this song, makes the song romantic and angelic yet gloomy, in my mind she's just irreplaceable
great reaction! It's not missing, it's just that there was no "high note" at the end on the original version of the album. Tarja left the stage and the rest of the band shines playing alone (apart Tarja is going to change her clothes and rest a bit, she was sick). next: slaying the dreamer same show.
Do not forget that this song was written for Tarja and about her on behalf of Tuomas. That's why he has such emotions here.. Read the text and story of their "friendship" and his unrequited love.
You pronounced Jukka perfectly 👍 "if Tuomas knew it would be crowd favourite?" - No, they didn't believe they could play it live. You should definetely explore Tarja era. End of An Era is excellent concert to go through. The whole show is really intense. So i recommend: Dark Chest Of Wonders (End of An Era).
@@oldmanpete777 EoAE from start to finish and you see the costume (and mic!) changes and all. It was a big part of Tarja's style and the fans really appreciated it.
I'll recommend her solo music and collabs. Victim of Ritual from Woodstock. Supremacy from hellfest as well as Paradise from Masters of Rock (collab with Within Temptation). Demons in you from Wacken with Allisa White-Gluz. Crimson Deep and I Walk Alone from Beauty and the Beats concert. Forgot to mention also Ave Maria duet with Marko. Her only time reuniting with anyone from the band, save her friend Floor
I don’t know why I didn’t comment on this one before. Sorry I’m so late. This is the 1st GLS I heard because I came on thru Tarja only about 10 months ago. I loved it and it’s still my fav. It’s more epic all the way thru with the choir. I like Floor’s too. They’re different and I do like that she made it her own. My preference usually goes with the song, but there are quite a few where I don’t really have a fav, they’re all great. This band is very special, I feel the same. I enjoy your reactions, Pete. You’re a genuine guy and I’m sorry I didn’t find you sooner.
Hi! Like for many Nightwish fans, for me this song is my favorite of band's entire discography. This song is so unusual, majestic and perfect that it makes no sense to change anything about it. But unlike many fans of band (mostly new ones) my favorite version of this song is Tarja's version (studio and live). Probably because I've been with this band since 1999 and I really liked these Finnish guys and it's still my favorite band. I don't get tired of listening to them unlike many others. Now some facts about song itself. This song sounds like the soundtrack to an epic movie (I would recommend you also listen to the album and instrumental version of GLS) and seems very challenging for a composer. But surprisingly it was very easy for Tuomas. "This song was one of easiest to create," Tuomas says. "I like long, epic pieces because they are born as if by themselves, at same time, I find it very difficult to create a four-minute hit that manages to sound equally interesting on repeated listens as well. It is relatively easy to create a big piece - you can mix different tonalities, the song can be as long as you want it to be, and it doesn't have to make any sense. Main rule is that everything has to be smooth. Making things like that is very relaxing. All you have to do is just follow flow of your own mind." Floor also said that her favorite thing to sing live is GLS, and for Tarja it was one of her favorite songs. "Live, Ghost Love Score is absolutely wonderful," Tarja enthused. "What I haven't done with it. This song is very multifaceted, so I sang it sometimes tenderly and other times majestically. It's a wonderful, uplifting song. There's a dark part where I have a chance to get offstage and let the music take me away. It's not easiest song to listen to, but if you close your eyes and really listen, you'll find yourself somewhere else. Ghost Love Score was particularly deeply affecting for older people." For a long time, band was convinced that it was impossible to play "Ghost Love Score" on stage, and the song wasn't premiered live until September 21, 2004 at Club Nosturi in Helsinki. "We were very skeptical because we questioned whether it was a worthy endeavor to do a live version of a song so dependent on an orchestral backing track," Marco says. "I mean, we'd have to go behind the amps for two minutes! On the other hand, Stolt would have had plenty of time to work his magic at the lighting console, so why not?"
