GREAT REVIEWS... Thanks for mentioning our band, it's been an honour.. There are tons of great Indonesian bands and many festivals you should check... We got the most thriving scene all over Asia, growing bigger every day.. And by the way, we love how you tried to pronounce Bahasa Indonesia with your native tongue.. SEGAN!
Segan!
Se666an!!
RAJASINGA kebanggaan urang bandung jawa barat & indonesia!
mantap lur!!!
i learn bahasa, raja singa could mean lion king or syphilis, which are you
The Indonesians are quite good at it. Greetings from Sweden!
Hi Black Hermit thank you.. How is it going in Sweden.. Love from Indonesia..
Thanks, Sweden metal scene are very good too👌👌🤘🏼🤘🏼
cheers from indonesia!
Sweden black metal jvga bagvs mbak
Thanks girl we love sweden
I lived in Indonesia for a year and tried to explore the extreme metal scene as much as I could. Here are my personnal picks:
Warmouth (Central Java) , Deadly Weapon (Central Java), Bersimba Darah (Bali)
There are a lot of other interesting bands outside of stricly Grindcore, such as Avhath (crusty atmospheric black metal from Jakarta), Jasad (brutal death from Bandung), Revenge (experimental death metal from Jakarta)
a good taste 👊
Thank you for mentioning both of my bands. Warmouth and Deadly Weapon is from Yogyakarta, which is a different province than Central Java though it is located in Central Java.
Cheers!
I recommended Hurt'em,Pure Wrath & Cloudburst
add Burgerkill and Purgatory dude

Bravo! This is by far my favourite Global Review. Obviously the subject matter means a lot to me, but this is a great look at a THRIVING scene that exists BECAUSE of all of the punks keeping it alive. Totally group up infrastructure, and each of these punks are so integral to the future of their music. Congrats!
Thanks man !
Hooray! I finally got bands I haven't heard of from one of these segments, thank you Sarah!
Indonesian grindcore, nice! Indonesia make great movies too,The Raid!
Really?
Hell yeahhhhh bro. I love that movie too!
Pls watch any sinetron xD
The raid was directed by Gareth Evan's from Welsh.. a white man..so Indonesian actors are great is what you meant?
our president is a metalhead
Earliest I've ever been to anything. It's always awesome to see these Overkill Global Album Review videos. Hearing about metal scenes around the world is fascinating and awesome.
This series is so fantastic! What a fountain of great music.
Love getting a peek into the harder to reach areas of grind. I think I know of some Indonesian bands from before, but not enough to have any sort of knowledge of the scene. This is great, so thanks!
Love these videos; can’t wait for the next Global \m/
This totally fucking rocks! Well done! EXACTLY the kind of thing I joined Patreon to support!
Haahaha, at last... This is what im waiting for thank you so much bangerTV
Sickly awesome! Thx Sarah & BangerTV! 🤘

Huge thanks to Banger TV for for the great review. We appreciate all you do for our scene here in Indonesia! Thank you for taking the time to listen and share your thoughts on our music - much love!!
I love Bangertv! You guys review some good stuff!
Great reviews! Glad that metal is flourishing well in Indonesia. Greetings from Kansas!
I left my hometown (Jakarta) back in 1987 to follow Slayer around Europe & US, then finally ended up staying permanently in US while pursuing a degree in Fine Arts (and caught Slayer gigs whenever they toured). 1991 was the last time I visited my original hometown (got 3 hometowns - Jakarta, Tilburg and Wichita). Now I'm ready to retire from work and thinking of going back to Tilburg (now it's one of metal capitals of the world too) and hopefully Jakarta, especially since I'm going to see Slayer for the last time in a couple months.. haha.. cheers to all the bands back home. Grind on!
Great segment, and 3.5 skulls for your valiant attempts to pronounce Indonesian!
So cool!!! Thanks Bager, and Thanks Sarah 👍
Awesome episode! I love Rajasinga and Noxa, and now I have several other bands to check out! Why can't more women be like you, Sarah? You're so well versed in extreme music!
i'm an Indonesian and i'm proud of our grindcore scene. thanks BangerTV!
next, please do a review for Indonesian Death Metal scene.
Thx a lot Sarah and Banger TV for review...im from Proletar, its realy nice video, and I love it, especially your pronounce indonesian language, cool ... Indonesian Grindcore is realy extreme underground movement from punk and hardcore scene, you can check all the great grindcore band in this country, they're awesome
Cheeerrrsss !!!
Thanks for watching!
Just in case anyone wants to know the meaning of some of the words in English.
(Phonetic Transcription might be bollocks, god knows how long since I've used phonetics)
Rajasinga [rɑ d͡ʒɑ sɪ ŋɑ]: Syphilis
Rakyat Jelata [ɾɑk' ɨ yɑt d͡ʒə ɭɑ ta]: Rabble/Proletariat/Peasants
Jadikan Aku Ancaman [ ɟʌ dɨ kɑɳ ɑ kʉ aɳ t͡ʃa maɳ ]: Make Me a Threat
Perang Neraka Bumi: War of Earth's Hell
Racun Kota Kapitalis: Capitalist City Poison
Will write the phonetic transcription if I feel like it.
Kirain raja singa itu Lion King...

