Fun Fact: Leo is actually a tuatara, which aren't lizards, but similar looking reptiles native to New Zealand. Given that they're a protected species, I'm not sure how a grade school in Florida got them, or how there's a bunch in the Everglades, but hey, it's an animated movie, so sure. And like in the movie, they can live a little over 100 years.

My 8th grade history teacher was my favorite. Shout out to Mrs Christensen. I was an awkward, adhd kid going through rough things at home. I was so happy and interested in class because of her so she chose me to be her T.A. in 9th grade. She was the best. She introduced me to music and classic movies, but most all she just accepted me and was excited to see me and hear me talk about something I loved

My sister and I just watched this last weekend! We also commented on it being a musical but then realized they were actually kinda funny and built on the plot... we were also impressed how each kid and their parent were formed from a general stereotype and felt like ANY kid could see a similarity and hopefully take away a teachable moment ❤

Favorite foods in school 🎒: homemade barbecue 🤤 chicken with mash potatoes 😋 green beans, barbecue beans your choose or dirty rice/mexican rice/cornbread 😅 and ribs. In okd school we had the oldest grandmas from each family come 🫴🏼 and work at the cafeteria ☺️ for lunchtime 😀. And pizza 🍕 day slap so hard you couldnt get thirds,you barely could get second. You had your chooses in salad 🥗 without or with dressing. And Wednesday and fridays were fried fish🍤 🐠/fried chicken 🍗 or fried turkey 🦃 meals. We had vegan and vegetarian 🤯 meals too so No one child wAS LEFT OUT!!

She was my English teacher and would read stories with us, tell us about her husband as the gov spy, and gave us snacks and stuffed animals once a month. I missed her when she had to leave (apparently her husband really was a spy🤔🫨) but yeah very nice teacher super caring and mother-like to all of us, funny because she said she didn't want any kids because of science fair projects😂

One food I remember loving in elementary school was “walking tacos”. They gave each kid a small bag of Fritos, and taco ingredients (ground beef, cheese and corn) were put in the bags. That way the whole thing was in one place. Once you mixed it all together it was basically nachos in a bag. I remember how fun eating it was. Trying to get Frito chips onto those little plastic forks was a challenge that all of us loved. It was messy and tasty.

my favorite teacher growing up was a woman named miss stewart because when i was younger i used to struggle with keeping control of my actions and rather than just send me to the office or call my mom she'd try her best to understand where i was coming from and took the time to find solutions i hope she's doing well and i wish i showed her more appreciation when i had the chance
4th grade was my fav teacher because he was understanding and really good at explaining so at the end of the year I cried on the last day❤

Miss tuck. I got hit by a car that year and got very insecure when i got done woth crutches. She was so lovely made extra time to try and get me to go outside at recess get out of the library and stop crying. Extra art projects and letting me use unused classrooms to do so. My favorite teacher was probably my health teacher in 7th grade. I had just moved from Hawaii to Washington and it was a genuine culture shock. So he just really helped me
36:31 favourite teacher ever is Mr.Burke my 10-12 vocal music and grade 11 drama teacher, he understood that we had passions in these classes and for the art forms that we were learning about but it shouldn’t all be about the learning because there’s also fun with them, he gave us options and choices or one of my favourite things he did if he knew one of us really liked an artist like I was really in the Queen at the time he would go what’s a really upbeat Queen song that you think we could do really well and we’d all learn it🥺
My great 12 year was probably the best because we had so many people that also played different instruments so the vocal music class turned into its own little ensemble band Mr. Burke was on guitar one of the girls in the class played piano and sung one of the guys played drums and one of the other guys was on base and the rest of us sung and since it was my last year he always gave first choice of solos and he gave me the music award and most dedicated to the arts at graduation🥺

I generally havent seen this movie by its self mostly like reactions to it so i dont have the movie in its entirety to say anything about it but it does look kinda interesting
I thought this was such a good kid's movie. My teachers throughout my school years had a variety of class pets, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, parakeet, parrot, tarantulas, and a naked mole rat. One of my favorite teachers was my chemistry teacher from my Junior year in high school! She always made chemistry fun and did cool experiments like when she lit a lighter in a plastic water container, that was awesome! Then she ended up being one of my college professors and I took a few of her ag classes.

3:33 honestly same, i didn't go to kindergarten but my mom home schooled me a little above an average kindergartner, so first and second grade were easy As for me, but at third grade i got an exam where i that i didn't know 2 answers ( they were 7*9 and 6*7) and I start crying in the middle of the exam for 2 points ( that i actually got yay) but since then i took my studies seriously, and then i got bullied at 5th grade and knew i needed to work on my personality too

I remember for sometimes on our Friday pizza days, they'd serve us Chuck E. Cheese pizza. we'd get personal sized purple and red/orange box with Chuck E's face all over

My school had two meals I really liked. We had nacho days, where they would give us chips, nacho cheese, chicken or beef, and you could LOUD them up with lettuce, sour cream, jalapeños etc. and they would also have breakfast for lunch and it would be the best string French toast sticks with some sausage 😂😫😫
