I've seen a lot of foreigners at this year's carnival, people come here to see the landscapes, meet people, try food and enjoy a party, that's what every Brazilian knows how to do!! Heyyy brazilian here, you should've come to Carnaval (held in february)!!! It's fine tho. Definitely go to other places apart from Rio, like the northeast of the country, it's amazing!!!
37:24 It takes all night (12hrs+) for like 4 days straight. We have a lot of different "escolas de samba" (schools of samba), each one has 60-70 minutos to have their own parede with the theme they choosed/created. After all the schools are finished, they are judged on different categories based on how well went the parede, and in the end a school is crowned the carnaval queen of its state. We have like 3 days of party throughout the country (it depends, it can be 7 cause some places it starts before Rio), the last day being a holiday, and kinda of the day after too.

Yes, I had some pet birds, Daisy and Charlie, but they passed away years ago. I miss them, but they will fly free forever now. Also, this movie helped me pass my FAA exam for pilot training with the thrust, lift, drag, weight bit lol. Only a few more weeks until I have my license 😎🛩️
There are SO MANY reasons why I love this movie! The music is filled with bangers, samba and South American culture really is my favorite (and apart of my dad’s heritage). Also, the animation is beautiful! It’s so slept on. And it’s a comfort movie for me

Rio is such an infectious film that can make you get up to sing and dance. Director Carlos Saldana gave us a glimpse of his Brazilian roots and native home with interesting characters and songs that make for a great animated flick! Stars Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway gave such wonderful performances as the leading birds!

Heyyy brazilian here, you should've come to Carnaval (held in february)!!! It's fine tho. Definitely go to other places apart from Rio, like the northeast of the country, it's amazing!!!

37:24 It takes all night (12hrs+) for like 4 days straight. We have a lot of different "escolas de samba" (schools of samba), each one has 60-70 minutos to have their own parede with the theme they choosed/created. After all the schools are finished, they are judged on different categories based on how well went the parede, and in the end a school is crowned the carnaval queen of its state.
We have like 3 days of party throughout the country (it depends, it can be 7 cause some places it starts before Rio), the last day being a holiday, and kinda of the day after too.

There are SO MANY reasons why I love this movie! The music is filled with bangers, samba and South American culture really is my favorite (and apart of my dad’s heritage). Also, the animation is beautiful! It’s so slept on. And it’s a comfort movie for me

Brazilian here! I'm so glad you liked the movie. Even though it's full of stereotypes (nothing harmful), all Brazilians from my gen grew up watching and loving this movie. It's so rare to have Brazilian representation, so a movie that takes place in Brazil was just amazing for us at the time. And, yes! Come to brazil! I think you would love it.

Rio is literally my favourite movie
Rio is such an infectious film that can make you get up to sing and dance. Director Carlos Saldana gave us a glimpse of his Brazilian roots and native home with interesting characters and songs that make for a great animated flick! Stars Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway gave such wonderful performances as the leading birds!