I found out about the indonesian metal scene just this year and damn I was blown away. Great video guys, and some sweet bands mentioned!
What genre of metal you listen?
Maybe i can recommend some indonesian heavy metal band to listen
@@riloseptiannugraha4674 well, I'd heard of Goads and I like their sound but I could only find three songs by them online. Mostly I listen to death, death-grind, brutal death & slam
@@andrewiredale Listen it on Spotify. They're uploaded all song on spotify
Thank you for reviewing our Grindcore Scene, I'm from Indonesia, and i know all the bands and albums you mentioned in the video, they are great bands actually, go listen to their records and support them, thank you very much BangerTV!!

Greetings from Jakarta!
well need more of this. indonesian metal scene are awesome.
tbh, i'm not always listening to grindcore. but i know that indonesian grindcore scenes are awesome. maybe you can explore more about metal scenes at indonesia.
Wormrot is a sickening grind band from Singapore that opened my eyes to the scene in Southeast Asia. Indonesia has a lot of beauty and the people are so hospitable, but there’s definitely corruption. These guys were my favourite guests, they really live for the bands and provided great insight!
I live in Singapore and got to see Wormrot and it was easily the most fun I have ever had at a show!
corruption?
@@jihadputranuralim3774 Yes it is..
Yall know right that the first black metal band from southeast asia came from singapore, theyre as-sahar,lots of singapore metal band are pretty popular in malaysia
Fuck yes! Need to go check out more bands from this scene. Would love to tour there.
ajib... pinter nie kontent kreatornye...

Arian is the right person to spoke about the scene in Indonesia. This guy is awesome and great musical taste. One of my favorite person in Indonesian metal scene
My favorite overkill global so far. When you'll do Colombian ultrametal and death metal or American blackgaze/post black ? :D
Wanjirrrr ada aparatmati di BangerTV huawhwhwhwhwa..
Eating a sandwich, watching Sarah talk about Indonesian grind ... can this day get any better? No, it cannot.
"Burgerkill" is better
Listen to some Siksakubur or Jasad.

Greeting from Indonesia... Thankyou for your video..
I'm lil bit sad that my band i've been join them as crew did not make the list, Death Vomit. Yes ofcourse the video only listing Grindcore band and i hope next video Banger TV could talk about Indonesian Metal scene as a whole not only Grindcore, but i still very grateful you guys talking about Metal scene in a country with no 1 Muslim population, Cheers.
Is that a Pagan Altar pendant? Looks awesome!
This was probably the best one so far. Very impressed
TENGKORAK deserved to be mentioned here as they're one of the earliest grindcore act in Indonesia
I agree
Yesss....

they wont mention it, its pathetic even our metal scene getting splitted by these stupid liberal agenda
Thank you, love from Indonesia, stay brutal!
Big thanks for the review from Indonesia 🤘
Do you guys have anything on the Hardcore/ Metal scene in Thailand? Just asking because I will be going back to Thailand this March and I thought maybe I'd look up some shows while I am there.
Thank you BangerTv, for reviewing our country Metal scene...
I haven't listened to Indonesian grind either, but this episode reminded me of one of Indonesia's finest metal bands, Kekal. Which, in turn, now made me want to see a scene report on Christian Metal! I have a feeling that the Banger crew still has a stand-offish attitude towards the scene, and understandably so considering, well, most of metal history and it's attitude toward such things. But consider this a challenge - you will find bands you like, bands you don't like, and I think it will make an interesting episode (or multiple). I'd suggest starting with Seventh Angel, just to get you off on the right foot.
Yeaaahhh ... Thank ... Say hello from indonesia 😊😊
I loveeeee Extreme Decay!👊....good video
My favourite for now :
DEADLY WEAPON - Disillusional Blur
TERROR OF DYNAMITE ATTACK-Behind The Exploitation Of Their Richness Nature
Ah Terror of dynamite attack! superb!
Thanks bangertv!!
hmm
Maskuuuuhh
Extreme Decay!!! The definition of Indonesian grindcore
I saw noxa live! They were awesome!
Yeaah Indonesia metal scene is awesome, so many brutal metal band in here. We are metal people with good attitude and good culture
Jakarta has so many good brutal death bands!
@elektromanyaro I had that happen in Turkey :P Saw a random show while on vacation, only remembered the last band's name (Molested Divinity) but they were all great. I'd love to see some of the live shows in Indonesia and Singapore next.
@elektromanyaro Their album is available on UA-cam through Slam Worldwide, you NEED to check it out. Their drummer has one of the nastiest sounding snares i've heard. It left such a ringing tone in my ear after the show.
My favorite Indonesian grindcore album is from Deadly Weapon called Disillusional Blurs
I know the band Tengkorak was featured on Global Meta (documentary film). Was there a deliberate exclusion of them on this Global Metal episode?
saw noxsa live one time , thay where fantastic
Best presenter and better contributors around it is Indonesian Grind Core knewly news.
And i my self only say w.o.w.
How about Spanish Thrash? There are lots of bands, some with a more Crossover vibe (Soziedad Alkoholika, KOP...), some more traditional (Violblast, Crisix...) also Angelus Apatrida are decently big for the standards there.
I swear! Indonesia has a TON great band.
Thanks BANGER TV 👊
An Indonesian Death/Grind classic is the band Grind Buto. Indonesian scene is pretty much linked to Singapore and Malaysia. From Singapore, my favourite is Demisor and from Malaysia there is the band SelfMadeGod (known as SMG). SMG has some raw recordings but also some good ones. A blast of the blast for the blast!!!
Noxa is the only band I was aware of from this scene. I remember being really surprised that they played at the 2008 Tuska Festival in Helsinki Finland. Can't honestly remember much of the live show but their album Grind Viruses is pretty solid.
I recommend some band from This scene ua-cam.com/video/-fprNBCL9TA/v-deo.html
hell yeah! killer scene report! Can anyone tell me how to get a copy of Slave To The Grind or where can i watch it!? I've know about it since the Lock Horns Essential Grindcore episode but i haven't been able to see it.
google it !
the solution for all my questions, haha