Thank you for all of this great information. This is one of the reasons I get so sad that more people don’t react to this version. I know there are plenty of Tarja fans who would really appreciate it and I find lovely little tidbits like this in the comment section. I haven’t known about Nightwish for very long, but I just fell in love with this version. I love Floor’s too, but the epic symphonic sound of this one just hits some kind of place I didn’t even know was there. Thanks again ❤
@@vanessalore9942 Thanks so much! If you haven't listened to album version, make sure you do. It has an even better sounding orchestra and choir than live versions. It's in this version that you can understand Tuomas' original idea and emotional message. This version has more sadness, melancholy and tenderness at same time. Floor's version is more positive, it clearly expresses hope for better, unlike Tuomas' original idea.
Wow. OK girl with the long dark hair was hella cute. 😂. one point mentioning Tuomas and Emppu as Founders. Tarja was #3. Sammi & Jukka came in after. I love the operatic style she fills out the soundscape with. It spoils me to any other weak sauce version. Go heavy or go home I guess. Tarja is loved by everyone who knows her. And that is because she stays humble. Her weakness is her heart. Not wanting conflict can mean letting people take advantage. Wonderful thing about men. We want to protect the women we love. We stand up for them. Establish boundaries and allow them to find peace. From Tarja's interviews. Her Q & A's I suspect she is the rarest personality type out there. The INFJ. Her learning skills being logarithmic they climb slowly at first and then shoot up like a rocket. Her ability with language, music, style, well just amazing. Well being so nice. So positive and encouraging. That she comes to life on stage. Takes hours mentally and physically. Ditto with coming back down. The mental energy used is immense. But boy oh boy does it yield results. I count myself among the Winterstorm. Fans world wide who just love her to bits.❤❤
Tarja plays the pauses quite a bit more in this song than Floor does. I like the haunting sound sound that Tarja has in this song compared to Floor. And the main reason Tarja leaves at the end is for costume changes which I have never seen Floor do in her shows.
True. And also Tarja, the so called Diva, always gives the guys some time to play. And I think some forget Tuomas arranges the song with the vocalist fitting to his choices. Finally I never get the “I love Floor so I gotta diss the OG”. NW is a diff band now in many ways. Diff is taste tats all.
Regardless of an individual's preference of Lead Singer, as a different commenter wisely said: Tarja was speaking in spiritual tongues during this performance that night.
Actually they had decided to do one more album then take time for solo projects That was well known. The split itself was going to come. The method sucked. Then again same with Sammy. Same with Annette. Thomas is a great guy but really bad with breakups.
Lovely reaction! I also cannot help but mouth the chorus along 😄 it's so good!! and I also love the moment between Emppu and Tarja.. they always interacted the most on stage, they're both very goofy and seem to have been close, too.. lots of sweet pictures and interactions between them 🌹 can I recommend an underrated gem? Beauty of the Beast live in Amsterdam. I feel like you might really like this one, too, it's very similar to GLS with its multi-chaptered storytelling and beautiful instrumentation. and it's never been peformed again after Tarja left: ua-cam.com/video/XPzwYa3SDkg/v-deo.html The studio version is much clearer and you can hear the music better there, and I would warmly recommend it as well, but Nightwish live is... incomparable❣
@@oldmanpete777There' two Nightwish songs with a very similar name, Beauty AND the Beast (from their very first album actually! Tuomas sings 😅) and Beauty OF the Beast. I love both very much! Tuomas was once asked why he uses those words so much and he said (paraphrasing): I like to play with symbols.. when there's two different sides of everything. Also it's a Nightwish thing where there's one beauty and four beasts in the band. Also it's one of the best movies I ever saw." Tarja was sitting right next to him when he said this and she seemed very flustered 😄 it was sweet The link leads to Beauty Of the Beast, but both are wonderful performances. Thank you so much!! I would be really excited to see you react to either of those songs! :) Take care! :)

@@oldmanpete777 Nightwish in the Tarja era was a bit more darker, more nostalgic, due to the one of kind combination between Tarja's voice and Tuomas 's writing, in my opinion. You should check out Ocean Soul, The beauty of the beast, Forever yours, The Siren (live End of an Era), White Night Fantasy (a very underrated song in my opinion), there are so many.
