The best metal scene in south america is Brazil (you can't compete with Sepultura, Sarcofago, Angra, Overdose, Dorsal Atlantica, Violator, Ratos de Porão, Torture Squad, Shaman, Viper, Nervosa, Nervochaos, Tuatha de Dannan, Hangar, Nocturnall, etc), second for extreme metal is Chile and second for melodic metal is Argentina. So First is Brazil, draw in second Chile and Argentina.

Actually the metal scene in Chile is well know at least here in Germany. Also Chilean metal fans are the one of the best, they are mental. Take a look on some known metal bands playing there.

Yes! Torturer was the first record from another south american band, except for the brazilian ones, I've ever heard! And it's so crushingly good!

Excelent show Sarah, Chile has a very fertile extreme metal scene, for me one of the best of South America but with a little recognition for the metalheads in general. I'm a chilean who lives in Mexico and here few people know chilean metal bands, but lately the scene has grow extremely fast and more and more bands published records and toured over America and Europe, so after almost 40 years this is just beginning. I see you are well informed of what happens in the scene, here I recommend you others bands you might wanna checking out: Dorso, Gorhoth, Hetroertzen, Bewitched, Force of Darkness, Infernal Slaughter, Ejecutor, Miserycore, Ammit, Ripper, Poema Arcanus, Condenados, Perversor, Yajaira, Undercroft, Attacker bloody axe, Necroripper, Hades Archer, Necrosis, Bloody cross, etc. Cheers.

Another great blackened death band from Chile is Praise the Flame. They basically sound like Sadistic Intent but with that Chilean atmosphere added in. Coincidentally their drummer was also in Death Yell.

Nothing really stood out for me but I am super happy seeing these scenes shine! Hyped to see what the the chaps represent next time. Hoping for some Polish, Cascadian (don't like that term) UK black or Norwegian prog!

WOW! I saw a picture of my town (Valdivia) in your intro! It almost made me shear a tear. Chile lost their "hispanic" roots due to the massive invasion of Germans and other Europeans colonies who settle in the 1,800's. Metal movement is huge!! specially in the south of the country. In fact a went to school and college with a few metal heads who have their own metal bands like Hielo Negro and others. Nice channel! Subscribed!

Yes, it is litterally translated unpronounceable, meaning unspeakable. But they got the grammar all wrong, which i love... correct it would be "Unaussprechliche Kulte".

The band started as U.K. 6 years before the Nile's song. U.K. took the name directly from H.P. Lovecraft cults
I'd love to see an episode about the black/death scene in New Zealand. It's pretty small but there are some real world class bands there that get basically no recognition outside of the country because we're tucked away in the world's armpit

Please do one on American Black metal we have some of the best black metal bands Really groundbreaking bands in black metal have come from American like Judas Iscariot , Leviathan , Nachtmystium , Xasthur and Panopticon has music features many familiar elements of black metal, but additionally incorporates bluegrass and Appalachian folk. In addition to sounds typical to heavy metal music, such as distorted guitars and rapid drumming, Panopticon also incorporates a diverse range of additional instrumentation, such as banjos, fiddles, bells, synthesizers and acoustic guitars. More can be said about the other bands i listed and i know there is alot more.