You should look at Brutal Death Metal scene there such bands as Venomed, Sensor Motorik, and Asphyxiate
could you review another band from indonesia ? Deadsquad, i'm not sure grindcore or not, but this band is the most skill we have
Thanks banger tv
Hellprint tour 2019 🤘 in Bandung west Java
Goads had a bit of Master about them. Pretty dope band.
First grindcore from Indonesia I heard was from a site called International Hardcore back in the 2000s. Probably never will figure out what that band was. Maybe it was Proletar or a similar band from the time. Since then I always say indonesian grindcore when asked my favorite style of music.
Besides having lots of great bands, the scene in indonesia is really cool!
There's lots of labels and distros which release not only local bands, but bands from every other parts of the world, and most of times in cassette!
How awesome is that?
And as always: More Sarah! She rules!
Love this series
Arian! I remember him from Global Metal.... !
We have friends in Indonesia since Global Metal!
Yes arian13 of seringai
Sis, the song of kereta jowo mix / kelayung layung so excelent, exotic, please hear it.
Sarah that was fantastic, and I love you by the way, you are absolutely fantastic I love your commentary about this Death Metal thing , what fascinated me, is that you brought us to another part on earth like this unknown place as you described, Indonesia. Is so bazaar and surprising such Indonesia involved to such a extreme Death Metal Band, I never heard that before, wow!!! That’s awesome! I love this type extreme metal band so much, that I can’t get enough with it, one reason why so bazaar and so amazing is, that country such Indonesia 🇮🇩 influenced with this kind of truly head banger, yes, I heard such , Japan, and South Korea they also influenced into Death Metal type extremists Metal Band but, never crossed in my mind such country like Indonesia also influenced, no way! I’m 61 years old, U.S citizens live in California born in Indonesia, my first Metal Band I went to see the concert it was Deep purple, I was 14 years old, as I grew much...much older I listened to much heavier Metal Band such Death Metal Band, like Vader, Amon Amarth and much more, I skipped listening Metallica, I thought they were went to the others direction, a lot of softer, so I look forward to more extreme metal more aggressive and brutal. I thank you that I found you on UA-cam and I really surprise how you discovered that some of those Indonesian musician was influenced to such extreme Death Metal Band, unbelievable, I thank you so much for bringing it this article to us Death Metal Band fan 🤘I love your show hungry for more Banger
Please Try our Rock Scene here in the Philippines... We have Razorback, WolfGang, GreyHounds and Quezo to offer...

"You Suffer" is the best grindcore song ever
And "Dead"
Im recommend to listen some grindcore band from indonesia, the band is TERSANJUNG 13
I AGREE WITH THE LOVE OF GROOVE IN MY GRIND.
Are there gonna be a time where we can create captions? You literally made a video, specifically stating that you'll turn on the feature for Overkill Global, but it's only been done on that particular announcement.
Great question. Yes, you can create captions for all Overkill Global videos! We have a few already done in Portuguese, Spanish, French and German but we want more!
circa mid 90's there was Slow Death from Surabaya
She is very generous with the skulls but on the other hand the bands were very good (maybe I would have even given a little more to the last band because I like my grindcore with a lot of hardcore)
Hello from Indonesia and thx for support Indonesian metal
I love their Slam/Brutal/Grind scene
Noxa is totally awesome. Saw them in tuska open air in Helsinki at 2008. The story goes that they paid their own trip to Finland and were the first band of the festival. 45 minutes of great grincore later I went and bought a t-shirt and their grind viruses cd.
Yes Noxa is pretty cool. I recommend another Indonesian band that's awesome too ua-cam.com/video/-fprNBCL9TA/v-deo.html
Thanks sarah🤘🔥
Mbak Sarah listens to Rajasinga! Segan, Mang!