I love Tarja and her contribution to Nightwish. Ther are songs where Floor has never bettered. Songs there Floors versions are different from but equal to Tarja. But GLS is Floor’s Floor’s Floor’s if only for the ending, Floor plus ‘the note’ as opposed to choir and Tarja simply walking off.
Floor..with All her Multi-talented Vocal Skills turned up the Intensity on Nightwish songs with her ability of Interpretations. I much prefer FLOOR and.... Nightwish became even more popular with Floor. Not opinion, Facts.💯
@user-kf8wb2cq4f totally agree. Tarja was planning to leave anyway and Once was a good pinnacle to leave on. Annette was very good, in her way, and gave Tuomas opportunities to explore. Dark passion play to get tarja out of his system and imaginaerum, which , in my view, is the best NW album. But, with Floor he got a singer who can do anything but also a singer who is 'one of the lads' and appears in total harmony with Thomas, that the 'star' is the music, not any individual.
All hale the REAL TRUE QUEEN 👑 of Nightwish and of ALL FEMALE SYMPHONIC METAL SINGERS!!!!!!!!, the very beautiful looking and very unique voice of the enchanting TARJA!!!!!!!😀👍👍👍👍🤘
Not even close.. She should stick to classical.. If Floor had been the founding member, and later replaced by Tarja it would have been the death of Nightwish..
@@ChristianSander1969 Nightwish was so limited in what they could do having Tarja as the singer. As soon as they got Floor, all the restraints were gone and they could now do whatever they want.
@@ChristianSander1969 If Floor was a founding member, they would have stayed a folk band. Toumas changed the sound of NW specifically bc of Tarja’s voice. Nice fry though.
Let me start out by saying I saw Nightwish live a little while before Tarja was dismissed from the band, and am rather partial to their earlier work and style. That said, I don't think Tarja's voice is as good as Floor's objectively (Floor has a better range, and seems more comfortable with a wider range of styles), but Tarja's voice has an appealing and more dark quality to it which especially in the earlier years of Nightwish was a very good match. Also, her style and stage presence are rather special. Floor brings her own style, which is a bit more light-hearted, and she has a certain positivity. That is probably a better match for them nowadays.
Tarja's technique uses a lower and more spacious configuration, making the lower part of her voice much better and being able to hit 6th octave notes in a more healthy manner. Floor is more comfortable in high range because she uses more twang, overtones and a thinner vocal track, she doesn't need as much muscle and energy to do these notes, but it is not as healthy for the chords. In their famous Phantom of the Opera performance you can see how she (Tarja) is letting out a fully resonant E6 with sustain and vibrato, her body was tense as she was using her muscles to keep the diaphragmatic support on. And this is just early days Tarja when she had bigger flaws in her technique (Less agile voice, not as good with full voice) and clearly wasn't as good as current day Floor. This is not about which one was better, just commenting about the differences
Floor's Vocal Skills and Multi-talented Interpretive abilities are superior to Tarja's. This drives old school NW fans crazy BUT it's true. NIGHTWISH is more popular than ever before with Floor Jansen. Facts.💯
@@PhilAlumb Blahblahblah. The only thing which is kindof annoying is newbie fans like you who have to turn this into some kind of silly competition. Grow up.
I think it was written as a softer, more beautiful, happy song, far from being a song for vocal showoff and oversinging, in which the lead singer is just a part of the song, not THE most important part. The colors of the timbre are darker, richer and colder, fitting the name of the band (Nightwish) and the song. As you said it is ''symphonic''. The harmonies are one of my favorite things about that era of Nightwish... no ... the entire history of the band. I don't know if it is just me being subjective, but I am unable to appreciate the Wacken version as much as the instruments are a bit muted and not as diversified and the vocals are not as dark, rich... It is more ''Rock'' than ''symphonic metal''... Which means that it is actually better for most people as it is more familiar and powerful. I guess this would explain why Nightwish is much more popular and mainstream than it was with Anette and Tarja.
Tarja sang GHOST in her limited, classical Jaunty style. She did only one thing vocally. Still does. Tarja can't "show off" Vocally because she Doesn't have the Vocal Abilities.
@@PhilAlumb Her singing style wasn't limited even back then, she showcased her ability for more chesty high belts (Slaying the dreamer) and fully supported and resonated notes with perfect vibrato in the middle of the 6th octave. She simply did not oversang in Ghost. Her ''classical style'' allows more space in her vocal track, limiting the wearing of her chords to a minimum, she probably will be able to sing in her 70s if she wants to, in an age when the vast majority of singers can't sing anymore since decades.
@@rpoutine3271... Tarja's voice is already changing. She cannot hit the High Notes effortlessly (example..Tarja recent Phantom stage performances..her Highs are "pinched"). FLOOR uses a number of singing styles to create a Mood and Emotion...sometimes Ethereal..sometimes Rock Queen...sometimes Classical...sometimes Pop. And Floor's English enunciation is superior. Also, her Vibrato is smooth and unimpinged--Not warbly. FLOOR captures the Listener's imagination. I simply find her Voice brighter and more feminine and touching. INEVITABLY.. All singers Voices Change with age. AS WE ALL DO. I appreciate what They do NOW.
@@PhilAlumb Tarja is still easily ''hitting'' (She actually does more than just ''hitting'' those notes) her 6th octave and she is even better than before. Her high aren't pinched. These aren't singing styles and emotions aren't technical. The English language doesn't matter in one's vocal technique Floor's vibrato is contemporary and is sign of a technique that allows less space in the vocal track. Tarja's vibrato isn't warbly. Floor's vocal technique isn't more feminine, her voice is brighter because she is a rock singer, this brightness isn't necesserely a good thing.
Her Voice is very warbly-throaty in the classical vibrato style. And her pronunciation of words is Not clear. The energy is Jaunty and not intense..... Comparisons can be tough But Tarja Didn't sing this Definitively.
This might sound controversial, but to me, in those days, Tarja was 'just' the singer with Nightwish, whereas, nowadays Floor is not only the 'singer in the band', but the frontperson, the personality, the focus of Nightwish. That is not to take away the massive songwriting talent, and the musical genius that is Tuomas, he is always there, overseeing the band, and the pride he has with his band Nightwish shines just as brightly now as when they started out with Tarja.
Always do Wacken 2013 with FloorJansen first. Always. Tarja sings like she is trying to catch up to the musicians and she walks away during the last two minutes while Floor goes stratospheric. There is no comparison. Floor is not of this world.
It's your opinion, mine is totally different, but I'm not going to underestimate Floor like you do with Tarja, each one has her own style and I will never understand why to highlight what we like there is the need to underestimate what others like . This "obsolete" version, as you say, was written with TARJA's vocal qualities in mind, so your assessment that Floor's version is "infinitely" better, although respectable, is highly debatable to say the least, although many of the Nightwish fans From those years we think that there will never be anyone like Tarja, with all my respect and admiration for Anette and Floor. From the discrepancy a cordial greeting.
@@ACGmusic0117 No she can't. She can sing very well, of course, and she's one of the best singers I've ever heard. But she can't sing exactly like her. If she could then certain songs would sound better when she sang them, like Slaying the Dreamer. With her version I can't listen to it. Because Tarja's version is noticeably different and it's because of the way they both sing differently.
I just can't... I am sure Tarja is a good singer with a good voice, but she just doesn't fit Nightwish.. Can't understand hlaf the words, and she's just dragging them way too long..
"she just doesn't fit Nightwish" her, Tuomas and Emppu MADE Nightwish, when she was barely 19 yrs old too. If she hadn't been a classical singer Tuomas would have stuck with his acoustic folk band plan, and would we all be here then is the real question. 😉
The most stupid shit I have heard in years! Have fun with your littlre friend and some Floor Posters! If someone has no clue, he should shut the fck up... is a german saying which applies to you perfectly!
Art is very subjective but Tarja not only fits Nightwish, we could say she made Nightwish. It very truthfully wouldn't have become what it became as a band if it wasn't for her. These songs are her songs! Floor is a truly great singer and she does wonders with most of the older Nightwish songs, but with some of them, even Floor can't do them very well. Realize that Nightwish wouldn't exist if she wasn't their first singer. And that goes for Floor too, if she instead was their first singer, we still wouldn't have Nightwish as we know it. If we actually ever would know it.
The original Nightwish doesn't fit Nightwish? lol, she is 85% of the reason Nightwish became a thing to begin with. I get that Floor is amazing and a lot more of a metal singer and she appeals a lot more to the average metalhead but Jesus.
The thing about Tarja.. she was always more than the front singer - she was the 5th instrument of the band. She recorded so many vocals around the melody/lyrics, and Tuomas weaved her voice into the layers of his songs, just like the guitars, keyboards and orchestra
Tarja sings like an angel
The epic ending with the band only, the focus on that hughe wall of sound they create is one of the reasons why I love the Tarja era version. And the back and forth with the choir, Tarja's voice floating above it... It's beautiful
epic ending melody with strings much more emotional than Floor sings high notes

That's a real orchestra you can hear, the same one that did the Lord of the Rings soundtrack! And Tarja was doing a lot of the harmonies herself which is why it sounds so natural and full :)
For suggestions for older stuff... Deep Silent Complete (From Wishes to Eternity), The Siren (End of an Era), Beauty and the Beast feat. Tony Kakko (From Wishes to Eternity), End of All Hope (Summer Breeze 2002)
I'll check it out!
*From wishes to eternity is the name of the concert :)
@@OathKeeper95 yes. You're right. Thanks.
Oh i love this original version.. Tarja.. Queen of symphonic metal ❤
Floor is a singer, Tarja is Goddess !
Wacken 13 GLS steals heats and souls. This is just a song.
@pyrothoth3333 Agree 100%
"The Escapist" haven't heard of it, but I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks for the suggestion.
I didn't know that. Thanks for the information. I'll be sure to listen to the studio version as well.
Do not forget that this song was written for Tarja and about her on behalf of Tuomas. That's why he has such emotions here.. Read the text and story of their "friendship" and his unrequited love.
I wasn't aware of that. Thank you for the comment.
@@oldmanpete777...research what TUOMAS says about Floor Jansen's sing and His Music.💯
You pronounced Jukka perfectly 👍
"if Tuomas knew it would be crowd favourite?" - No, they didn't believe they could play it live.
You should definetely explore Tarja era. End of An Era is excellent concert to go through. The whole show is really intense.
So i recommend: Dark Chest Of Wonders (End of An Era).
Thanks for commenting. Dark Chest of Wonders is a great song. I'd definitely like to hear the End of An Era version. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@oldmanpete777 EoAE from start to finish and you see the costume (and mic!) changes and all. It was a big part of Tarja's style and the fans really appreciated it.
Do also not forget the great influence of the contribution from the London Symphonic Orchestra in a lot of the Nightwish songs which made them epic.
Good point. I agree.
Can't say I've listen to Tarja's solo work. But I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Thanks for the comment.
All you have to do is just follow flow of your own mind."
Floor also said that her favorite thing to sing live is GLS, and for Tarja it was one of her favorite songs. Ghost Love Score was particularly deeply affecting for older people."
For a long time, band was convinced that it was impossible to play "Ghost Love Score" on stage, and the song wasn't premiered live until September 21, 2004 at Club Nosturi in Helsinki.
@@alexr8817 I have the Once album so I’ve listened to it many times. This song is a masterpiece and I never get tired of it.
I hear warbly, classical singing.
@@PhilAlumb That's called vibrato. But since you've listened to shitty Pop music all your life, you don't know all voices naturally have that.
this is real nightwish !
She made them famous and then they trough her out. I’m happy she has a great solo career. She’s phenomenal! ❤️
Tarja made it clear+-she was Not willing to Tour anymore in the Future AND wanted a Solo Career so....They let her go. Tarja is Not a Victim.
Actually they had decided to do one more album then take time for solo projects That was well known. The split itself was going to come. The method sucked. Then again same with Sammy. Same with Annette. Thomas is a great guy but really bad with breakups.
Lovely reaction! I also cannot help but mouth the chorus along 😄 it's so good!! and I also love the moment between Emppu and Tarja.. they always interacted the most on stage, they're both very goofy and seem to have been close, too.. lots of sweet pictures and interactions between them 🌹
can I recommend an underrated gem? Beauty of the Beast live in Amsterdam. I feel like you might really like this one, too, it's very similar to GLS with its multi-chaptered storytelling and beautiful instrumentation. and it's never been peformed again after Tarja left:
ua-cam.com/video/XPzwYa3SDkg/v-deo.html
The studio version is much clearer and you can hear the music better there, and I would warmly recommend it as well, but Nightwish live is... incomparable❣
I didn't know they did a Beauty and the Beast song. Sound interesting. I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks for the suggestion.
Also it's one of the best movies I ever saw." Tarja was sitting right next to him when he said this and she seemed very flustered 😄 it was sweet
The link leads to Beauty Of the Beast, but both are wonderful performances. Thank you so much!! I would be really excited to see you react to either of those songs! :) Take care! :)
The original seems to be the best and this song really confirms that.👌👌👌

I would add anything from End of an Era as well. Heck pretty much every live performance from Tarja has been a delight to my eats. NW or solo
Agree with both. There is my new remastered AI enhanced FullHD version of FWTE at Remastercide channel, and I have planned to upload that piece by piece on my own channel too. New AI enhanced EoE video is coming in few days...or maybe a week or so. And a lot of other stuff as well, like a new version of Norway 2003.
I also noticed that I really love anything from the Amsterdam 2002 concert... masterpiece Beauty of the Beast, Deep Silent Complete with the crowd singing along, 10th Man Down where Tarja seems to have had so much fun on stage... the energy must have been great that night! thank you so so much NighwishArena for remastering the songs!!! ♡

Hi nice reaction
Thank you so much 😊
I have to say that its not the same band after Tarja left!🇫🇮
FEAT. Tarja rsr
If you start Floor's and Tarja's gls at the same time, you will be surprised.
Great suggestion. I'll try that!
Well said. Thank you for the comment.
Back choir tarja sing... That's why when floor sing.... Not back choir..
Floor's singing was so Powerful and Spectacular she DIDN'T need a loud Choir. Tarja was more tame and needed the support.
Grow up.
@@c128stuff...No. It's OLD SCHOOL FANS who make Everything a "competition." You thought Tarja couldn't be replaced----Yet she was. Accept it! 💯
@@PhilAlumb And yet, it is YOU who is trying to turn this into some competition right here.
Grow up and get a life.
The English language doesn't matter in one's vocal technique
Floor's vibrato is contemporary and is sign of a technique that allows less space in the vocal track. Tarja's vibrato isn't warbly.
Floor's vocal technique isn't more feminine, her voice is brighter because she is a rock singer, this brightness isn't necesserely a good thing.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜❤️🧡💛 ❤️
Traja was the 5. instrument...big difference
Floor... ❤
Tarja ❤️
Floor is good but Tarja is the real queen of nightwish!!
Always do Wacken 2013 with FloorJansen first. Always. Tarja sings like she is trying to catch up to the musicians and she walks away during the last two minutes while Floor goes stratospheric. There is no comparison. Floor is not of this world.
No... its a coverwish
This is the obsolete version of the song. Floors version is infinitely better.
Floor's ending is infinitely better, but still no one sings it like Tarja.
@@jimmyboy131 Floor can sing like Tarja if she wanted to. She just doesn't want to copy anyone.

Tarja didn't sing until the end, where Floor sang the high note at the end, Floor is better, I love her a lot
Because the ending part didn't exist back then.
Floor is a great singer but Tarja is goddess from symphonyc metal
Because the original version is with Tarja and the original song doesn't have the final note, it has the choir, band and the orchestra playing.
I just can't... I am sure Tarja is a good singer with a good voice, but she just doesn't fit Nightwish.. Can't understand hlaf the words, and she's just dragging them way too long..
how exactly? if they're written about Tarja, with Tarja in the band? ;)
